According to a tweet from famous Japanese Pop Culture writer Takamasa Sakurai, Lin Lin and Saho Akari from Up Up Girls will form a special unit and perform in a mini-live for a Chinese girl’s Harajuku fashion show in China.

This was confirmed by the S/mileage staff account who re-tweeted the announcement:

http://twitter.com/#!/Smileagestaff/status/102029496638644224

This was a really surprising announcement since I didn’t expect to see Lin Lin perform with a UFA member again, much less with the leader of the Up Up Girls, but I’m really looking forward to seeing this performance since it seems like it will be a fun event with a unique and interesting unit.

So far there hasn’t been any other details about this special unit so it will most likely just be a temporary event to promote UFA, but I hope we get to see this mini-unit perform some more since it seems like a unique and interesting duo, although they will most likely just cover songs instead of singing a new song.

More details should be released in the next few days since the event is scheduled for the end of this month, so hopefully we get to see some pictures from Lin Lin and Saho getting ready for the event from their blogs to find out just what kind of theme they will have, but for now I am really happy to see that this unique and surprising unit was formed.

The mini live will take place on 8/27 in Harbin, China.

DVD Covers for Morning Musume’s “Morning Labo 2” and “Rival Survival DVD Solo Box” Released

30 06 2011

The DVD covers for Morning Musume’s “Morning Labo 2” and “Rival Survival DVD Solo Box Set” has been released.

The Morning Labo 2 DVD is a from a Morning Musume fan club event and I’m glad that information about this was released since many fan club event releases are rarely announced. The cover is very simple and features a group picture of Morning Musume and although it’s a very LQ preview of the cover I like how “candid” the photo looks. There’s no fancy background or group formation so it has that natural look going on.

The next DVD is from Junjun, Linlin and Eri’s graduation last year. I’m really surprised that the DVD is being released now since it’s been awhile since the three graduated, I’m sure the reason it’s coming out now though because if they had released it after they graduated it would’ve taken a lot of attention away from 9th gen and the earthquake probably pushed the release back. Regardless of that I like the cover since it matches the military theme of the concert and the pictures of the members look amazing.

The release date is currently unknown but hopefully it will be released soon.

“Morning Musume Single Clips 6 DVD” Cover Released

29 03 2011

“Morning Musume Single Clips 6 DVD” Cover has been released.

The cover looks as if they took the 45th single cover and simply added on Koharu, Linlin, Junjun and Eri at the bottom. Everyone except the 4 mentioned earlier are using the outfits from the 45th single. Eri, Junjun, Linlin and Koharu seem to be using the outfits from the last single they appeared in. (Koharu using Kimagure Princess outfit) It’s hard to tell since it is a head shot but it’d be the most logical to use since it’s the most recent picture of the member and I’m assuming since Koharu is featured on the cover Kimagure Princess is also included in the DVD.

I think it’s quite creative that they were able to incorporate the graduated members onto the DVD. They match the Maji desu ka ska theme and it looks as if they are still a part of the group.

In the bottom corner in a green cloud it features the title in pink and blue block letters. The colors are strange, they don’t really match each other and are all dominate colors but it adds to the youthful feel of the cover and it isn’t too distracting since it’s been put in the little corner.

Overall I love the cover and hopefully all fans feel the same way.

Please support Morning Musume and purchase a copy when it’s released.

The release date is set for 4/13.

Kamei, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin Graduation Concert To Be Broadcast In 3D

16 11 2010

According to Natalie.mu the Yokohama Arena graduation concert for Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin will be broadcast in 3D live on TV.

The concert will be re-broadcasted in January in 2D.

When I saw this announcement I was very excited (to say the least) since this means that fans who can’t attend the concert will be able to see it in their own home in 3D live, which is incredible news since we won’t have to wait until the DVD is released.

Many fans stated months ago that they would like to see the concert being broadcast on Ustream for everyone to enjoy, and I’m glad that UFA decided not only to broadcast the concert live, but to do so in 3D on TV since it is an amazing opportunity for everyone to join all of Momusu as three members graduate (and most likely the new members are introduced).

Apart from that fans who don’t have 3D glasses, miss the broadcast, or simply want to see it again will be able to do so next year (January 1) in 2D, which is another amazing bonus since it gives fans a chance to see the broadcast without having to have 3D glasses.

I’m glad that UFA has decided to do this since it is a unique moment in Momusu history, and since it will be available to all fans (with access to the channels) it is a great way for casual fans or curious listeners to tune in and watch the concert.

It would be great if we could get the concert released in 3D, but we will have to wait for the announcement to find out if we will get that or the usual DVD + Bluray release, but I really hope we can see the 3D concert being released in some way.

Overall this is amazing news for Momusu fans since it gives us a chance to see the concert from our own homes, and even though it can’t compare to being there in person it is the second best thing for all fans to enjoy.

Hopefully all fans spread the word and tune into the broadcast when the concert begins in December.

The concert will air live on 12/15 from 18:30 – 21:30 on SKY channel 3D 169, the 2D broadcast will be on 1/1/2011 from 21:00 – 23:30 on SKY channel HD800, HD190, and 180.

Ex-ceed! To Perform Again At The Shanghai Expo

13 10 2010

Ex-ceed will be traveling to China to perform again at the Shanghai Expo.

I’m glad to see that Ex-ceed! will perform again since it gives the many fans from Shanghai a chance to see them and hear them perform many H!P songs, and even though they will only appear 2 days it will be interesting to find out what songs they will perform during the three scheduled performances they have.

Not much information has been released but we should see reactions from the members who have blogs sometime soon (Jun Jun, Lin Lin, and Koharu), which should give us some idea about what to expect.

Hopefully many fans from the area go to the event since these performances will most likely be among the best they will have.

There will be three performances during two days:

10/27 – 18:30

10/28 – 13:30 / 18:30

Morning Days FC Bus Tour ~Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, Lin Lin Graduation Trip In Aichi~ Details Released

8 10 2010

Details about the special graduation trip that was announced a few days ago for Kamei, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin titled ~Morning Days FC Tour Tokubetsu Hen~ Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, Lin Lin Sotsugyou Ryokou IN Aichi Bus Tour have been released.

The tour will take place in Aichi exclusively for FC members only (like all other Morning Days tours), and tickets will cost around 64,800 Yen to 65,800 Yen.

I’m glad to see that more details have been released for the tour since it gives FC fans a chance to order their tickets for the event, and even though it is FC-only it will be interesting to see what the event is like for the fans who go.

Ticket prices are like always a bit expensive (they are about $648 ~ 658 US dollars) but most likely it will be worth the price to spend some time with Kamei, Jun Jun and Lin Lin as tour guides in Aichi.

Hopefully many fans go to the trip (most likely tickets will be sold out within a few weeks) and even though most of us can’t go to the event I do look forward to reading fan reports about the songs they performed and the trip.

The tour will be from 11/22 ~ 23.

Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, Lin Lin FC Event Announced

9 09 2010

An FC event for Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin has been announced.

I am somewhat surprised that they decided to have a special FC event for Kamei, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin since graduating members usually don’t get a solo event, but I am happy to see that they will since it gives fans a chance to meet up with them and wish them luck.

The event will be a handshake meeting so I highly encourage everyone who is part of the FC to go to the event since you will be able to properly say goodbye and thank you to Kame, Jun, and Lin a few months before their final performance.

Hopefully everyone who can will go to show their support and I look forward to reading fan reports from people who went.

The event will be on the following date:

  • 10/31 – Akasaka BLITZ (Tokyo)

Jun Jun And Lin Lin Will Be Special Guests At A Karaoke Contest Event

4 09 2010

Jun Jun and Lin Lin will be special guests at a karaoke contest event.

I’m glad to see that Jun Jun and Lin Lin will attend since it means more promotion for them and the group when their single is released, and even though the event won’t be that big (from what I can tell) every small bit helps.

From what I can see it seems that there will be singing in Japanese and Chinese from the contestants so it was expected that they would choose Jun Jun and Lin Lin since they are fluent in both languages.

Most likely they will only present the contestants or maybe even sing a bit but despite that I do look forward to finding out what they did and how the event went since it does sound like an interesting karaoke event.

The event will be on 11/24.
