Lilpri To Be The Opening Act For A Hello! Project ~Fankora!~ Concert

9 07 2010

Lilpri will be the opening act for the first concert of Hello! Project’s Concert Tour 2010 Summer ~Fankora!~.

I have to admit that I was a bit surprised about the announcement since Lilpri is just an anime unit, but it is a great chance to promote their single in front of H!P fans so that everyone gets a chance to hear it.

Hopefully Lilpri get a great reaction from fans, and while it seems that the setlist for each one of the concerts will be somewhat unique it will without a doubt be one of the most memorable concert tours for fans (and for me as well since I have to update 8 times instead of one).

So hopefully all of the H!P members are ready for this great tour and while we have no idea what the setlists will be we do have many hints, such as Lilpri’s song as well as their recent singles.

Good luck to Lilpri!

Lilpri will appear on the following date:

Lilpri – “Little Princess” Cover Released

27 05 2010

The cover for Lilpri’s 1st single titled Little Princess has been released.

Like expected we get a combination of the anime characters and S/mileage cosplaying as the characters they are voicing in the anime, but apart from that I like how the cover looks since it fits well with the upbeat sound of both of the songs as well as the theme of the anime.

The background is a bright pink that is decorated with sparkles/stars  and the title is decorated with cute and bright colors, and since the anime is made for girls it was almost guaranteed that we would get a cover with pink, neon, or rainbow colors and not surprisingly the cover has all three.

Overall the cover looks great since it matches the song and the anime perfectly, and even though the cover almost glows from the amount of pink, rainbow, neon, and sparkles it is sure to catch the attention of the fans who watch the anime (and anyone else who passes).

The release date is set for 6/16.

Hello! Project 2010 Winter Concert Tour ~Mobekimasu!~ & ~Shuffle Deeto!~ Blu-Ray Announced

24 05 2010

It has just been announced that Hello! Project’s 2010 Winter Concert Tour’s ~Mobekimasu!~ and ~Shuffle Deeto!~ will be re-released on Blu-ray. This is the first Blu-ray release from H!P.

I’m glad that they are finally trying out blu-ray for some releases since I have heard that the quality is a lot better than a normal DVD (I haven’t watched any blu-rays so I have no idea if that is true), although in my opinion the sales will be somewhat lower than expected for many reasons.

For example, the DVD version of the concerts have already been released for quite some time now and the people that usually buy concert DVDs have already done so. Apart from that the price is roughly around 5,250 Yen for each one of the blu-ray concert DVDs, which is 1,450 Yen more than the DVD version (which means that you would have to pay about 2,900 Yen for a slight quality improvement in both releases).

Despite that there will probably be many fans who will want to buy the Blu-ray because of the higher quality (higher quality is always better) so hopefully sales are high enough to convince UFA to make more H!P blu-ray releases (solo image blu-rays for example) although we will have to wait and see what happens.

The release date is set for 8/4.

Lilpri 1st Single “Little Princess” Tracklist Released

19 05 2010

1 Little ♥ Princess
2 Otona ni Narutte Muzukashii!!!
4 Little ♥ Princess

The tracklist for Lilpri’s 1st single titled Little Princess has been released on HMV.

I have to admit that I was a bit surprised to see 4 tracks for the single, since regularly we only get 3, but I am glad to see that they included Otona ni Narutte Muzukashii!!! since it is also part of the anime (the ED theme I believe).  I have no idea if it will be the 4-nin S/mileage version (most likely) or another recorded version without Ogawa (not likely) but we will soon find out when it is released.

Two tracks are expected since Little Princess was the confirmed a-side (not to mention the main song of the single) and since a-sides regularly get instrumental versions it was almost guaranteed that we would see it among the main tracklist.

The other track HAPPY GO LUCKY is a new song (from what I can remember) and it will be interesting to see how it sounds, although the title suggests it will most likely be a happy upbeat song.

Overall the tracklist was somewhat surprising and with the release of 4 songs in a single (according to HMV) it will be a great way to convince many S/mileage fans to buy a copy, so hopefully S/mileage fans do so to support this unit.

The release date is set for 6/16.

Hello! Project ~Mobekimasu~ & ~Shuffle Deeto~ Live Concert PB Cover Released

12 05 2010

The cover for Hello! Project’s LIVE TOUR PHOTO DOCUMENT 「Hello! Project 2010 Winter Concert “Kachou Fuugetsu ~Mobekimasu~” & “Kachou Fuugetsu ~Shuffle Deeto~」 has been released.

The cover is somewhat plain since it only features a collage of concert pictures of the 25 members of H!P wearing the same red dress with a simple white font that says “Hello! Project 2010 Winter Kachou” in the middle along with “Mobekimasu! &” on the top and “Shuffle Deeto” at the bottom.

I can’t really say that I like it that much since it is really simple but I will hold back until I see some pages from the PB since it’s the content that makes a PB great, and since it will feature pictures from both of the concerts we will probably get some great pictures of the costumes they used.

We will most likely get some previews sometime soon since the release date is near so hopefully that is the case.

The release date is set for 5/14.

Yuuka, Kanon and Wada In New Anime Unit: Lilpri

25 04 2010

Maeda Yuuka, Fukuda Kanon, and Wada Ayaka have just been announced to be part of an anime unit titled Lilpri (the romaji for the name is Rirupuri). Their first single titled Little Princess has also been announced for release.

Since the start of the anime we found out that Yuuka, Wada and Kanon sang the OP song, and knowing UFA it was very likely that we would see it in some way released on a CD or album, but the surprising move is that they formed an anime unit and will release it under the group name Lilpri.

As for the song that will be released (preview below) it fits the anime well since it is upbeat and happy (imagine what the OP of a girl anime sounds like and you got a good idea) and I have to admit that it sounds great since their voices all mix in really well.

We will most likely get some sort of PV from this release (most, if not all, anime units do) so I look forward to hearing the full version of the song and c/w, as well as finding out what the covers and possible PV will look like.

The release date is set for 6/16.

Hello! Project Revival Shuffle Units “Compilation Single A & B” Announced

23 04 2010

Two Hello! Project shuffle unit “singles” titled Compilation Single A & B (tentative titles) have been announced.

The first single, Compilation Single A, will feature Tanpopo #, Pucchimoni V, and Shin Mini Moni and it will come in two versions – Regular (CD) and Limited (CD + DVD). The second single, Compilation Single B, will also come in Regular (CD) and Limited (CD + DVD) versions and it will feature High-King, ZYX-a, Aa!, and Zoku Biyuuden.

Each “single” will feature new songs, instrumentals, as well as a bonus track. The new songs will be one for each group, although it isn’t clear whether the bonus track will feature only one group or all of them (most likely all of them).

It’s great that we are getting more shuffle unit releases since the only release they have had was on the Pucchi Best 10 album, and even then it only featured 5 groups out of the current 7 shuffle groups (Zoku Biyuuden and ZYX-a didn’t get a release).

The mention of new songs as well as bonus tracks is interesting since it might mean completely new songs and if that is the case there is the slight possibility of there being some PVs for the songs, especially with the DVD that will be included with the Limited versions, which would be great since we have only had a chance to see them perform in concerts.

Even though we don’t have that much information about this new release it will be interesting to see the tracklist as well as the covers, and if we are lucky we might get a chance to see some PVs on the DVD included with the Limited versions (although there is a chance that it only has concert performances or other extras).

This “single” hasn’t been officially confirmed but hopefully it is since I would really like to hear more songs from the shuffle groups, as well as a unique shuffle release.

The release date is set for 6/30.
