Ikuta Erina’s “Greeting ~Ikuta Erina” E-Hello! DVD Announced

Ikuta Erina’s e-Hello! DVD titled Greeting ~Ikuta Erina~ has been announced.

We were promised that 9th gen will all get their own solo DVDs and it’s now Erina’s turn. I’m not such a big fan of hers but I think she has natural beauty and with some experience she’ll grow into an amazing member.

I really like the DVD cover so far. You can really see that Eripon’s shy side on the cover (by the way her hands are positioned) but from her smile you can also tell that she’s trying to open herself up. I wanted to mention that because it does seem like she’s trying to improve.

The DVD preview starts off with Eripon indoors listening to rain. She moves outdoors with a clear umbrella and does some poses outdoors before changing her outfit and moving back indoors. While indoors she’s featured in 2 outfits, a pink sweater and another in a blue and white stripped dress. In the 2nd scene indoors she’s playing with the “X game” with some string. (I’m unsure what the game is called in different parts of the world but where I’m from we just call it the x game). The scene ends with Eripon asleep on the couch in her school uniform outfit.

Ikuta may not one of the most popular members of 9th gen but I do believe that some shots of her in the preview were fabulous and I hope that everyone does support her. Hopefully this DVD does get Eripon some new fans.

Preorders for the DVD will start from now until 7/2 with the DVDs being releasing sometime in August.

S/mileage – “Uchouten LOVE” Concert Preview Released

A concert rip of S/mileage’s 6th single titled Uchouten LOVE has been released.

As the staff  tweet that was released a while ago mentioned, the song has a strong eurobeat sound and while it is somewhat difficult to hear in the rip due to the quality I am amazed at how the song sounds so far since it has a catchy instrumental with upbeat lines which many fans will love.

Most of the instrumental seems to have synthesizer with a catchy and upbeat eurobeat style, and I’m impressed with how the lines follow the song since they seem to match perfectly since they are also upbeat, and since everyone has lines it is a great song for fans of the group since everyone gets a chance to show off their vocals.

Since this is a concert rip I will reserve my full judgement until a radio rip is released, but so far I love how the song sounds since it has a strong upbeat theme.

We will probably get the radio rip sometime soon (in a few weeks or a month) so we can finally listen to the song as a studio recording instead of just a concert rip, but meanwhile I hope everyone can listen to this preview since it sounds amazing.

Hopefully all S/mileage fans already have their copy of the single reserved since this sounds like it will be an impressive release.

The release date is set for 8/3.

[Updated] HANGRY&ANGRY, Yaguchi Mari, and Mano Erina May Be Guests At Japan Festa 2011

HANGRY&ANGRY, Yaguchi Mari, and Mano Erina will be guests at this year’s Japan Festa 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand.

There is no confirmation as to whether they will perform.

After the confirmation that HANGRY&ANGRY would appear in Paris this year I didn’t expect to see another overseas appearance so soon, but it seems that there will be 4 members from UFA appearing at this year’s Japan Festa 2011, which is great news since that means fans in Thailand can get to see their favorite idols without having to go to Japan.

There doesn’t seem to be an official confirmation from UFA about their appearance but we will most likely see one in the next few weeks since Japan Festa seems to be a usual event where UFA members usually appear, and since the homepage for the event has a giant banner announcing the news I strongly doubt we will not get a confirmation soon.

So far there hasn’t been an announcement about whether or not each member will perform but I expect to see at least a short performance in some way since it is a great chance to promote.

This hasn’t been confirmed by UFA or H!P but so far it seems like it will most likely be true since Japan Festa has had quite a lot of H!P appearances throughout the past years (such as Fujimoto Miki), but I will update once a confirmation is released.

It seems that only one of the three will appear at Japan Festa although the guest won’t be announced until 6/15, it seems that they did the same for Berryz Koubou’s appearance a few months back, so even though only one of them will appear we don’t know who it might be, but we will find out in a few days so I will update once the guest is announced.

Ishikawa Rika and Okai Chisato To Appear In a Mini Drama

Starting this July, Ishikawa Rika and Okai Chisato will appear in a mini drama titled Tokusou Shirei! Aichi Police.

The news was revealed by a blog entry from what appears to be one of the actors (in other words it’s not officially confirmed yet but it’s most likely true). The episodes will be 4 minutes long each and will feature Chisa as the character called “Mai” while Rika will be her boss.

I didn’t expect to see Rika and Chisa appear in a drama together but I am glad that they will since we will be able to find out how good they are at acting, and since the story features a police theme it will be fun to see if they will use comedy or some other kind of theme to act out the story.

So far there aren’t that many details about the actual story but we should find out sometime soon once Rika or Chisa post a blog entry about it or once a site opens up with more info about this interesting police mini drama.

Despite the episodes being somewhat short (really short) this is still a great opportunity for both of them to show of their acting skills for people watching the TV, and since it airs at a great time (at 7 PM) there will most likely be more people watching.

Hopefully we get to see the episodes once they air so we can find out what theme or story it will have, but so far a mini drama with Rika and Chisa is a must see for anyone.

The episodes will air starting 7/4 on Nagoya TV from 18:56 ~ 19:00.

The setlist for S/mileage’s 2011 Limited Live S/mile Factory has been released.

For the most part the concert is among the best from S/mileage that I have seen since we got a chance to listen to many of their songs, including their next single Uchouten LOVE as well as songs we don’t usually hear such as This is Unmei and while it is just a one day concert it was a great one for fans who attended.

Since this will be the first time their new single was performed it’s just a matter of hours until a preview is available, but meanwhile it seems like they performed most of their singles (apart from Asu wa Deeto and Ganbaranakutemo) and along with a lot of b-sides and a rap battle it turned out be an amazing and full concert.

There is only one more performance left (which will start soon) but hopefully their two other events in September turn out be as impressing as this one.
