8 releases today, Kusumi Koharu’s solo DVD for her PB, C-ute’s single V for their latest single, 2 Yorosen DVD’s and Mano Erina’s 4th single:
Kusumi Koharu – Jump!!, last solo DVD for Kusumi Koharu as a member of Morning Musume and H!P. I haven’t seen the DVD completely but from the previews I can tell that it is a great DVD for fans.
It was kind of sad to see the previews since we know that Koha is graduating this December, but at least it’s great to see her be herself while shooting the PB.
Not much else I can say since I haven’t seen it completely but I would definitely recommend it to fans since it is her last solo DVD release.
C-ute – EVERYDAY Zekkouchou! (Single V), the Single V for C-ute’s 10th single “EVERYDAY Zekkouchou”. This Single V contains the normal PV, the Close-Up version and the Making Of.
The normal PV is shoot on the roof of a building where C-ute dance in a black platform. For the most part the Dance shot is the PV, although there are many group and solo Close-Up shots which look great. The Close-Up and Making Of I haven’t seen so I can’t comment on those.
Overall I would recommend it to C-ute fans, and I would slightly recommend it to casual fans because of the catchy intro.
Yorosen Vol 1 & 2, DVD collection of the episodes of Yorosen. I have no idea how many episodes are in each DVD, but what I do know is that I would recommend it to all H!P fans who haven’t seen the episodes since they are really entertaining.
Mano Erina – Kono Mune no Tokimeki wo, Mano Erina’s 4th major single which debuted at 6th on the Oricon charts. The A-side is “Kono Mune no Tokimeki wo”, and the B-side is “Happy Birthday Mama”.
The A-side is a return to Mano’s roots singing ballads while playing piano. The song is somewhat slow, but the PV does have S/mileage as background dancers and chorus singers which helps a bit. The rhythm is somewhat catchy but overall I wouldn’t say it is one of her best songs.
The B-side, “Happy Birthday Mama” is upbeat and happy, and it has a really catchy chorus. The only problem is the excess of sound effects, since they seem to have added them randomly and at the same noise level as the main song which really distracts from Mano.
There were some small problems but overall I really liked how the single came out. It’s not the most memorable of all of her singles but when she sings a ballad it really sounds great especially with her soft voice, that is why I would definitely recommend it to Mano fans and fans of ballads.
Next release date is 10/3 with Morning Musume’s 2010 calendar.
