31 03 2011

The DVD and Blu-ray for Buono’s Live 2011 Winter Re;Buono! concert tour have been announced.

I’m glad to see that the DVD and Blu-ray have already been announced since Buono concerts are always among the most energetic from H!P due to their great amount of songs and the energy each member has, and while we haven’t seen a confirmed tracklist for the DVD we will most likely see these songs from the original setlist appear:

I’m also happy to see that the Blu-ray has been announced for release on the same day as the DVD since fans of the better quality of Blu-ray can buy it the same day without having to wait a few months until it was announced.

Overall I am happy that the DVD and Blu-ray for this great concert have already been announced since Buono fans can buy it alongside their recently announced single, which will be released just a few days before this (about a week before), and since it is a Buono concert we can look forward to an energetic release that all fans will enjoy.

Hopefully Buono fans reserve their copy of this DVD and their new single.

The release date is set for 6/22.

Hello! Project 2011 WINTER ~Kangei Shinsen Matsuri~ Bikkuri Live DVD Cover Released

31 03 2011

The cover for Hello! Project’s 2011 WINTER ~Kangei Shinsen Matsuri~ Bikkuri Live DVD has been released.

I’m glad to see that this cover isn’t as crowded as the other cover for the A-gana Live since we get to see group pictures for each group on the top with solo pictures for Wada, Mitsui, Nakky, Yuuka, Chii, Mano, Gaki, Chisa, Risako, Momo and Reina on the bottom.

Along with the group pictures and the solo shots we also get to see a very colorful background that seems a bit distracting and make the title a bit hard to read, but I really like the way it looks since it makes the cover stand out from among other releases.

Apart from the pictures and background there isn’t that much else to say about the cover, but overall I love the way it looks since the title, group shots, and solo shots are all great additions to the cover since they show off the great amount of content fans can look forward to.

Hopefully fans can reserve their copy of the DVD since the cover is amazing.

The release date is set for 4/27.

Morning Musume’s 46th Single “Only You” Release Date Pushed Back

31 03 2011

Morning Musume’s 46th single titled Only You has been pushed back.

  • Morning Musume Only You – 5/18 → 6/15

Since their 45th single was pushed back it was somewhat expected that their 46th single would also be since they have to push back any promotions that they have planned (hopefully they already have some) as well as giving UFA a chance to move the schedule they had planned a few weeks back.

Since Maji Desu ka Ska! hasn’t been released it doesn’t seem like that bad news since it will still be released in two months, which should be enough time for us to see if promotion has worked for the 9th generation and if fans like the new genki sound of the single.

Hopefully fans look forward to the single, even though we have to wait another month until it is released.

The release date for the single has been set for 6/15 and the Single V is set for 6/29.

S/mileage – “Koi ni Booing Buu!” PV Preview Released

31 03 2011

A PV preview for S/mileage’s 5th single titled Koi ni Booing Buu! has been released.

S/mileage has been going for a cuter more upbeat sound with this single and it seems that the PV has the same theme since it is full of many animations, most notably the pig on the covers, as well as many cute additions such as the various signs that appear during the 30 seconds we saw.

There is a lot of content in the PV which is great since fans can enjoy a full preview and while it might be a bit too full with signs and other animations I did enjoy the way all of the members looked in the preview since they all seemed to be having a lot of fun while they sang and danced.

The dance shot (or the little amount we saw) features a cute and colorful set where the members dance in the pink outfits decorated with images of the pig, and while we didn’t get to see the dance shot that well I did like the way that it looks since the colors mix well with the song’s theme.

I didn’t think I would ever say it but the PV seems to have too many shots since every second there is a different scene or animation, which can be a bit overwhelming since apart from the dance shots and solo close-up shots we see a dozen more shots consisting of each member posing with a sign, an animation with the pig, a group shot of them with the pig noses, among many others.

Apart from the massive amount of shots in the short 30 second preview I really enjoyed how the random and cute shots all matched up with the song since the pig noses each member wore in the covers appear alongside the cartoon pig, and while we have only seen 30 seconds I really enjoyed the preview.

Overall the PV preview is fun, cute, and it has a lot of shots, and even though it may be a bit too overwhelming at times I really enjoyed the way it looks so far since the song matches the upbeat and cute theme of the song.

Hopefully we get to see the full preview in a few weeks.

The release date is set for 4/27.

Suzuki Airi 4th Solo DVD Announced

31 03 2011

Suzuki Airi’s 4th solo DVD, currently untitled, has been announced.

The blu-ray for this release will also be released during July.

Since she has two PBs which will be released in a few months it was somewhat expected that a solo DVD was being planned, and I’m glad to see that it has been confirmed since it gives Airi fans a chance to add the DVD to their wish lists.

The title or any other details haven’t been released, but I am happy that the blu-ray has also been announced for the same day since fans who enjoy better quality won’t have to wait a few more months until it is announced and will be able to buy the blu-ray on the same day the DVD is released.

Hopefully we get to see some previews of the DVD being released soon.

The release date is set for 7/13.

Murata Megumi Officially Leaves Up Front Agency

31 03 2011

Murata Megumi has officially left Up Front Agency.

She posted on her blog a short message saying goodbye to show business and Up Front Agency as well as posting a goodbye message to her fans for 11 years of support.

It’s always sad to see members that have been in H!P and UFA for so long leave but this is a decision that Murata personally took, so even though she will be leaving show business and will live a normal life I wish her the best of luck with her future.

The post on her blog is really short but it does give fans a chance to read a bit more about how much she appreciates her fan’s support during the years she was part of UFA, and even though I wasn’t a fan of Melon Kinenbi I am sad to see one of the members who made H!P what it is today leave show business.

Good luck Murata Megumi!

Tracklist Romanized by Starra @ JPM

It seems that the first disc’s tracklist added three new songs: Atto Odoroku Mirai ga Yattekuru!, Koibito no You ni Kao wo Shite…, and Afternoon Coffee which are all interesting additions since we have two new songs as well as a promotion release for the group Afternoon Musume, and while we have yet to hear one song I did like the way the album tracklist looks.

As for the song I was a bit surprised to see that the vocals were a bit more deeper than the original song and while it was definitely an interesting cover I would have liked to hear them sing a bit more upbeat since the beat doesn’t seem to match well with the way that most of them sing.

Nonetheless it is a great way to hear former Morning Musume members sing a song that was released a few years after most of them had graduated (if I remember correctly Yossie, Ogawa, Miki, and Koha were in this single), and while I wasn’t that impressed with the new vocals I did enjoy hearing Yaguchi, Abe, and other former members singing since they all did a pretty good job.

Hopefully fans can check out the preview and reserve their copy of the album since it looks like a must have for fans of older Morning Musume members.

The release date is set for 4/20.

Matsuura Aya’s “Futari Osaka” Will Be The Theme For “Sakura to Satsuki”

31 03 2011

Matsuura Aya will perform the title song for her movie Sakura to Satsuki which will be titled Futari Osaka.

The song is a ballad (like most of her previous releases) which is somewhat disappointing since most of the song seems to be the same, but I did like the way it sounded since we got a chance to check out her great voice as well as a somewhat catchy beat.

The preview features scenes from her movie as well, which is a great way to check out the movie while enjoying the song, and even though there are only a few scenes we also get a chance to check out the Making of for the movie which should give fans a chance to see how she acts during the short scenes we saw.

Hopefully fans can check out the song and the preview below since it gives us a great look at her upcoming movie, and while the song isn’t that memorable I am glad to see that she gets a chance to sing another song.

The song will only be available through iTunes.

S/mileage’s Regular Show Titled “SMILE FACTORY” Announced

31 03 2011

S/mileage’s new regular show titled SMILE FACTORY has been announced.

The show will air every 4th Tuesday of each month at 21:00 ~ 21:30 PM (JST) on SPACE SHOWER TV from.

S/mileage have already had a regular webcast through Ustream so I’m glad to see that they will have their own regular show on a bigger network since fans will be able to check out their monthly show while they promote their releases and future appearances.

Since the show will only air once a month it doesn’t really give them that much of a chance to promote that well, but thankfully they will be able to promote their upcoming single a few days before it is released.

So far we don’t have a clear theme about what they will do during the 30 minutes they will have, but I look forward to finding out.

Hopefully fans can check out the show when it airs.

The show will start on 4/26.

Kikkawa Yuu will appear as a talk and performance guest on the show Happy Music to promote her debut single titled Kikkake wa YOU!

I’m glad to see that promotion for Kikka’s debut is going well since Happy Music seems like a great show where she can perform and since she will also be talking with the host it is a great way for her to show off her great personality and let viewers get to know her.

The show will air in about a week so hopefully fans who regularly watch the show get a chance to check out her appearance.
