“Arakawa Under The Bridge” Trailer Released

16 06 2011

A trailer featuring Abe Natsumi as the character for P-ko in the live action movie for Arakawa Under The Bridge has been released.

As we found out back in late April, Abe will appear in a drama and movie adaptation of the anime series Arakawa Under The Bridge, and I’m glad to see that we finally get a trailer since we can find out how the drama and/or movie will look, and for the most part it looks very interesting.

The trailer features various scenes so it’s hard to mention them, but Abe appeared three times throughout the movie, alongside other characters with very interesting outfits, such as a Kappa and a man with a star head, which fits in with the anime and gives it a great comedy theme.

We don’t get to see the basic story for the anime since the preview focuses more on showing off all of the characters but fans should already know the basic idea of what will happen, although the rest of us will find out when the drama starts airing next month.

For now I hope everyone can check out the trailer since it is fairly unique and it features quite a lot of fun scenes that many will like, but I look forward to seeing how the drama will look like once it starts airing.

The movie will be released in February 2012 and the drama will start on 7/26 at 0:55 (JST).

Mano Erina Will Be The Opening Act For Abe Natsumi’s Concert

26 05 2011

Mano Erina will be featured as the opening act for Abe Natumi’s ~Angelic~ concert.

It’s nice that out of all the artists available they chose Mano to open for Abe. It’s good for Mano since it provides exposure to new fans and for Abe it’s a good way to start a concert because many of Mano’s songs are upbeat and can get the crowd involved. While the news reports Mano will make an appearance for only 1 day hopefully she’ll be invited to open for other artists and that will help with promotion for Mano.

Mano Erina is currently set as the opening act for 10/25.

Abe Natsumi To Appear In The Drama Adaptation For “Arakawa Under The Bridge”

30 04 2011

Abe Natsumi will be in a drama adaptation of the romantic comedy manga and anime titled Arakawa Under the Bridge.

A movie has also been decided for 2012. Nacchi will play the character named “P-ko”:

While I haven’t read the manga or seen the anime I did like the brief glimpses I got to see from Google since they gave me a chance to check out Abe’s character, and as most of us can tell she does a pretty good job of looking like the character while doing a cute pose.

I’m not sure if she will be in the movie as well or if the movie will be animated but I hope that we get to see Nacchi in it since she does a pretty god job of acting, but we will most likely find out just how well she will do once we see the drama this summer.

Hopefully Nacchi fans can get a chance to see the drama and check out the movie once they are released.

The movie will be released this 2012 and the drama will be released this summer on TBS.

Abe Natsumi Will Be In The Musical “Dracula”

26 02 2011

Abe Natsumi will play Lucy in the musical Dracula.

According to the site the musical is based of another Dracula musical from Graz, Austria and even though I haven’t seen that musical I am a fan of horror themed plays or movies, and since Abe will be starring in the play it definitely makes it a must see for Abe fans in Japan.

The site features a small interview with Abe and in it she states that she will be playing Lucy, who is the victim of Dracula and becomes a vampire herself, and it seems like an interesting role for her since most of her previous work has her as the lead or one of the leads for the play.

I strongly encourage fans who are in the area and are fans of Dracula to stop by a performance and check out Abe’s musical since it seems that this play will be amazing.

The musical will run from 8/20 ~ 9/18 at the following times:

Dream Morning Musume Announces Fall Concert Currently “Untitled”

    28 01 2011

Dream Morning Musume announced that they will be holding a Fall concert currently “Untitled

The news is on their official site and the concerts will start somewhere in September 2011.

Other than that announcement nothing else is known. I’m really surprised to hear that they’ve announced another concert before the 1st one even began! Hearing about another concert I’m also excited because the Fall concert could be used to promote the album, so if there are any new songs we’ll be able to hear it performed live, which I find more better than the studio version.

Pre-sale tickets for the concert is currently available and the concert is planned for 9/2011.

Dream Morning Musume Announces Album Titled “Dream 1”

    28 01 2011

Dream Morning Musume announced at a press conference that they will be releasing their 1st album titled “Dream 1“.

There will be two versions, the limited and regular edition. The limited edition comes with a DVD while the regular comes with a postcard.

Hearing that they announced an album I’m really excited to hear what kind of songs they have on it, I’m hoping they’ll release some new songs but it’s also possible that they will be doing covers so we’ll see how that turns out.

Also originally Tsuji Nozomi had been listed as a member but after giving birth and all of course she wouldn’t have been included in the concerts but I’m wondering if she will be participating in the album. As for the recent graduates, they most likely won’t be participating in this album since Junjun and Linlin have returned to China and Kamei will probably still be recovering. But on their official site it says that the line up may change at the concert so it’s possible that they may change who participates on the album.

Overall I’m looking forward to seeing Dream Morning Musume continue their activity and I hope that their concert as well as their album is a success!

The album will be released on 4/20.
