Hello! Channel Vol.5 Mook Cover Released

28 06 2011

The cover for the 5th H!P mook titled Hello! Channel Vol.5 has been released.

I have to say that I was pretty impressed when I first saw the cover since it features all of the group’s leaders (Takahashi Ai, Yajima Maimi, Shimizu Saki and Wada Ayaka) posing on the street in suits and ties with a big white building behind them.

The first thing that caught my attention was Ai-chan since thanks to her haircut and pose, she definitely looks the most “manly” out of the girls followed by Captain, and I really like the whole concept of having the group’s leaders pose in buisness women outfits since it kind of reflects their position in the groups and sets this cover apart from the previous ones.

As you might have noticed, Mano Erina doesn’t appear in the cover, which is surprising since all of the leaders of the whole “Mobekimasu” groups where set to be present, but since we can’t really say she’s a leader, she got the whole back cover of the mook for herself to compensate which should equalize the share.

Overall, I’m really excited for this release since it seems that many new features and activities are planned for the members this month, so hopefully everyone can order a copy!

The release date is set for 7/13.

Berryz Koubou – “Aa, Yoru ga Akeru” Tracklist Released

28 06 2011

  1. Aa, Yoru ga Akeru
  2. Otona ni wa Nari Takunai Hayaku Otona ni Naritai
  3. Aa, Yoru ga Akeru (Instrumental)

The tracklist for Berryz Koubou’s 27th single titled Aa, Yoru ga Akeru has been released.

Apart from the title being confirmed officially I am glad to see that the full tracklist for the single has been released since we can find out a bit more about what the single will contain, and for the most part it seems that we are in for a very interesting single since both the a-side and the b-side have interesting titles.

As mentioned before the main song means Aa, Break of Dawn, but it seems that the b-side won’t follow the same theme since it means something along the lines of I don’t want to be an adult, I want to grow up fast and while I’m not 100% sure of the translation I am confident that the song will be great to hear since it has an interesting sound to it, not to mention that it goes well with the long titles that Tsunku has been using in his recent singles.

For now we have the full tracklist from CDJapan verifying the title of the single as well as the b-side, and while we haven’t seen any outfits, previews or covers it seems like this single looks great so far so hopefully all Berryz fans have their copies reserved.

We should see outfits, covers, or any other kind of previews being released in the next few weeks.

The release date is set for 8/10.

Mano Erina Will Perform A Studio Live On “U-LA-LA@7”

28 06 2011

Mano Erina is scheduled to perform a studio live on the Tokyo MX show U-LA-LA@7.

Mano doesn’t usually have many TV performances for her singles but I’m really glad to see that she at least has two so far for this single (the other being her appearance with Kikka) since it gives viewers a chance to check out the song and hopefully buy the single afterwards and since it will be a studio live it should give us a chance to check out the song performance and how the outfit and choreography will look.

The performance is scheduled for the day that her single is released so it should be of great help with the sales throughout the first week, and even though I’m not completely sure how popular the show is, any promotion is good promotion since her singles haven’t been doing that well lately (they usually sell around 13,000 ~ 15,000).

Hopefully this performance helps with her sales throughout the first week since it is a really good song, but for now I hope fans have their copies reserved since the single will be released soon (tomorrow in Japan).

The show is set for 6/29 at 7:00 ~ 8:00.
