Midori

Another unique artist (they are really aiming for out of the ordinary bands), who according to Wikipedia are a “Jazz-Punk fusion” band, which sounds interesting, hopefully we get a preview soon.

A new Berryz Koubou radio show has been announced titled “Tsuukai! Berryz Oukoku” which will start on 7/3 each Sunday at 11PM to 11:30 PM. There was some confusion about it being a radio or TV show, but a quick glance at the SKY PerfecTV channel list at Wikipedia has STAR Digio 400 as a radio show.

This radio show now gives everyone a part in a radio show: Beritsuu being made up of Shimizu, Maasa and Chinami, Momoko in Puri Puri Princess, and Tsuukai! Berryz Oukoku with Miyabi, Yurina and Risako.

C-ute’s 10th single has been announced, as of now the title is unknown. They haven’t released Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu yet and they already announced their 10th single, which is somewhat suprising.

The single can be considered a milestone to C-ute mainly because it’s their 10th single, and because H!P regularly does something special for singles in increments of ten, I hope they do something for this one (For example: Berryz Koubou 20th single – Double A-side, Morning Musume – 40th single – commemorative version with different b-side).

The release date is set for 9/16.

Ojigi de SHAPE-UP! is the sequel to the play Ojigi 30 do Degrees and it features Morning Musume members Takahashi Ai, Michishige Sayumi, Kamei Eri, and Tanaka Reina plus H!P Eggs Takeuchi Akari and Miyamoto Karin.

I haven’t personally seen it, but from the previews on Dohhh UP it looked great, and anything with the SayuKame duo is bound to be fun.

The release date for the Ojigi de SHAPE-UP! DVD is 9/2.

Preparing For Morning Musume At AX

29 06 2009

Morning Musume 8929384

AX is only a few days away and as expected most of who are attending are getting ready for it. If you are one of those who are planning on attending, here are a few helpful links that might help you:

  • LACC (Los Angeles Convention Center) Map and LACC Anime Expo Map – It’s a layout of the LACC, it makes it easier to find out where the halls are, and it also makes it less likely that you will get lost if you have a quick glance at it. The second map has a more complete and detailed look if you plan to attend other events during AX.
  • Preparation For Anime Expo 2009 (Hello!Online Thread) – An extremely useful link for those who are going to the Morning Musume concert, it has some information on the chants of some recent songs, try and practice them and remember that some songs don’t have chants and that you have to be quiet during MC’s and slow songs.
  • JapanFiles Information Thread – This thread has the information on the schedule and some more info on rules and guidelines, remember to review them carefully.
  • Full Morning Musume AX Schedule Released By JapanFiles – A post I did some time ago that has the schedule, rules, and guidelines that JapanFiles has posted, it also has some more information posted on H!O such as: information on the two giveaways JapanFiles is having, a preview of the autograph ticket, and some recommendations. It’s basically the info on the JapanFiles forum plus info posted on H!O in a post, some of you might find it very useful.

I would also like to make a recommendation:

Buy your merchandise early – There is a limit to the number of autograph tickets that will be given (300 for Morning Musume, 150 for Hangry) so buy your stuff as soon as possible.

There are another two sessions from AX but these are time limited and the autographs will end as soon as the specified time is over, regardless of line. if you have one of the 300 tickets you are guaranteed an autograph so try and get one of those tickets because they will run out fast.

Remember this is Morning Musume’s first concert in the US, try and make it a memorable one. The links and information posted here are to help fans plan out the event and make it as stress free by having everything already planned out.

Review the times of the events and have an idea of where everything is, this makes it much easier and makes you less likely to get lost.

Unfortunately not all fans can go (including me, and makes it worse is that my birthday is the same week as AX), so try and represent the rest of US fans, we want them to leave with a good impression. Remember to follow the directions of staff (JapanFiles, JpopHouse, AX or UFA).

Remember the event times and the layout of LACC and you will have no trouble finding your way, if you do get lost or have a question ask the AX or JapanFiles staff, if you want to ask a question related to Morning Musume it’s better to ask the JapanFiles staff or Morning Musume fans (there will be some who are easily distinguishable because of the forum shirts) since they are the most likely to know of the subject.

There many meet-ups planned among the forums for fans, the most known is the Hello! Party, visit the forums for information on some meeting they might be having. If you are picking up your badge do so as soon as you can (I believe it starts on Wednesday which is Day 0 for preregistered attendees). Pack everything you may need, bring cash (don’t rely only on your credit card), practice your wota chants and remember to have fun!

If you have a question you can post on the thread for AX on Hello! Online HERE, this will most likely give you the fastest response. Like always the schedule is subject to change, check the JapanFiles forum or visit their booth on Thursday or Friday for the most up to date information.

Edit: If you plan on attending the Hello! Party, HERE are some updates and information such as how to arrive and where exactly the venue for the party is (Thanks to FrozenPenguin @ H!O for posting the update)

EDIT Quick reminder (thanks to Amped-Echoz for list):

  • Badge Pick-up: West Hall B
  • Main Event Ticket Booth: West Hall Lobby
  • Opening Ceremonies: West Hall A
  • Morning Musume and Tsunku Q&A Panels : Petree Hall
  • MM Concert: West Hall A
  • Merchandise : EXHIBIT HALL Letter J – Hello Project booth, JapanFiles Booth
  • Morning Musume and Hangry Autograph sessions : Hello Project Booth

And HERE is a link to the overall map of the LACC, if you are attending remember the location of the halls to make it easier to locate something. And HERE are instructions from the AX website on how to get to AX.

EDIT: There will be NO assigned seating for the concert, so lining up early on day 0 to get tickets is POINTLESS. youll just need to line up early for the actual concert. If you still wanna get there early to get badges and tickets though, line will be allowed to form at 9AM at the top of the stairs at West Hall B. All this info comes straight from Brian who is in charge of Registration for AX. (tenkei @ JPHIP)

Not that sure on that info, but it doesn’t hurt to arrive a bit early and ask someone about it. They will not allow you to line up until 9am and they won’t start handing out badges until 3 pm. Also it was confirmed that Morning Musume will arrive in LA at 11:00 AM (they were confirmed to have boarded the plane that arrives at LAX at 11 from Japan).

Terminal: Tom Bradley Intl
Arrival Time: 11:20, Wednesday 1 July 2009
Stops: Non-Stop
Travel Time: 10hrs
Aircraft: 744

UPDATE: Morning Musume arrived today at LAX, you can check out a post I did with some videos HERE. Also here is an important update about the ticket situation:

guys this is a confirmation from ax staff, there is assigned tickets for the concert. You don’t have an assign seat, but assigned row. Front row seats are out of the question due to actual VIP seating for tsunku and such.

Mano Erina – Jasmine Tea Preview

28 06 2009

Mano Erina 92130923

A radio preview for Mano Erina’s c/w for her latest single “Sekai wa Summer Party” titled Jasmine Tea has been released. From what I listened I really like it, Mano’s voice has really improved a lot.

It’s basically a ballad but it’s somewhat upbeat, which when combined with Mano’s voice makes it sound really good.

Mano Erina’s single “Sekai wa Summer Party” is released on 7/29 in four versions: Normal, Limited A, Limited B, Limited C.

The tracklist for C-ute’s 9th single, Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu, has been released. I’m kind of suprised they didn’t include the Dance Shot ver, although they will probably include in the limited edition of the single.

Apart from that it is similar to all Single V’s: normal PV, a different version of the PV, and the Making Of.

C-ute – Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu Single V’s release date is 7/8, a week after the single release.

Melon Kinenbi x NEW ROTE’KA – Pinch wa Chance, Baka ni Narouze! Preview

27 06 2009

Melon Kinenbi 12384023

A preview for Melon Kinenbi’s second collaborations single with NEWROTE’KA titled Pinch wa Chance, Baka ni Narouze! has been released.

To be honest I didn’t like it that much, I thought it was a bit too fast, and I think that for now the best of the two collaboration singles is Don’t Say Goodbye, although this is just an opinion, they are most likely trying out different sounds to see which fits better.

If you like fast music then you will definitely like this, Melon Kinenbi sounds a bit different but it’s probably because they have to sing the lyrics fast. The video also has the Kanji lyrics, which is a great idea, although not all can understand them it is a great bonus to have. Here is the preview:

Random H!P Vol 17

27 06 2009

It’s that day again, first poll results: Kusumi Koharu (57 votes) won the MilkyWay poll, Kikkawa Yuu (29 votes) was second, followed by Kitahara Sayaka (18 votes). The results were not that suprising, considering Kusumi’s was always the center. The next poll will be of Ice Creamusume, and I am curious as to who may win, considering they are not that well known (yet), so please vote.

Profiles: The class is over next week so I will have more time to work on profiles, but for now they are still on standby. Also a quick announcement, I plan on doing a post about AX tommorrow or monday about some info, such as rules and session information, so if you are going that is something to look forward to to be better prepared.

The video this week is from Yorosen, it’s actually the second part of the Berryz Koubou Wii Fit tournament (the first part I posted two weeks ago). Like always the life of the video on Youtube will be short, and I don’t expect it to stay that much more time so please watch it fast if you want to know what happens (or download the subbed episodes at H!O).

This week it’s Momo vs Chinami with the winner going against Maasa, and like the first part the Chinami vs Momo confrontation has a clear winner and a clear loser. Some things to point out: Momo is suprisingly good at Wii Fit, Chinami has Risako’s videogaming skills (and the same score too). Enjoy the video!

Suzuki Airi – Pure Blue Solo DVD Preview

26 06 2009

Suzuki Airi 802138

A preview for Suzuki Airi’s solo DVD titled Pure Blue has been released on Dohhh-Up. Most of the preview consists of her eating, which is really cute and funny to see. The other parts of the preview consist of her riding a bike with a camera, posing at the beach and praciticing Tai Chi (not sure if it’s called that) with some locals.

I really liked the parts where she drinks from the bowl and says “Ehh?” and when she smiles at the camera while eating other stuff, she really looks cute when she is eating.

The beach scene was entertaining as well and it featured a lot of Suzuki running around and having fun (a scene where she is knocked down by a wave after jumping, around 1:54, was really funny).

The link to the preview is below, and the release date for the DVD is 7/1.
