Shuukan Yoro! Vol 72 ~New Years Edition~

31 12 2010

A whole year has gone by in a blink of an eye and there are many different things that happened throughout this eventful year, the biggest of them being the graduation of 3 Morning Musume members and the announcement of the 9th generation auditions (to name a few).

So while a lot of stuff has happened this year I’m grateful that the blog finally passed the 1,000,000 mark and that fans continue to read the blog and support H!P since it’s a great sign that H!P is still alive and well despite some fairly unpopular decisions by UFA.

Despite that I want to thank fans in name of the H!SN team -ladylibra, Ayuchii, and me – for visiting the site each day to read up on H!P news since it is an honor to be able to provide H!P news for fans around the world each day.

Hopefully next year will be a great one for H!P, and while we don’t know what will happen in the future we at H!SN look forward to providing the news to fans around the world each day, so please continue to visit the site to stay up to date with all of the news that happens the H!P and UFA world.

Have a great time with family and friends as you welcome the year 2011, thank you for visiting the site, and please continue to read H!SN!

Happy New Year!

Site Updates: The last week was somewhat busy but I managed to update a few things I wanted to get done in time, and while I haven’t had a chance to do all of them I will finish updating the sections as soon as possible.

The H!P Birthday section and the profile section are up to date and first thing tomorrow morning I will update the Upcoming Releases and Schedule sections, so please look forward to that.

The anniversary of the blog is fast approaching so I will prepare a special post for that as well (January 15 if I remember correctly), and apart from that the end of the year means another post with all of the H!P Poll results for the year, so I will try and get that done by the end of the weekend.

So for now there is quite a lot to do but since I go back to school on the 17th I will do everything possible to finish as much as I can before then, so please look forward to that.

Polls: The winner for this poll was Suzuki Airi with 471 votes (51%), congratulations Airi! Fukuda Kanon came in second with 246 votes (27%) and Sugaya Risako came in third place with 198 votes (22%).

There was a total of 915 votes for this poll.

Congratulations Airi!

The poll was a bit one sided since the beginning since Airi managed to stay in first for most of the week, and while Risako seemed to be among the favorites she somehow ended up in 3rd place after Kanon, which was really surprising.

Despite that I’m glad to see that so many H!P fans voted since it gave us a clearer and more realistic view of who won, and while Airi seems to continue to dominate I’m glad to see that Kanon and Risako fans voted for their favorites, although for now congratulations Airi!

Like I mentioned above I will update with the poll results for the year which will include a total amount of votes each member got in each one of the polls they were in, and since the polls all followed the same layout (3 members each week) it should give us a clearer view of who is the overall winner.

Also I have been thinking of adding OGs in the polls since I have recieved many comments about it, and I will try to find a way to have a current H!P poll as well as a special OG poll from time to time since it seems like a great way for fans to show their support for Yaguchi, Rika, Yossie, Yuko, Abe, Miki, Konno, and the rest of the OG members.

For now I haven’t had a chance to get all of the poll results but I will spend most of the day tomorrow getting the results so that I can add everything up.

Just a reminder for those who don’t vote: If you do have a chance please vote since it only takes two clicks and you help your favorite member appear as member of the week!

Next poll will feature Tanaka Reina, Mitsui Aika, and Maeda Yuuka so everyone please vote for the next H!P member of the week!

To make it easier for fans I will provide the direct link to the poll HERE.

Please vote!

Reviews: The Buono review is finally up!

I finished it at about 3 am and I published it shortly after, so it did take quite a bit to complete. I had to redo most of it since it didn’t make that much sense but I’m happy that I finally got a chance to release it since it seemed like an overdue release.

While I did release the review I am currently working on the Momoko PB review which should take quite a bit of time, but since I don’t have much planned I will spend all the time I can finishing it.

I will go back to school on the 17th so my plan is to release as many reviews as I can since next year will most likely be busier, so hopefully I can release all of the other reviews I have yet to do.

I will update the Twitter when the review is released so please look forward to it!

Shuukan Yoro: It’s the 3rd of Tanaka Reina’s week about “Politics”

The theme for today’s class wil be “foreign Prime Ministers” and we get to learn about the Prime Minister in China, Thailand, Germany, and Turkmenistan and an interesting fact for each one of them (except for the Prime Minister from Turkmenistan since the class continues next week).

For the most part it was interesting to see so many facts about each one of the Prime Ministers since most of them are not that known, and even though the class wasn’t as energetic I did like the many reactions from the class to Reina’s facts.

Hopefully fans can check out the episode:

Official Morning Musume Youtube Channel Opened

31 12 2010

Morning Musume’s official Youtube channel has been opened.

The channel features 47 videos covering most of the videos they have had since they started, which is great since fans of old or new Morning Musume can watch the many PVs as they want in one channel without having to wonder if the video will still be there tomorrow, and while the banner is somewhat simple I really like the way the channel looks so far.

There are a lot of videos in the channel, and since it seems that they started uploading them since 3 months ago it means that the channel has been planned for quite some time (uploading 47 videos isn’t easy). I’m glad that they finally revealed it since we can look forward to videos being released on this channel without having to wait for a TV rip.

The banner features 5-nin Momusu in front of a white elegant pattern, and although it may be a bit too simple it was most likely done that way since the new members of the 9th generation will be added soon.

Hopefully fans get a chance to check out the channel and the many videos in it since it seems like the perfect channel for all Momusu fans.

Mano Erina’s Concert Tour 2011 Announced

31 12 2010

Mano Erina’s next concert tour, currently untitled, has been announced.

Fans will be able to suggest songs that will be included in the setlist, although only her songs will be available to request.

I’m glad to see that Mano will be getting another concert tour since it has been quite some time since her last one (her last solo tour was a year ago) and since they are allowing song requests it’s a great way for fans to join in and get a chance to hear Mano sing their favorite songs.

The song requests have already been done with H!P’s Fankora concert tour so it’s great to see that they are bringing it back since it was a unique way to give fans a voice in deciding the setlist, and since Mano has a large variety of different songs it will give fans a chance to decide what songs they want to hear.

Here is a short guide on how to fill out the request for those who would like to request songs (for address just select randomly, I don’t think it matters for overseas fans):

Hopefully many fans go to both of her concerts and request songs to show UFA and Mano that she does have quite a few fans supporting her, and since this will be her first solo concert in a year (and a half) it gives fans enough time to practice all of her songs and be ready for the start of the concert.

If you have the time please request songs for her concert tour since it makes it more likely that your favorite songs will appear in the setlist.

The tour will run throughout May and June with two confirmed dates of 5/28 at Shibuya C.C. Lemon and 6/11 at Zepp Osaka.

S/mileage won the “Best Newcomer Award” at the 52nd Japan Record Awards

31 12 2010

S/mileage won their Best Newcomer Award at the 52nd Japan Record Awards.

It’s amazing to see that Smileage managed to win this award while they had tough competiton, specially K-pop group  SNSD who were their major rivals, and that award will hopefully help S/mileage getting better and boost their confidence.

To see such a young group that debuted not so long ago get a very important award like this one is definitely exceptional (although Momusu and C-ute also got this award before). Here are some pictures from the ceremony:

S/mileage performed 2 songs during the ceremony, Ganbaranakutemo ee nende!, and Yume Miru 15 after receiving the award as shown in this video where you can see how happy and speechless they were (Saki was really happy and Kanon couldn’t stop crying).

C-ute – “C-ute Summer Fall Concert Tour 2010 ~Dance Special!! “Chou UraNAITO!~” Blu-ray Announced

30 12 2010

A Blu-ray edition for C-ute’s C-ute Summer Fall Concert Tour 2010 ~Dance Special!! ~Chou UraNAITO!~ has been announced.

It’s so great to see that the Blu-ray releases keep being announced almost immediatly after the DVDs, to make it easier for fans to choose their favorite version of the concert and enjoy it whether it’s on DVD or Blu-ray.

This concert was really special with the dance theme going on and it’s awesome to see that a Blu-ray edition is going to be released since fans will most likely want to see this concert in a better quality that is provided by the Blu-ray, and they will be able to enjoy it at it’s best.

Hopefully, fans who prefer Blu-ray releases will be able to provide themselves with a copy since it’s an amazing concert showing C-ute’s dancing and spirit.

The release date is set for 2/23.

Buono’s 11th Single Tracklist Released

30 12 2010

The tracklist for Buono’s 11th single titled “Zassou no Uta” has been released.

1. Zassou no Uta

2. Seishun 17 Kaiten Rock

4. Zassou no Uta (Instrumental)

As you can see this single features 3 new songs and this is something that has never been done before in Buono’s history. In their previous releases there would be an A single, a coupling song and then the instrumental versions of those songs.

I personally like the fact that there are 3 new songs, it sort of makes up for the time they were inactive. Unfortunately, this single only features 1 instrumental so fans of the instrumentals will be shorted on this one. But we should just be grateful that Buono is back and hopefully it’ll stay that way for a while.

Hopefully all fans pre-order a copy or buys a copy when it’s released.

The release date is 2/2.

Tsuji Nozomi Announces Name For Her 2nd Child

29 12 2010

On one of Tsuji’s blog posts she announced that her son is named Sugiura Seia.

Seia means “blue skies” and she gave him that name because the day he was born the weather was good and Sugiura is the family name (or last name).

I think the name is very creative and I love that it has a meaning behind it. I also find his name unique because it’s winter and I’m assuming Japan might have some rain/snow or even be cloudy on most days so having a clear blue sky is somewhat rare during this time of year, unless your living in the tropics.

Congratulations again to the Sugiura family for their newest addition to the family and we all hope that everyone is doing well!

The DVD for Morning Musume’s Autumn Concert Tour titled Morning Musume Concert Tour 2010 Autumn ~Rival Survival~ has been announced.

Like most of the DVDs we get from concerts, this one will probably have the tracklist of their last performance on 12/15, which will eventually be the DVD for Kamei, JunJun and LinLin’s graduation, although this isn’t confirmend yet, so we should have the official tracklist soon.

It’s great to see that they announced the DVD so fast since most of the fans who couldn’t attend the concert would want to see it as soon as possible, and since this DVD costs somewhat more than the usual concert DVDs (almost 5,000 Yen), it must be because of the fact that they will include the graduation ceremony, which must explain the lenght of 2 hours.

Hopefully, we get the official tracklist soon to see if they are any changes, and I hope that all fans who couldn’t attend will be able to buy this DVD as a memory of Eri, JunJun and LinLin’s last concert with Momusu.

The release date is set for 2/23.

Berryz Koubou’s 2011 Spring Tour Title Announced

28 12 2010

The title for Berryz Koubou’s 2011 Spring Tour has been revealed to be Berryz Koubou Kessei 7 Shuunen Kinen Concert Tour 2011 Haru ~Shuukan Berryz Times~.

When I saw the title I was a bit surprised to see that it’s so long (not as long as Mano and S/mileage’s joint concert title but still longer than usual), although it seems that the title seems like the most appropriate since it highlights their 7th anniversary as a group.

The title means something along the lines of Berryz Koubou 7th Anniversary Concert Tour 2011 Haru ~Weekly Berryz Times~, and while the “Weekly Berryz Times” part is somewhat confusing I really like the way the title sounds since it does seem like a unique title.

Hopefully many fans attend the concerts to support Berryz in their 7th anniversary as a group.

The tour starts on 3/3.

C-ute Concert Tour 2011 Spring Announced

28 12 2010

C-ute’s Concert Tour 2011 Spring (title pending) has been announced.

The information for the concert tour appeared on 2ch a while ago but it’s great that we finally get a confirmation from the H!P FC newsletter since it gives C-ute fans a chance to start planning out their schedules while looking forward to the new theme and setlist we can expect to see.

Not much info has been released since the info was released for FC members, but it’s great to notice that the schedule is a bit more full for C-ute compared to Morning Musume or Berryz Koubou who have only a few confirmed appearances.

Like always, since this is an early list of dates there will most likely be many changes including adding (or changing) any dates, so I will update with the final schedule list when it’s released, meanwhile I hope C-ute fans can start planning out their trips.
