Former C-ute member Murakami Megumi is in a new entertainment agency called WANTS.

Here is a brief description of the agency:

WANTS is a dance company.

“WANTS” is produced by S-Company, it’s a Dance-Company.
Introducing the production method, it’s not just directed public performances, we also go and promote/cultivate dancer and choreographers.

In WANTS, you’re not able to learn just lessons, we offer learning about the neccessary things of stage expression, tips to intensify approach, we aim for a high level of dance and body expression.

It has been quite a while since we last heard from Megumi so I was surprised when I read that she was finally making a comeback to the entertainment world by signing up with a new agency that specializes in dancing, which is going to be an interesting change.

I wasn’t an H!P fan when she was around but from what I can see in pictures she has changed quite a bit from her (small) profile picture at the site, and it might have something to do with her hair color change, although for the most part fans will probably recognize her easily.

Her latest performance was this weekend at the Sunshine Theatre, which is great news for fans since they can check out and support her future activities from now on, and while we haven’t seen any news about her next performance I look forward to reading about any fan reports from her performances.

C-ute Participating In A New Show Titled “Int’l After School”

3 04 2011

C-ute will be participating in a new show hold by NHK World titled Int’l After School.

The info listed on the site is:

Int’l After School is a new show aired on NHK World. It asks viewers around the world to send photos and videos, share the latest local trends, and request topics to be addressed in the program. With the fun and casual feel of an after school club, Int’l After School shares everyone’s reports from Japan to the world!

From what I understand, this show is based on the public and viewers’ daily life after school; meaning everything they listen to from music, to pictures they like of sceneries, videos about them or videos they like, etc…

The concept of the show seems very new and interesting since we will get a chance to see C-ute not only being interviewed as usual, but also interact with everything the fans and viewers share, hopefully giving their opinion about them and sharing what the like on screen, and the show being aired worldwide, it gives a chance for everyone to catch up with C-ute on TV and hopefully new fans to get attracted by their natural presence.

Apart from that, from the info listed on the official site, it seems that before the show is aired, the guests and hosts want the viewer’s to reply to a few questions by sending pictures and videos, and the questions C-ute have posted are for boys and girls (you can click on their picture for more info):

– Hey guys! If you were to go on a date with us, where would you take us?

– Hey girls! Tell us about your latest fashion item!

I find both questions really interesting since they will definitly be able to interact well specially with the question to girls where they will be able to discuss about something they have in common, and probably also helping guys by giving advice on what are the good places for dates or so…

Hopefully we will be able to catch a preview of the show soon to get an idea of what it’s really about.

The setlist for Morning Musume’s Concert Tour 2011 Spring New Genesis Fantasy DX ~Welcome 9th Generation Members has been released.

Here are a few images from 2ch, most notably a picture of the poster for the tour as well as a group picture before the concert started from a members blog and a picture of the crowd outside of the venue:

First, many fans have been wondering which colors Fukumura Mizuki, Ikuta Erina, Sayashi Riho, and Suzuki Kanon have and if you haven’t checked out the goods page for the concert here are their confirmed member colors:

Top Row (left to right): Fukumura Mizuki, Suzuki Kanon, Sayashi Riho, Ikuta Erina
Bottom Row (left to right): Mitsui, Niigaki, Ai-chan, Sayu, Reina

Like was mentioned before on an official tweet from a staff member, none of the colors for Kamei, Jun Jun, and Lin Lin will be used and from what we can tell that is the case since Mizuki has a dark pink (some fans say magenta) while Kanon has a dark green, Riho has dark red, and Ikuta has dark purple.

That being said, since the title of the tour is New Genesis Fantasy DX it was expected that we would see songs from their 11th album Fantasy! Juuichi, and not surprisingly most of the concert features various songs from the album as well as their most recent single Maji Desu ka Ska! and a few Momusu classics, most notably Suki na Senpai performed by the 9th generation as well as songs from their 10th album.

I am really looking forward to seeing the three dance solos by Ai-chan, Gaki, and Riho during Moonlight Night since they seem to be among the most talented dancers in the group, and since Riho was in a dance group before joining the group and is known for her great dance covers it seemed like the best way for her to show off her skills against her senpais.

There was a small interruption during the 12th song due to an earthquake update (or something having to do with the earthquake which hasn’t been cleared up by fans who attended) according to to 2ch, but since the concert picked up right after that without a problem it seems that it was only a small delay and that everything is ok, which is great news.

Overall I really liked the setlist since it has a great combination of 10th and 11th album songs, recent singles and classics, as well as some surprise additions like 9th generation singing Suki na Senpai, and while I would have liked more recent songs I am glad that the setlist features enough variety for fans to enjoy.

Hopefully everyone who can attend the concerts can do so since the setlist looks great.
