Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin Graduation Bus Tour Announced

3 10 2010

Announcement of Bus Tour by Momusu’s manager

A special graduation bus tour event has been announced for Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin. The news was revealed through the Twitter account from Momusu’s manager.

Dates for the bus tour

I’m extremely glad to see that UFA is planning as many special events as possible before their graduation since it gives Kamei, Jun Jun and Lin Lin a chance to interact with their fans and to enjoy a trip as well as a small concert.

Not many details are known about the event since it was just revealed on Twitter (on many Tweets) but according to another Tweet more info will be revealed on 10/8, so hopefully by then we find out where the tour will be and how much tickets will cost.

More info will be revealed on the web on 10/8

Hopefully all fans who can attend the tour do so since it will be without a doubt one of the best tours for Kamei, Jun and Lin fans.

The tour will be from 11/22 ~ 23.

Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, Lin Lin FC Event Announced

9 09 2010

An FC event for Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin has been announced.

I am somewhat surprised that they decided to have a special FC event for Kamei, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin since graduating members usually don’t get a solo event, but I am happy to see that they will since it gives fans a chance to meet up with them and wish them luck.

The event will be a handshake meeting so I highly encourage everyone who is part of the FC to go to the event since you will be able to properly say goodbye and thank you to Kame, Jun, and Lin a few months before their final performance.

Hopefully everyone who can will go to show their support and I look forward to reading fan reports from people who went.

The event will be on the following date:

  • 10/31 – Akasaka BLITZ (Tokyo)

Jun Jun And Lin Lin Will Be Special Guests At A Karaoke Contest Event

4 09 2010

Jun Jun and Lin Lin will be special guests at a karaoke contest event.

I’m glad to see that Jun Jun and Lin Lin will attend since it means more promotion for them and the group when their single is released, and even though the event won’t be that big (from what I can tell) every small bit helps.

From what I can see it seems that there will be singing in Japanese and Chinese from the contestants so it was expected that they would choose Jun Jun and Lin Lin since they are fluent in both languages.

Most likely they will only present the contestants or maybe even sing a bit but despite that I do look forward to finding out what they did and how the event went since it does sound like an interesting karaoke event.

The event will be on 11/24.

Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin To Graduate From Morning Musume and Hello! Project

8 08 2010

According to a recent entry on Tsunku’s blog Kamei Eri, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin will graduate from Morning Musume and Hello! Project.

Kamei Eri will graduate due to a skin condition problem which she has had for some time and after talking with doctors she has decided to graduate from Morning Musume and Hello! Project to take care of it. Jun Jun and Lin Lin will go into preparatory periods after their graduations to continue their singing and talent careers in China.

To say that I am surprised is an understatement since I didn’t expect to have to worry about graduations until the start of the next tour, but it seems that Tsunku wanted to announce them as soon as possible so that fans could prepare.

Kamei’s reason for graduating is understandable since she wants to take care of her skin condition (according to some fans she has Atopic Dermatitis), and even though it is sad to see her go from Momusu I am glad to see that she is taking her health as a priority.

Jun Jun and Lin Lin on the other hand don’t really have a clear reason for graduating but it seems that Tsunku decided that they will benefit more if they graduated from Momusu and concentrate in singing careers in China, and since he obviously has plans for them already it is somewhat of a consolation to see that they will continue to be active.

I am still shocked at the news since it was somewhat too sudden, but hopefully in the coming days we get more information about the details.

They will graduate at the end of Morning Musume’s Rival Survival concert tour.

I will update with more as soon as I find out.

Tsunku’s Post About Kamei, Jun Jun and Lin Lin Graduating

EDIT: The media has already released more information about the announcement of the graduation of Kamei, Jun Jun and Lin Lin as well as heartbreaking pictures of all the members in tears:

A translation of the official statement that Tsunku made in his blog has also been released:

Big announcement from the Morning Musume。

About the graduation of Eri Kamei, 6th generation member

Eri Kamei came to me several times regarding her health condition. One time, she said to me : “I would like to find the time to cure the atopic dermatitis that I’m suffering from”. Since the time she joined the Morning Musume。, it looks like she was dealing with symptoms like itching and slight skin color changes. She took medication to calm the symptoms down and she also used make-up to cover it but during live concerts, there is a lot of sweat and many outfits to put on, which made her recovery very difficult.

Some may say it is “just a skin problem” but according to doctors, an external problem like skin problem may move to an internal level. It may as well have an impact on her spirit, her mental level. Also, for her, it is a serious thing so she decided to focus on her recovery instead of letting it continue. Eri Kamei will graduate from the Morning Musume。 and the Hello! Project on the last day of the Morning Musume。Autumn 2010 concert tour. As for her activities after that, I intend to discuss with her after her full recovery.

About the graduation of Jun Jun and Lin Lin, 8th generation members (foreign students)

In May 2005, both of them joined the Morning Musume。as foreign students and today, while being skilled singers and entertainers, they also greatly improved their japanese proficiency and they are now grown-up women. This is why I took the decision to graduate both of them at the same time as Eri Kamei on the last day of the Morning Musume。Autumn 2010 concert tour. After graduation, they will enter a period of preparation before focusing on their singers and entertainer career in China.

EDIT 2: Official statements by the girls have been released on Morning Musume’s Myspace blog:

Eri Kamei

As Tsunku♂ said, I will graduate on the last day of the Autumn 2010 Tour from the Morning Musume。 to focus on my health. It is my decision but let me reassure you, my condition is not that serious. I just wanted to focus on my recovery for a while because lately, I was thinking a lot about how I could become a pretty woman. I took this decision with that in mind.

But I really love to do concerts so today and until the Autumn Tour, I am counting on you to sing, dance and have fun with me.

Thank you for your continued support.

Jun Jun

Since I came to Japan, I did and I learned so many things. Thank you so much.

But what really made me happy was to meet all of you, I am so thankful for this.

With this emotion in my heart, I want to make more and more happy memories with you. Until my graduation at the end of Morning Musume。 Autumn Tour, I intend to sing with all my heart.

Thank you for your support until the very last day. Thank you all.

Lin Lin

Since I first joined the Hello! Project Egg and then the Morning Musume。, I was so happy every single day. Of course, I sometimes missed my home but thanks to everyone around me and all of your support, I now feel that Japan and the Hello! Project is like my home.

During the Autumn Tour, I intend to sing with everything I got so I count on your support and I hope to see you there.

Wo Ai Ni.

Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Miyabi, and Koharu Shanghai Unit Called “Ex-Ceed!”

22 06 2010

The name for Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Natsuyaki Miyabi, and Kusumi Koharu’s unit has been revealed to be Ex-Ceed!. An explanation of the name was revealed as well from the person who submitted it (translated by turbos86):

Exceed means to go beyond. Ex, stands for Expo. The Shanghai world expo is to exceed the boundary of race and country. Ceed, also sounds like “seed”. With their sweet voices and happy dances, I hope the four girls can give joy to everyone in China and the rest of the world with their happy “seed”. And from that seed, grow into a strong tree. “!” represents the ! in Hello! Project. Also, Ex-ceed! sounds cool.

I have to admit that the name of their unit might take some time to get used to but it is somewhat original and it does sound cool. I’m glad that they at least added a reference to H!P, even though it is only a “!” but I’m glad that the description of the unit name is complete and thorough (“happy seed” sounds a bit strange to me for some reason).

Overall Ex-Ceed! is a great way to include the Expo and H!P and even though the name might take a bit too get used to it does sound very interesting and cool so hopefully the girls from the unit like it and they have a great time performing.

EDIT: A fanvideo of Ex-Ceed! performing “Jasmine Flower” was released:

Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Miyabi and Koharu Arrive in Shanghai

21 06 2010

After flying in an airplane for 3 hours Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Natsuyaki Miyabi and Kusumi Koharu have arrived safely in Shanghai today for their two day performance as a special unit.

According to Lin Lin’s blog entry they had an interview and they also went to eat some dumplings together as a group:

Since it is about 4 am right now in Shanghai we will have to wait 12 hours more until their first performance where their unit name will be revealed (according to what Natalie.mu says) so hopefully that is the case.

But meanwhile I’m glad to hear that everyone arrived safely and that they are all ready for their performance, and despite not knowing what kind of songs they will perform I do hope we get a preview soon so we can find out.

Good luck Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Miyabi and Koharu with your performance!

They will perform in Shanghai from 6/22 to 6/23.

Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Miyabi and Koharu To Perform In Shanghai

16 05 2010

Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Miyabi and former Morning Musume member Koharu will perform in Shanghai during June as a special 4-nin unit.

Miyabi was personally chosen by Jun Jun and Lin Lin, and the three of them choose Koharu to be the fourth member. Their unit name hasn’t been revealed yet.

Screenshot of the announcement via “Music Story in Japan”

When I saw the news about this special unit I was really excited since not only are we going to see Jun Jun and Lin Lin shine, but we are also going to see them sing along with Koharu and Miyabi which will be an incredible treat for Koha fans as well as Miya fans since it’s not always that we get a chance to hear them sing together (I will of course be supporting them all but Lin Lin will be my favorite from the unit).

The video on Music Story in Japan shows how Jun Jun and Lin Lin choose the other members of their unit and it seems that they went over it very carefully since they had some photos from all of the H!P members as well as a ~Mobekimasu~ visual book, and in the end they decided to choose Miyabi which was a great choice since she is very talented.

After choosing Miyabi they choose Koharu as the fourth member, and they meet up with her in a room nearby (what a coincidence) where they tell her about the unit and discuss the unit name where Jun Jun says MBK (Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, Kusumi Koharu) while Koharu says KBM (Kusumi Koharu, Berryz Koubou, Morning Musume).

In the end the unit name wasn’t decided but we did get a chance to see the new unit together, and while it will most likely be a temporary unit only (during those two days, unless UFA decides to keep it for a while) it will definitely be a great way to hear all of them singing together while representing H!P in Shanghai.

Hopefully we find out the name of the unit soon as well as any more news about them (I hope we get to see a new song, although we will probably only see them perform already released H!P songs).

They will perform in Shanghai in 6/22 – 23.

ICS Music Story In Japan Video About The Special Unit (Skip to 5:30)

Edit: For those of you who were curious as to why Miyabi and Koharu were chosen here are the reasons from the video thanks to Amped-Echoz:

They chose Miyabi because Junjun and Linlin saw in a magazine that she wanted to go to China. They chose Koharu because the way she talks in chinese is very funny.

Also you can now suggest names for the unit via the Music Story in Japan site. So if you have a clever name that you feel would be great for the unit then suggest it by filling out the form at the site.

Here is a basic translation of what is on the form:

The stars signify that it is one of the selections from the drop-down list

I am not sure if the description has to be in Chinese or Japanese but if you are going to write in English try and explain it in as few words as possible and as basic as you can, for example (ignore the lame name):

MoBeKu

ーニング娘。 (Morning Musume)
Berryz工房 (Berryz Koubou)
住小春 (Kusumi Koharu)
