UFZS To Perform On “Made in BS JAPAN”

3 08 2011

UFZS are set to appear and perform live on the show Made in BS JAPAN.

To clear things up for the fans, UFZS is the unit formed from the graduated H!P Eggs group “Up-Up Girls”, set to participate in the Superstar K3 competition of K-pop dance covers. It has been quite a long time since the last round of the competition was held but the winners haven’t been announced yet unfortunately.

This appearance will be the first for UFZS on a TV show which is really exciting for the girls since they are going to perform as UFZS and not Up-Up Girls, which should give them enough promotion under both names since the members are practically the same, and I’m happy to see that they will also be performing their latest dance cover that they have been working on since this news seems like they are officially preparing for them to debut.

Even though I’m not certain if the show is popular or not, it’s always a great opportunity for them to show off their talent and to see if they can handle the stress of live streaming, and it will be interesting to see how they will interact with the audience and with the hosts, so hopefully this appearance and performance will give them the chance to promote themselves and to proove what they’re capable of.

Hopefully this will be a successful first TV appearance for them since they really deserve the attention.

The show will air live on 8/5 at 18:00 JST.

Official Lehua Nahina Twitter Opened

26 04 2011

Lehua Nahina, better known as Lehua Sandbo, has opened a Twitter account.

The account was opened quite some time ago, but it has only recently been found after she tweeted Mika (who also opened an account recently) and while it has been quite a lot of time since we last heard from her (when she won the beauty pageant back in 2008) I am happy to see that fans can send their messages of support.

Like Mika she has been responding to fan messages personally, which is a great thing since fans can get a response and even though she was only in H!P a few years she will most likely have quite a few fans sending messages of support now that her Twitter account has been found.

Hopefully fans can check out her Twitter and follow her.

Official Mika Todd Twitter Opened

25 04 2011

Mika Todd has opened a Twitter account.

I’m surprised to see that Mika opened an account until now, but I am very happy as well since it gives fans a chance to send support messages and get a response while finding out what she has been doing lately.

So far most of her tweets have been to friends and family, but she has been responding to fan’s messages personally which is great since fans can get a response to their messages and since it has been quite some time since we last heard from her it is a great opportunity for fans to show their support.

It seems that Mika has been doing a few performances from time to time but hopefully we get to see even more from her from now on.

Ex-Country Musume Member Miuna Is Now A Columnist

14 04 2011

Ex-Country Musume member Miuna is now a columnist for the site All About.

Working under her full name Saito Miuna, All About is where she will talk about love and relationships. Previously she worked as a message therapist at Tokyo Hilton and at a salon.

Being a columnist is quite different from being a message therapist but if writing is her passion then I hope she’s happy as a columnist. This also gives fans a chance to start following her again, even though she’s not releasing music or anything similar to her idol life reading her posts is similar in a way to releasing singles.

Currently the All About site has her biography up and 4 articles that she’s written.

Up-Front Girls To Hold A FC Event

8 04 2011

A FC Event has been scheduled for Up-Front Girls at the Tokyo FM Hall.

When I first heard the news, I was quite intreegued since it’s the first kind of event for the girls and it wasn’t mentionned if it’s about UFZS or all of the Up-Front Girls which include Sengoku Minami as the host of the show, so it was quite confusing since we don’t exactly know what kind of things they will be doing.

This is the first FC event for the girls which is always amazing news to hear since this means they are getting promotion and this presumes that they already have a decent amount of fans in their FC for such an event to take place.

As I said before, I’m interested in knowing more about this since I’m unsure if Minami will be participating or not, and it will be very fun to see what they’ll get to do (showing the dances, introducing the show…).

The event will take place on 5/1 and 5/3 for a total of 4 appearances at the Tokyo FM Hall.

Up Front Agency Will Hold A Charity Event

6 04 2011

Up Front recently announced that it will hold a charity event titled Ganbarou Nippon Ai wa Katsu in order to gather funds to donate to the Red Cross to help victims and those affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Sendai.

According to the article 98 members of Up Front and other affiliated companies will support the project, with many of them participating in a fundraising event in three locations: Yamashita Park, Motomachi Shopping Street, and Yokohama Chinatown from 11:00 ~ 16:00.

Apart from the event they will also release a cover of KAN’s Ai wa Katsu for cellphones which will be sung at the event with 131 people from Up Front Group as well as associated companies with Takao Horuichi leading the song. The song will be available on Recochoku on the same day.

Here is a list of the members that will support the project but that won’t be able to participate in the event (most likely due to other planned events and concerts):

  • Sugita Jirou
  • Berryz Koubou
  • Mizawa Sachika
  • Kagawa Akira
  • Nakazawa Yuko
  • Yui Kaori
  • Hatake
  • Abe Natsumi
  • Temiyan
  • Omata Masako
  • Satoda Mai
  • Yasu Megumi
  • Hirayama Miki
  • Tanaka Yoshitake
  • Matsui Erina
  • Morning Musume。
  • Tokkii

A full list of members participating in the event is after the break at the bottom of the post since there are quite a lot of members (about 60).

I’m glad to see that UFA is planning a charity event since many other companies have already planned out events, and while H!P had a few donation boxes at some of their recent events it seems like this event will be the most effective way to help.

It seems that it will be about 5 hours long, which means that it is quite a long show for all of the groups and artists that will attend the event, but it’s great news since that means that there is plenty of time and help to gather donations.

I encourage fans who can go to event to do so, and if they can to donate as well, since it is a great way to support those who were affected by the tragedy.

Hopefully we get to see some pictures from the event since it seems like this will be a pretty memorable event for fans of any UFA member.

Murata Megumi Officially Leaves Up Front Agency

31 03 2011

Murata Megumi has officially left Up Front Agency.

She posted on her blog a short message saying goodbye to show business and Up Front Agency as well as posting a goodbye message to her fans for 11 years of support.

It’s always sad to see members that have been in H!P and UFA for so long leave but this is a decision that Murata personally took, so even though she will be leaving show business and will live a normal life I wish her the best of luck with her future.

The post on her blog is really short but it does give fans a chance to read a bit more about how much she appreciates her fan’s support during the years she was part of UFA, and even though I wasn’t a fan of Melon Kinenbi I am sad to see one of the members who made H!P what it is today leave show business.

Good luck Murata Megumi!

Up-Front Girls Official Ameba Blog Opened

23 03 2011

An official Ameba Blog for Up-Front Girls has been opened.

It’s really great to see that an official blog has been opened for the members of UFZS as well as the host, Sengoku Minami, of the new H!P show “Up-Front Girls”, since this means that UFA is planning on keeping the show going on for a while and this gives a unique chance for all of the members to express themselves.

No post has been made at the moment from any girl, so I am wondering about how each member will get to blog and their own style since they have been a little shadowed being within H!P Eggs, and it’s always great to see how they interact with fans and how they each reveals their characters.

The banner of the blog features official pictures of the 6 girls with their names (from left to right): Sengoku Minami, Furukawa Konatsu, Mori Saki, Sekine Azusa, Arai Manami and Satou Ayano, for those who don’t know them yet, and it has a colorful and young feel to it with many colors and kids’ drawings everywhere.

Overall, it’s an awesome news that we get to hear and this will hopefully help promote UFZS as well as the show.

UFZS Members Introduction Video Released

7 03 2011

A video was released featuring UFZS members introducing themselves where we get to see them dance-practice.

In the video, we get to see each girl’s name appear on screen while all of them are dancing energically and in a total coordination, probably practicing for the first K-pop dance cover they will be doing within the new project, and I have to say that I’m pleased to see that they are getting more exposure and promotion.

Through the video, we also get to see the girls talking about the dance lesson and what they feel about this new project one after the other, and even though I don’t understand much, it seems that they are excited about this. In the end of the video, we get to see a little bit more of the girls dancing.

Overall, I’m really pleased to see them get many more web exposure and promotion since it will definitly help them become more popular and known by the public.

Hopefully everyone can watch it to see the dance and the girls.
