S/mileage’s 3rd Major Single Titled “Onaji Jikyuu de Hataraku Tomodachi no Bijin Mama”

31 07 2010

According to a notice from the official S/mileage site their 3rd major single has been confirmed and it will be titled Onaji Jikyuu de Hataraku Tomodachi no Bijin Mama.

The title was also confirmed in many S/mileage staff Twitter accounts:

I have to admit that I am surprised since the title is again somewhat long, but as expected of S/mileage the title does have a cute feeling to it (it roughly means something along the lines of “The beautiful Mother of a friend who works at the same part-time job”), and while I am not completely sure of the translation I am sure that I look forward to finding out what it sounds like.

From the title it could be another ballad since it seems to suggest that, although for now all we can do is wonder until a preview is released, and if they follow the same release schedule as before we can most likely expect it about a month before the release date (somewhere along 8/28).

I look forward to finding out what kind of new style Tsunku is going to try on S/mileage and what the covers will look like so hopefully we get a preview, covers or some kind of hint soon.

The release date is set for 9/29.

The fifth concert set list of the Hello! Project’s ~Fankora!~ concert series titled Hello! Project 2010 SUMMER ~Fankora! Shibuya Basho Yoru~ has been released.

Many surprises in this concert, for example Aa! and ZYX-a performed once again although this time Aa! performed Masayume which I don’t think has been performed in a while, which is quite a nice surprise for fans since it brings back memories of Aa!, and even though the song was performed by Airi, Miyabi and Saho (not Reina) it is still a great addition.

Mano also performed her 8th single titled Genkimono de Ikou! and while we have yet to see it live I would love to eventually see what fans thought of this song since it seems perfect for concert performances.

S/mileage’s 3rd single was confirmed during the MC, and many official news sources are starting to report about it which is a great sign that once again S/mileage will surprise us with a new single in a few months. Apart from that there doesn’t seem to be any more surprises, although hopefully another group/artist gets a chance to perform a song that isn’t theirs on the next setlist.

Overall I am glad to see that they are changing the shuffle groups around and letting them perform many of their old songs, and even though we didn’t get a chance to see another group perform a random song I am looking forward to finding out what other surprises they have in store for us in the next setlist.

The next concert set list will be released on 8/1 at 15:00 (JST).

Noto Arisa 2nd PB Announced, Titled “ARi02”

31 07 2010

Noto Arisa’s 2nd PB titled ARi02 has been announced.

I have only seen a few pictures from her previous PB but I have to admit that I’m looking forward to seeing this one as well since the previews above of her in a bikini all look incredible.

Most likely the PB will once again be exclusive to her appearances at an expo but I hope that we eventually get to see some non-expo releases from her since many of us would love to eventually get our hands on one of her PBs or many albums.

Despite that I hope that we get some previews soon since it would be great to see what other kind of theme it will have.

The release date is set for 8/14 (the same date for the release of her 3rd album).

Shuukan Yoro! Vol 50

30 07 2010

Site Updates: Before I summarize the updates I would like to point out that this is the 50th edition of Shuukan Yoro! so thank you to everyone who visits this site constantly and who take the time to read this section since it is a great chance to update everyone on the progress of the site and the new sections.

I look forward to reaching the 100th edition of this section (and beyond) and even though I have no idea if I will still include the weekly Yorosen episodes (most likely yes, but I have to think of a new way to show them since Youtube has already canceled one account) I do know that I will continue this section since I look forward to telling everyone about new features that I have worked on for the site.

Thank you once again for reading this weekly post!

That being said it was a somewhat busy week but I managed to advance a bit on the Discography section, although it is still far from being released since there are still quite a bit of single pages to finish. Despite that I will continue with my goal of finishing the section before starting school, which will be in about a month.

I have updated the Upcoming Releases page as well as the “Next Release Date” widget, H!P Birthday section, and the Review section so most of the sections should be up to date with all of the available releases, links and information.

For now I plan to focus my efforts on the Review section and the Discography sections since they are on the top of my to-do list, but that shouldn’t affect any other sections since the Upcoming Releases and H!P Birthday sections are updated each week (at least) and the H!P Profile section is already up to date.

Again, please look forward to the new sections and reviews I have planned, but meanwhile thank you once again to everyone who visits the blog!

Polls: The winner for this poll was Niigaki Risa with 354 votes (51%) so congratulations Risa! Sugaya Risako came in second with 182 votes (26%) and Sudou Maasa came in third place with 154 votes (22%). There was a total of 670 votes for this poll.

Congratulations Risa!

Apart from being glad to see that someone I chose finally won I am also happy to see that everyone got great support from their fans. Gaki practically had a guaranteed win throughout the week since she had half of the votes during most of the week.

Risako somewhat surprised me since she has a pretty dedicated fan base, but despite that I’m glad to see that she and Maasa didn’t have that much of a difference in votes, although I wish them the best of luck in their future polls, but for now it’s Gaki’s turn to shine so congratulations Gaki-chan!

Just a reminder for those who don’t vote: If you do have a chance please do vote, it only takes two clicks and you help your favorite member appear as member of the week!

The next poll will include C-ute members Okai Chisato and Hagiwara Mai and Soloist Mano Erina.

To make it easier for fans I will provide the direct link to the poll HERE.

Please vote!

Reviews: I did manage to finish the H!SU 3rd order review on time and I released it on Sunday as planned. Like I mentioned before I did have a bit of trouble since I had to take all of the photos again but overall I think it came out great, so please check it out and if you have any feedback on the review please leave a comment!

I included a new feature in that review since I noticed that most of my reviews just seemed to drag on and on, and hopefully with the new “Page” code I tried out it was a bit easier to read.

To basically summarize the “Page” code divides the content into pages, so what I did for the review is divide it into 5 pages: Introduction, T-Shirt, Photo sets, Visual Books, and Conclusion. I will continue to use this new feature a bit more in future reviews although I will also add an easier to find link to the next page, as requested by a fan.

For now I will try to keep the standard length of reviews to 5 pages, but of course it will depend on the review so I might add or remove a few depending on the item I am reviewing.

The next review will certainly need the “Page” code since it will be Momo’s PB review (PBs take a lot of time to review because they have many, many pages). I plan to divide the sections of the review so that there are 5 pages in total, but the final number will depend on how many pictures I end up using.

Please look forward to that review, and even though I don’t think I might have it ready by the end of this weekend (I’m almost sure) I will focus my efforts on releasing it by next week.

Shuukan Yoro: It’s the 5th Day in Mitsui Aika’s week about “Pets”.

Today’s topic is “Gourmet Food for Dogs” and as the name suggests Mitsui will show us many items for dogs, such as Udon for dogs and where a member (possibly Risa) suggests that Jun Jun try out the food. Why? I have no idea, but she does so and we get many cute reactions.

Jun Jun does try another item which is quite famous, although you will have to watch the show to find out what she drank as well as to see the many funny and interesting reactions from each one of the members.

Mitsui is one of the few members who got more than 5 episodes in her week so next week we will continue with her episodes about “Pets”, meanwhile please enjoy the episode:

Morning Musume’s 44th Single Announced

29 07 2010

Morning Musume’s 44th single, currently untitled, has been announced on E-hon. The single will be available in 4 versions: Regular, Limited A (+ DVD), Limited B (+ DVD), and Limited C (+ DVD).

I was expecting a new single announcement from Momusu sometime soon since they have just finished promotion for their last single and I’m glad to see that they have just done so since it gives us a chance to start wondering what kind of new sound they will have for their new single.

The release date is a bit far off in October but at least it gives Momusu a chance to get some (hopefully good) promotion before the single is released and with the recent new promotion strategies that they have been trying out on other groups I do hope that they try some of them out on Momusu too (such as posters with singles, something which S/mileage and just recently Mano already do).

According to Reina and Sayu they have recently started recording for what seems to be the new single, so most likely recording and editing for the song is still taking place right now, which means that a preview for the single should come sometime in late August or early September.

Despite that I look forward to finding out what kind of new sound Tsunku will surprise us with, and hopefully in the coming weeks we get hints from the girls through their blogs or at least a title that could hint at what kind of style we will see them try out next.

The release date for the single is set for 10/13, and the release date for the Single V is set for 10/20.

C-ute – “Dance de Bakoon!” Covers Released

29 07 2010

Top left: Limited A, Top right: Limited B, Bottom: Regular

The covers for C-ute’s 13th single titled Dance de Bakoon! have been released on the official H!P site.

Like expected the cover that Maimi revealed on the Ustream show was the Regular version cover, and even though we can’t tell how well it looks from the small image I am still impressed at how well the theme came out and how well it combines with the outfits.

The Limited A cover and the Limited B cover on the other hand feature a bit more color in both the background and color of the title.

For example the Limited A cover has a pink tint in the title and it features all of the members posing together while a building is in the background, and even though it is somewhat hard to read the title I have to admit that the Limited A cover is my favorite.

The Limited B cover on the other hand features Airi in the middle while everyone else is in a line on either side of her with a purple tinted title and a colorful background, and like the Limited A I really like it although the title is still somewhat hard to read.

Overall I love all of the covers since they each have a unique theme as well as a certain elegance, and despite the titles being a bit hard to read in two of the covers I do like them all very much, especially the Limited A cover which has elegance, cute pictures of the girls, a pink tinted title, plus a great background.

All that is left to see for the single is the PV so hopefully we get to see a preview sometime soon.

The release date is set for 8/25.

S/mileage Will Be Regulars On “Hanasaka Times”

28 07 2010

S/mileage will be regulars on the Disney corner of the morning show Hanasaka Times.

While I haven’t seen the show I am glad to see that they will all be regulars since it means more promotion for the group, and since they will be part of the Disney corner then that most likely means that they are trying to promote more to the younger audience.

Right now it seems that they are doing a great job of promoting since they have had many TV show appearances as well as radio shows, magazine articles and Ustream shows and with their recently announced 3rd single it will be a great way to benefit promotion for that single.

Hopefully everyone who can watch the show will since it will be fun to see what they will do.

S/mileage will appear each Saturday (weekly) at 9:25 starting 7/31.

Official S/mileage Announcement About S/mileage As Regulars On Hanasaka Times

S/mileage’s 3rd Major Single Announced

28 07 2010

S/mileage’s 3rd single, currently untitled, has been announced. The single will be available in 4 versions: Regular, Limited A (+DVD), Limited B (+DVD), and Limited C (+DVD).

I am not that surprised to see that another single has been announced for them since a new group/artist usually gets rapid releases of singles and with an upcoming tour and promotion at an all time high (for them) it is a great chance for them to increase the amount of songs they have (so they have more of their songs to sing at the concert tour) as well as to continue promoting the group.

Right now I have no idea what to expect from Tsunku since he has surprised us already with many different sounds and songs so I am excited to hear a preview for the song as soon as it is released since they might continue releasing upbeat songs or try for a more mature image, but we will have to wait and see to find out for sure.

Like most of their other singles they will have 4 editions but I would really like to see other bonus items from them since the poster campaign was a great change although the DVDs have been somewhat predictable lately, despite that I look forward to finding out what versions of the PV will be included along with each version.

Like all singles that are announced via FC newsletters we will have to wait for an official confirmation, but so far it seems like they will release a 3rd single in September.

Hopefully a title, preview, or cover preview are released sometime soon since it would be great to see what to expect from them next.

The release date is set for 9/29.

Mano Erina – “Genkimono de Ikou!!” PV Preview Released

28 07 2010

A preview for Mano Erina’s PV for her 8th single titled Genkimono de Ikou!! has been released.

From the 16 seconds of PV we saw it seems that the PV will be a combination of a dance shot featuring Mano, Saho Akari, Kikkawa Yuu, Satou Ayano, Takeuchi Akari (not sure since it might also be Sainen Mia but it could basically be any Egg with a short haircut) and about 15 other people dressed in business suits and other outfits.

Apart from that the PV will feature a close-up shot which features Mano in front of a red cloth, as well as what seems to be a story with words where Mano and the guy in a red outfit appear in front of another guy and get him full of energy (after the guy in red slaps him).

So far it seems that the PV will be very energetic since the small story within the PV as well as the 20 people dancing to the PV look very promising and while we didn’t get a chance to see more it seems that the rest of the PV might follow the same pattern although we can’t really say that for sure.

For now I will have to reserve my judgment since 16 seconds aren’t a good indicator of what a PV will look like but I have to admit that I am impressed so far with the idea of adding about 20 people to a dance shot with many different outfits as well as a small story.

Hopefully a longer preview is released soon as well as single covers.

“Himuro Ibu starring Sugaya Risako” Solo Debut Announced

27 07 2010

Sugaya Risako’s dark rival character in the anime Gokujou!! Mecha Mote Iinchou called Himuro Ibu will have a solo CD debut along with her “rival” Kitagawa Mimi (Ogawa Mana) who will also release a new single.

For those who haven’t had a chance to see Risako act out her role, here is a small clip of her in character:

Video uploaded by: masataka2038

This is a very clever idea to bring the “rivalry” from the anime to life since they will be simultaneously releasing singles in a “battle for girl power”, and even though we have no more information as of right now I am excited to see if they will perform the songs in character.

The two “rivals”- Himuro Ibu (Sugaya Risako) and Kitagawa Mimi (Ogawa Mana)

Risako definitely has the vocal skills for a solo single, but even though I am more familiar with Risako I am looking forward to listening to Mana’s single as well since I don’t really know that much about her.

This will be Risako’s solo debut as well as the first solo release from a Berryz Koubou member (if I remember correctly) so even though we don’t know much right know I am still excited to see how the song will sound and how the cover will look.

For now there isn’t much information apart from the preliminary announcement so a release date, tracklist, and more information should be released sometime soon in the coming weeks.
