Kikkawa Yuu’s 2nd Single Confirmed

Kikkawa Yuu’s 2nd single titled Hapirapi~Sunrise~ has been confirmed by Universal Japan’s Twitter account.

The single will also be the theme song for Nihon TV Shiodome Fair 2011.

A few days ago we mentioned the new song that Kikka had announced on her blog and we had no clear idea if it was her new single, but now we have a confirmation from Universal so that pretty much means that we can expect to see many more Kikka releases in the future, which is great news for everyone.

Not only did we get a simple confirmation but also an announcement that the song would be the theme song for a fair, which is a pretty big step since not many idols get to release theme songs for events with their 2nd single, and while we haven’t heard any preview at all it seems that Universal is pretty confident about her new single so we can most likely expect a great release.

For now we have the title but apart from that not much else since we don’t even know when the release will be available, but we will most likely get that alongside a tracklist and other info in the next few weeks.

Kikkawa Yuu’s 1st PB Confirmed and Solo DVD Cover Released

Kikkawa Yuu’s 1st PB titled YOU! has been confirmed. It will be released the same day as her DVD.

Along with the confirmation of the PB the cover for the DVD, titled YOU! ~THE DVD~ was also released.

Information about her first DVD was released earlier today but I didn’t expect to see any more info for a few days about it, but I am surprised to see that her 1st PB has also been confirmed along with the cover of her DVD since it usually takes a while until we see them, but I am glad that they did since it gives Kikka fans a chance to check out the release.

The title for her two releases are somewhat unique since they used the YOU! from her name for both, and while it might not be that creative it is still pretty cute since it shows off her cute energy as a brand new solo artist.

Apart from the names we also got a small preview of the cover for her DVD and it features Kikka sitting on the grass with a cute pose and smile, and while it might be simple it is still very impressive since we get to see her in a more relaxed pose with more casual clothes, although I hope the PB cover has a different style for its cover.

For now this seems like a perfect release for Kikka since a PB and DVD is a great start for any idol’s career and from what I can tell they are doing a perfect job so far with it since they have a cute cover and interesting, although not creative, titles.

Hopefully we get a preview in the next few weeks for the cover of the PB as well as a few shots since the release date is about a month away.

Berryz Koubou – “Aa, Yoru ga Akeru!” Full Radio Preview Released

A full radio preview for Berryz Koubou’s 27th single titled Aa, Yoru ga Akeru! has been released.

I have to say that the first feeling I got at the first listen was confusion. The song is something really special and unique that we haven’t seen from any H!P group in a long while, and I have to say that I’m impressed to see that they took the risk to try out this new style with Berryz since they seem to fit the song the best.

The song itself is quite hard to describe since it doesn’t follow a precise pattern, but it has many variations in the rythm with different instrumentals and many different sounds to it, which gives a feeling of confusion at first thanks to the unknown theme (it’s like a mix of disco with some soft rock at times), but after a few listens, the unique pattern that it follows is really amazing and new.

Another thing that caught my attention was how present Yurina’s voice was through the whole song since I almost heard her as much as Risako, but unfortunately, it seems that after 2 singles of equal line distribution, Berryz are back to Risako, Miyabi and Momoko being the main voices, with a plus which is Yurina, and even though it might seem unfair and many might be depleased by this, I think that they all did an amazing job to pull this unique song through.

The main parts of the song seem to be the disco beats during the verses, the amazing bridge at the middle where each girl sings a line with a high note, the many sound effects that only add to the uniqueness of the song, and all of those combined really prove how much effort they put in to make this song special.

Overall, it’s really one unique and hard to describe song, so I recommend everyone to hear it at least 2 times before judging if they like it or not, and hopefully to set themselves in the theme the single will have since I really like it and think it’s an amazing release from Berryz, specially thanks to its variety and the instrumental.

Hopefully everyone can enjoy listening to it and even though I think that the outfits and the song clash a bit, we’ll get a full idea once the covers and the PV are out.

Kikkawa Yuu 1st Solo DVD Announced

The first solo DVD for Kikkawa Yuu currently untitled has been announced.

I have to say that I was a little bit surprised when I read the news since Kikka didn’t have that many activities or appearances since the release of her 1st single quite some time ago, but I’m very happy to see that along with the announcement of her upcoming single, many activities seem to be planned for her.

Kikka is definitely one of the most beautiful members and I’m really glad to see that she will be getting her first solo DVD since fans can enjoy a release by her, and even though it wasn’t mentioned if a PB will come along, it’s still a great news for all of her fans and for her since she will hopefully gain more attention and get more promotion.

Hopefully more details will be out soon such as the title and the cover to see what kind of theme the DVD.
