DVD Covers for Morning Musume’s “Morning Labo 2” and “Rival Survival DVD Solo Box” Released

30 06 2011

The DVD covers for Morning Musume’s “Morning Labo 2” and “Rival Survival DVD Solo Box Set” has been released.

The Morning Labo 2 DVD is a from a Morning Musume fan club event and I’m glad that information about this was released since many fan club event releases are rarely announced. The cover is very simple and features a group picture of Morning Musume and although it’s a very LQ preview of the cover I like how “candid” the photo looks. There’s no fancy background or group formation so it has that natural look going on.

The next DVD is from Junjun, Linlin and Eri’s graduation last year. I’m really surprised that the DVD is being released now since it’s been awhile since the three graduated, I’m sure the reason it’s coming out now though because if they had released it after they graduated it would’ve taken a lot of attention away from 9th gen and the earthquake probably pushed the release back. Regardless of that I like the cover since it matches the military theme of the concert and the pictures of the members look amazing.

The release date is currently unknown but hopefully it will be released soon.

“Morning Musume Single Clips 6 DVD” Cover Released

29 03 2011

“Morning Musume Single Clips 6 DVD” Cover has been released.

The cover looks as if they took the 45th single cover and simply added on Koharu, Linlin, Junjun and Eri at the bottom. Everyone except the 4 mentioned earlier are using the outfits from the 45th single. Eri, Junjun, Linlin and Koharu seem to be using the outfits from the last single they appeared in. (Koharu using Kimagure Princess outfit) It’s hard to tell since it is a head shot but it’d be the most logical to use since it’s the most recent picture of the member and I’m assuming since Koharu is featured on the cover Kimagure Princess is also included in the DVD.

I think it’s quite creative that they were able to incorporate the graduated members onto the DVD. They match the Maji desu ka ska theme and it looks as if they are still a part of the group.

In the bottom corner in a green cloud it features the title in pink and blue block letters. The colors are strange, they don’t really match each other and are all dominate colors but it adds to the youthful feel of the cover and it isn’t too distracting since it’s been put in the little corner.

Overall I love the cover and hopefully all fans feel the same way.

Please support Morning Musume and purchase a copy when it’s released.

The release date is set for 4/13.

Bijo Gaku Vol 3 & 4 DVD Announced

20 12 2010

Bijo Gaku’s 3rd and 4th DVD volumes have been announced.

I’m glad to see that after the first two volumes for the series were announced we get a chance to find out when the next two volumes will be released since it gives fans of the series a chance to check out the episodes again in DVD.

It seems that the 3rd volume will feature Mano content since she seems to be the only H!P member on the cover, while the 4th volume will feature Maimi, Sayu, Mitsui, Maimai, Captain, Kamei, Jun Jun, and Kumai, which is great since we get to see another exclusive DVD with one member and another with the groups doing various activites.

Hopefully fans of the series reserve their copy of the DVD since it seems like a great way for fans to enjoy the episodes once again.

The release date is set for 2/2.

15 12 2010

Today, December 15, 6th generation member Kamei Eri and 8th generation members Jun Jun and Lin Lin officially graduated from Hello! Project and Morning Musume after a performance at Yokohama Arena.

The post is really long since it features about 70+ images from the live broadcast, so I decided to put the full post after the break:

Hello! Project’s “Hello Cover” Songs Announced

7 12 2010

According to a recent video uploaded on the UFA Youtube channel, various Hello! Project members will be releasing covers of popular H!P songs in a series called Hello Cover online.

Each H!P member will cover nine solo songs, the first being Kamei Eri who will cover these songs:

  • Manatsu no Kousen / Morning Musume
  • Furusato / Morning Musume
  • Koi wo Shichai Mashita / Tanpopo
  • Seinaru Kane ga Hibiku Yoru / Tanpopo
  • Egao ni Namida ~THANK YOU! DEAR MY FRIENDS~ / Matsuura Aya
  • LOVE Namida Iro / Matsuura Aya
  • Koi no Hana / Abe Natsumi
  • Onegai Miwaku no Target / Melon Kinenbi
  • Kousui / Melon Kinenbi

It’s somewhat surprising to see that they have started to release covers of H!P songs on iTunes since we usually only got to see formal releases, although it doesn’t seem that surprising once you think about it since it most likely has something to do with Chisato’s release of Love Namida Iro on iTunes a few weeks before (which apparently did very well).

What does surprise me is that they will cover 9 songs each since it seems like a great way for fans to enjoy some exclusive tracks of each member singing some H!P classics, and since they are solo songs it gives each member a chance to shine.

Kamei is the first member to go, which is understandable since her graduation is only a few weeks away, and I have to admit that her list of songs seems interesting since there are many songs from other great groups from H!P such as Tanpopo, Momusu, Ayaya, Abe, and Melon Kinenbi.

Hopefully fans buy her songs when they are released since it seems like a great way to support her.

The song will be released on 12/8.

Kamei Eri – “THANKS!” PB Cover Released

1 12 2010

The cover for Kamei Eri’s PB titled THANKS! has been released.

I was very impressed when I first saw the cover since it features Kamei holding a bouquet of flowers in a white dress, and even though it is simple I really love the way that the title of the PB looks along with the pictures since it seems like a perfect cover for her last PB as a Momusu member.

Kamei looks amazing in the cover (to say the least) and since she is wearing a white dress while carrying a bouquet of flowers it seems like the best formal way for Kamei to say thank you to her many fans around the world.

The title follows the theme of the cover since it features a simple white font on Kamei’s neck, which is somewhat hard to read although it doesn’t distract from the main target of the cover (Kamei), and since the background is a simple gray color it does show Kamei off perfectly.

Overall the cover of the PB is amazing and it fits the theme of the entire PB well since it features Kamei looking at the camera while holding a bouquet of roses, and even though it is somewhat simple I couldn’t imagine a better picture for her last PB release as a Morning Musume member.

Hopefully fans reserve a copy of this PB since it seems like it will be an amazing PB for Kamei fans.

The release date is set for 12/5.

Kamei, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin Graduation Concert To Be Broadcast In 3D

16 11 2010

According to Natalie.mu the Yokohama Arena graduation concert for Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin will be broadcast in 3D live on TV.

The concert will be re-broadcasted in January in 2D.

When I saw this announcement I was very excited (to say the least) since this means that fans who can’t attend the concert will be able to see it in their own home in 3D live, which is incredible news since we won’t have to wait until the DVD is released.

Many fans stated months ago that they would like to see the concert being broadcast on Ustream for everyone to enjoy, and I’m glad that UFA decided not only to broadcast the concert live, but to do so in 3D on TV since it is an amazing opportunity for everyone to join all of Momusu as three members graduate (and most likely the new members are introduced).

Apart from that fans who don’t have 3D glasses, miss the broadcast, or simply want to see it again will be able to do so next year (January 1) in 2D, which is another amazing bonus since it gives fans a chance to see the broadcast without having to have 3D glasses.

I’m glad that UFA has decided to do this since it is a unique moment in Momusu history, and since it will be available to all fans (with access to the channels) it is a great way for casual fans or curious listeners to tune in and watch the concert.

It would be great if we could get the concert released in 3D, but we will have to wait for the announcement to find out if we will get that or the usual DVD + Bluray release, but I really hope we can see the 3D concert being released in some way.

Overall this is amazing news for Momusu fans since it gives us a chance to see the concert from our own homes, and even though it can’t compare to being there in person it is the second best thing for all fans to enjoy.

Hopefully all fans spread the word and tune into the broadcast when the concert begins in December.

The concert will air live on 12/15 from 18:30 – 21:30 on SKY channel 3D 169, the 2D broadcast will be on 1/1/2011 from 21:00 – 23:30 on SKY channel HD800, HD190, and 180.

Bigger “Hello! Hello! ~Memories~ Morning Musume Kamei Eri, Michishige Sayumi, Tanaka Reina” PB Cover Released

13 11 2010

A bigger cover for the 6th generation special PB titled Hello! Hello! ~Memories~ Morning Musume Kamei Eri, Michishige Sayumi, Tanaka Reina has been released.

I’m glad to see that a bigger cover has been released since we get to see the theme and pictures used a lot better, and from what I can tell the cover is very impressive (and a bit sad at the same time) since it features all of the Rokkies sitting in front of a dark sunset while looking at the camera with calm expressions.

Since the PBs theme is about reliving memories before Kamei graduates it was somewhat expected that we would see a calm and slightly sad cover since that is most likely how they and many fans feel about the graduation, but I have to admit that I really like the way the theme looks since the title even has a similar “memories” theme since it is featured in gold cursive letters.

As for the Rokkies, they each have a calm expression on their face as they sit next to each other in front of a dark sunset and for the most part I am happy to see that they chose this cover since the mood of the PB along with the setting match the feelings of many fans.

Along with the cover here are a few previews (since the PB was already released):

From what we can see they are wearing the Rival Survival outfits, which is somewhat surprising but a nice touch since they are the outfits for their last tour together, apart from that there were many mentions from fans that the PB focuses more on casual shots and not bikini shots, which is a nice touch since most fans would have wanted to see a PB with pictures of the girls in normal clothing.

The previews above are all very impressive, especially the group shot since they are wearing the outfits for the tour in a forest, but I love the way each individual shot looks since they feature very impressive poses such as Kamei in front of some stairs, Sayu resting on the floor, and Reina posing in the middle of a road.

Overall the PB is very impressive since the calm but sad cover of the PB along with many casual shots of the girls are a great combination for a memory-filled PB, and even though we haven’t seen many pictures from the PB itself it seems like a must-have PB for Rokkie and Momusu fans alike.

Hopefully many fans buy the PB since it seems like an amazing release.

The PB was released on 11/12.

“Hello Hello! ~Memories~ Morning Musume Kamei Eri, Michishige Sayumi, Tanaka Reina” PB Cover Preview Released

11 11 2010

The cover for the Momusu 6th generation PB titled Hello Hello! ~Memories~ Morning Musume Kamei Eri, Michishige Sayumi, Tanaka Reina has been released.

Even though the cover is very (very) small it does give us a good chance to check out the theme for the cover, and I have to admit that I really like what I can see so far since it features a calm scene of Sayu, Kamei, and Reina sitting in front of a beach sunset.

As the title suggests the PB will be full of memories for both the fans and the Rokkies since they will go back to the place of their first photo shoot together, and even though it is somewhat sad knowing that this will be the last Rokkie release I do look forward to seeing the many pictures included.

Since the cover is so small I will wait a bit until bigger covers are released to comment on the outfits, scene and poses, so hopefully we get to see them soon since I really like what I can see so far.

The release date is set for 11/12.

Kamei Eri’s Sotsugyou PB Titled “THANKS”

10 11 2010

The title for Kamei Eri’s special graduation commemoration PB has been revealed to be THANKS.

Even though the title looks a bit simple I have to admit that I love how it sounds since a PB full of special Kamei pictures and the title THANKS seems like a nice way to thank all of her fans for years of support.

For now we only have the title, but we should get a cover sometime during the next few weeks, so hopefully it fits the title of the PB well.

The release date is set for 12/5.
