Takahashi Ai – “AiAiAi” PB Cover Released

8 09 2011

The PB cover for Takahashi Ai’s 13th solo PB titled AiAiAi has been released.

At first glance, I have to say that I was just overwhelmed by Ai-chan’s beauty since the simplicity and elegance of the cover is incredible thanks to Ai-chan’s calm expression, soft make-up and elegant pose against a simple white background.

Even though I’m usually not a big fan of bikini cover PBs, I have to say that this cover is simply amazing even though it’s the case since we get to see a perfect harmony of Ai-chan’s skin alongside the background with no disturbing clothe or piece of fabric which seems like a very smart move to show off her natural beauty that is complimented by a neutral make-up and soft earrings.

The title is also doing a great job of adding to the elegance of the cover with being written in small characters and in a free white space on the top right of the cover, and the combination of the black letters for the title as well as the nice yellow tone for Ai’s name make a nice colorful addition to the sobre concept.

Overall, I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite Ai-chan PB covers ever thanks to the simplicity and elegance of the image used and the title art, and I find it an amazing farewell release with a great cover.

Hopefully everyone who didn’t do so yet can reserve a copy to provide themselves with an amazing copy of what is set to be a memorable release.

The release date is set for 9/14.

Hello! Project 2012 Calendar Covers Released

6 09 2011

The covers for Morning Musume, Takahashi Ai, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Mano Erina, and S/mileage’s 2012 calendars have been released.

Each year there are always calendars for the main groups in H!P for the next year, like for most artists/groups, although this year we have had many lineup changes for two groups so as a result the lineups are really different, the most obvious of them being the Momusu calendar cover which notably only features 8 members, as a result of Ai-chan having her own solo calendar.

There will most likely be many who are disappointed (for Ai-chan not being in the cover or Riho being in front) but I am still impressed with how it looks since everyone came out amazingly well: from Riho’s smiling face to Sayu and Mizuki’s cute expressions I really liked how everyone turned out, especially Kanon who seems to be the only one who didn’t simply smile but also threw in a peace sign as well.

The white painted wood fence fits in with the casual outfits everyone is wearing and while I would have liked to see Eripon with short hair and the title a bit bigger and not in cursive, it’s still an amazing cover and well worth a look for anyone.

Ai-chan got her own calendar this year, and it’s not surprising since the calendars will be released on the day she graduates, technically making her a solo performer/artist, so it’s nice to see that she didn’t just get pushed aside and was instead given a really great way for fans to remember her, and while I would have preferred a picture of Ai-chan smiling I have to admit that the picture of her looking at the camera in front of a white background is enough to make me want to get a copy.

Berryz Koubou’s cover is colorful, modern, and basically among the standouts for the H!P calendar releases since it’s a nice and cool way of showing all of the members off, and with each member smiling widely while wearing an outfit with their member color as well as a background with their member color it really looks impressive.

C-ute’s cover is a bit similar to Momusu’s since it’s a group picture in front of a wooden fence (with a plant in the corner to complete the theme), and while it’s a bit less casual due to the uniform styled outfits I was impressed with it since everyone is easy to see and with their own hairstyles they all have a nice way of standing out from the rest.

Mano’s cover can be summed up with two words: perfection or angelic and it’s easy to see why since it stands out from the rest due to the amazing light effect they added, which gives Mano’s already cute picture an almost heavenly look, but while the picture looks perfect there is a small but very noticeable mistake: the bottom says that the calendar is for 2011.

It’s a small mistake that really stands out since everything else apart from that is simply a masterpiece, and while I’m biased as a Mano fan I am still concerned that it might affect sales in one way or another since many might think that it’s last years calendar but hopefully staff caught the mistake and fixed it since everything apart from that is perfect.

S/mileage has gone through quite a lot in the past few months, with 5 new sub-members joining the group and one member leaving, and since calendar pictures are usually taken months in advance (as evidenced by Eripon’s long hair) it’s not surprising to see that the cover for the calendar has not been released since they are probably still working on it, and while it’s still not available I hope we get to see every member, sub or full, clearly since it’s a great opportunity for everyone to show off their cute poses.

Overall the covers are as always impressive, and while there might be a few mistakes here and there (Mano) I still loved how all of the covers looked since each group/member has a unique style that fits in with their group theme, and while many (including me) wish they could have them all I will probably get Mano and Momusu’s calendars since they are the ones that stand out the most to me.

Hopefully everyone has their favorite already picked out from the cover alone, but if not I encourage you to check a few previews of the calendars once they are released since they are a pretty nice addition to any H!P fan’s house, and with large pictures for every month with your favorite group/member it really is a must have for anyone who can get one.

The release date is set for 9/30.

Takahashi Ai – “Love Love Love” DVD Cover Released

26 08 2011

The cover for Takahashi Ai’s 6th solo DVD titled Love Love Love has been released.

For the most part DVD covers are usually somewhat more casual with the member wearing a dress or a normal outfit, but Ai-chan releases have always had a slightly more mature tone so it’s no surprise to see the outfit she is wearing on the cover is shorter than most outfits, and while it might not be a casual cover I have to admit that I really loved how Ai-chan looks since the outfit blends a sexy look with a casual outfit someone would wear at home.

The word art, on the other hand, is not as impressive at all since it’s just a red, blue, and yellow colored “Love” overlapping, and for the most part I wish they could have done better since it doesn’t really stand out that much, but I doubt that will be a problem since the main focus is obviously Ai-chan and she does a pretty good job of catching everyone’s attention immediately.

The setting for the cover seems to be a staircase in a wooden home, so it’s safe to say that there will be plenty of interesting shots in both the PB and DVD that will have that area, and while we don’t have previews of the DVD or PB yet I am already interested in finding out just how the PB cover will look since the DVD cover looks amazing.

Hopefully everyone has their copy reserved since this will most likely be the most memorable solo DVD that Ai-chan has released to date.

The release date is set for 9/21.

Hello! Channel vol.6 Titled “Hello Channel vol.6 ~Morning Musume Takahashi Ai Sotsugyou Special~”

19 08 2011

The full title for Hello! Channel’s sixth release has been revealed to be Hello Channel vol.6 ~Morning Musume Takahashi Ai Sotsugyou Special~.

Since this will be Ai-chan’s last appearance in the mook it’s not that surprising to see that she is the main theme since almost every other release for Hello! Project has some kind of mention of her name in honor of her, and while it might not be that creative to name every release “Takahashi Ai Graduation Special” it’s still a great way for everyone to remember the large impact she has had in Hello! Project with this title.

Apart from the title there isn’t much else to update about since most of the activities that I mentioned last time will be included, along with a mention of the new S/mileage “sub” members and the regular activities, although I expect to see a slight focus on Ai-chan throughout the entire release.

Hopefully everyone can reserve their copy since this will most likely be the most important Hello! Channel release yet.

The release date is set for 9/23.

Takahashi Ai – “Jishin Motte, Yume Motte, Tobidatsu Kara” Radio Preview Released

18 08 2011

A full radio preview for Takahashi Ai’s solo song that will be the B-side of the Regular Special Edition of their 47th single titled Jishin Motte, Yume Motte, Tobidatsu Kara.

When I heard the song, It was actually the first time that I feel that nothing is missing in the rythm or so since the song just fluently went by minute by minute and I was enjoying every single second of it thanks to the very special instrumental and Ai-chan’s lovely voice.

The song is really nothing like I expected it to be since most of us though it would be a ballad because of the title meaning something along the lines of I take off while being confident and having dreams, but I’m pleasantly happy to hear an upbeat sound through the beginning, end and chorus of the song with an equally energetic sound in the verses, and the different additions in the lyrics such as the english words (that I can’t figure out yet) and the full title being said by Ai really make it even more special.

The instrumental isn’t that special but weirdly enough, I find it to be more attractive than some of the very complicated instrumental some songs have, and I’m pretty amazed by how well this song seems to fit Ai-chan’s voice and by the amazing arrangement made for an overall very positive and happy feeling while listening to it.

It’s really hard to describe this song since all that I was feeling was happiness and joy while listening to it for a weird and unexplained reason, so hopefully everyone can give it a listen and enjoy this amazing song!

Overall, I’m impressed by how awesome such a simple song with soft lyrics and an upbeat instrumental sounds, so hopefully we can get a preview of the PV for this song soon.

Hopefully everyone can reserve a copy of this special Regular Edition to support Ai-chan for this memorable single coupling with a memorable solo song of hers and just enjoy it’s greateness.

The release date is set for 9/14.

Takahashi Ai’s 6th Solo DVD Titled “Love Love Love”

17 08 2011

The title for Takahashi Ai’s 6th solo DVD has been revealed to be Love Love Love.

PBs and DVDs usually have similar titles that relate in some way, and it’s interesting to see that they decided to name the DVD release for Ai-chan’s Ai Ai Ai PB as Love Love Love since it seems like a very simple but cute title that does its job of relating the two releases by having the same title in Japanese and English.

The title isn’t as memorable as the PB since it had a slight pun (as Leigh and Ney pointed out in the comments for that post the title could mean “I Love Ai”) but it’s short and to the point and makes it easy to remember, and since this will be her last release as a Momusu member it’s nice to see that they decided to change the theme a bit by having titles that basically mirror each other.

No covers for the DVD or PB have been released but it’s already mid-August so it’s just a matter of time until we do since the release is coming up, and while there haven’t been any previews so far I am really looking forward to finding out what kind of themes and outfits we can expect to see.

Hopefully everyone already has their copy reserved since this will be a must have for any Ai-chan fan.

The release date is set for 9/21.

Takahashi Ai’s 13th PB Titled “Ai Ai Ai”

12 08 2011

The title for Takahashi Ai’s 13th PB has been revealed to be Ai Ai Ai.

It was almost guaranteed that the word Ai would be in the title when the PB was announced but I would have never guessed that it would be the only word in the title, and while it might be a bit too simple I have to admit that it has a cute sound to it that relates to Ai-chan’s name as well as the word “love”.

The title is really easy to remember since it’s basically just her name three times, but from what I can tell the meaning of the title is “Love Love Love” although it could also include Ai-chan and mean “Love Love Ai”, either way the title is full of references to her and apart from sounding really cute it’s a perfect title for her last PB release as a Momusu member.

Hopefully everyone can reserve their copy since this PB will most likely be the best Ai-chan has released.

The release date is set for 9/14.

Hello! Project 2012 Calendars Announced

10 08 2011

This year’s 2012 Hello! Project calendars have finally been announced.

The groups/artists releasing calendars this year are: Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Mano Erina, S/mileage and Takahashi Ai.

The long-awaited calnedars for 2012 have finally been announced, and it’s not a surprise to see all of H!P’s groups and artists participate and have their own calendar just like every year, but the nice point for this year that will please every single Ai-chan fan is the fact that Momusu’s soon to graduate leader will have her own solo calendar for everyone to enjoy.

Even though I usually don’t pay much attention to calendars apart from the photos that are included in them, I think that this is yet another amazing release that H!P does every year since many fans anxiously wait for this, and having a calendar from their favorite groups/artists is really nice since you get to follow them all-year long, each month featuring an amazing picture.

Overall, I’m really happy to see that they have finally been announced since it’s a great opportunity for everyone to start reserving their copies, and I’m glad to see that Ai-chan will be getting her own since many fans will like to remember her though the year even if she’s not in Momusu anymore.

The calendars are set to be released in late September.

“Dance of Vampire” Featuring Takahashi Ai’s Official Site Opened

29 07 2011

An official site for the musical starring Takahashi Ai titled Dance of Vampire has been opened.

The site features the main informations to know about the musical, such as the actor’s names and the character they are playing (in Ai-chan’s case, she plays the role of Sara), a full schedule for the months of November and December, a short paragraph that resumes the story as well as a map to find your way to the theater and reference phone numbers and e-mails,etc…

The site really caught my attention since we finally get to see Ai-chan as her caracter Sara, wearing what seems to be like everyone else’s uniform of a white dress with a red chale, and I have to say that I’m pretty impressed seeing her like this since this sets us in the beginning of her career after Momusu.

Her role is one of the main roles as stated before, and she is set to perform almost all of the time judging by the schedule on the page, so hopefully everyone in Japan in November or December can attend a performance one of the nights to catch Ai-chan and enjoy this musical that seems really impressive.

The musical will take place from 11/27 until 12/24.

Takahashi Ai Last Solo DVD And PB Announced

26 07 2011

Takahashi Ai’s 6th DVD, 13th PB and lasts, both currently untitled, have been announced.

I really expected the 12th album as well as the Alo! Hello 5 since it seems that UFA wants to take advantage of Ai-chan’s last days within Morning Musume but I really didn’t see the DVD and PB announcement coming since it seems that the time is really short with all of the releases Momusu have to handle now and until September, but I’m not complaining since all Ai-chan fans deserve a last solo release from hers to enjoy.

Not many details are out except from the fact that the DVD and PB were shot in Los Angeles, but the nice mention is the Blu-ray announcement that will be released almost a month later since this allows fans who want to directly buy the Blu-ray to be certain of it’s release and they can pre-order it from now.

I really expect something amazing from this last release from Ai-chan since all of her PBs (specially her latest one) was filled with amazing pictures and original shots of her in various outfits and places, and since it’s her last releases, we might get a self-made bonus such as a message for fans or something similar.

Hopefully all of Ai-chan fans can look forward to this release and pre-order a copy as soon as possible!

The release date for the DVD is set for 9/21.

The release date for the Blu-ray is set for 10/13.

The PB’s release date is somewhere in September.
