Kosuga Fuyuka To Leave S/mileage, Diagnosed With “Severe Anemia”

9 09 2011

It has been announced on S/mileage’s official site that current S/mileage sub-member Kosuga Fuyuka will be leaving S/mileage due to severe anemia, and will later on join Hello! Project Eggs after her long recovery.

According to the S/mileage site announcement, Fuu-chan has been feeling bad and was immediately transferred to the hospital because of her terrible condition, and later on diagnosed with “sever anemia” which seems to be when the body doesn’t produce enough red blood cells that provide oxygen, which causes dizziness, breathing troubles, etc…

I have to say that I really didn’t expect this news since it fell out of nowhere, and I’m surprised to see that everything moved so fast since fans reported that she was missing from the last S/mileage event due to a bad health condition, but it’s only now that we discover how bad her case seems to be, and I’m more surprised to see that it’s only now that they find out about her disease since there was no mention of her feeling bad before or experiencing any symptoms that might have made someone think she had anemia.

This seems like a really bad timing for S/mileage and Fuu-chan specially since S/mileage will now only continue with 7 members while their next single includes 8, and it seems like the upcoming concert tour will have to undergo some changes because of Fuu-chan’s loss, but what consoles me is that she has an assured place within H!P Eggs for when she fully heals which is a great relief for her fans since it is assured that she will keep on being active.

Even though she is set to rest for a few month, I really wish Fuyuka and S/mileage a good continuation because thanks to all of the sudden changes the group has experienced, it surely isn’t easy for the members, so hopefully everyone can keep on supporting S/mileage as well as Fuu-chan for her return in a few month as a H!P Egg.

Hopefully we will have more information as time goes by concerning her health condition, and we wish her a quick recovery.

Kikkawa Yuu – “Hapirapi ~Sunrise~” Release Date Pushed Back

9 09 2011

Kikkawa Yuu’s 2nd single titled Hapirapi ~Sunrise~ had it’s release date pushed back to 10/5 instead of the original release date of 9/21.

The news was announced via mails sent to Kikka’s FC members.

When I first saw the announcement, I was a little surprised since there seem to be no clear reason as to why the release date has been pushed back (even though it’s a matter of ~10 days), which got me wondering if it was made to have more time for promotion or just because they needed more time to finish everything concerning the single.

As some might remember, Kikka’s first single also had it’s release date pushed back, but it was mostly because of the tsunami/earthquake that hit Japan by this time, so many fans are stating that the date change for the 2nd single is due to the many artists releasing on 9/21 that would be ahead of Kikka on the charts, so maybe pushing back the release date to 10/5 will help her score a stable position on the charts with less rivalry.

Overall, I’m really surprised by the announcement but hopefully this was done to promote the single even more and to assure Kikka a place on the charts for more people to take notice.

The release date for the single has been pushed back to 10/5.

Berryz Koubou – “Aa, Yo ga Akeru!” Event V Cover And Tracklist Released

8 09 2011

1. Aa, Yo ga Akeru! (Shimizu Saki Solo Vers.)

2. Aa, Yo ga Akeru! (Tsugunaga Momoko Solo Vers.)

3. Aa, Yo ga Akeru! (Tokunaga Chinami Solo Vers.)

4. Aa, Yo ga Akeru! (Sudou Maasa Solo Vers.)

5. Aa, Yo ga Akeru! (Natsuyaki Miyabi Solo Vers.)

6. Aa, Yo ga Akeru! (Kumai Yurina Solo Vers.)

7. Aa, Yo ga Akeru! (Sugaya Risako Solo Vers.)

The Event V cover and tracklist for Berryz Koubou’s 27th single titled Aa, Yo ga Akeru! have been released.

As everyone might already know, the Event V releases for singles are usually all the same, containing the solo versions of the PV for each member of the group, and this release is no exception, but I think that it’s really nice to see that the Single Vs are still being released since it gives fans a unique opportunity to enjoy the members individually.

The cover, unlike the tracklist, looks really unique and impressive since we get to see the girls standing in their pink outfits against a dark blue sky background with many white stars and a halo surrounding them, while the bottom of the cover is full of red and pink roses alongside the title on the bottom left, and it really feels like the are pursuing the elegant theme the other covers have with adding a nice touch which is the blue background.

Overall, I would encourage everyone to purchase a copy of the single V not only to support Berryz Koubou, but also because of the unique scenes this PV had which differs from the usual close-ups.

The Single V will be available for purchase at Shibuya AX on 9/11.

Takahashi Ai – “AiAiAi” PB Cover Released

8 09 2011

The PB cover for Takahashi Ai’s 13th solo PB titled AiAiAi has been released.

At first glance, I have to say that I was just overwhelmed by Ai-chan’s beauty since the simplicity and elegance of the cover is incredible thanks to Ai-chan’s calm expression, soft make-up and elegant pose against a simple white background.

Even though I’m usually not a big fan of bikini cover PBs, I have to say that this cover is simply amazing even though it’s the case since we get to see a perfect harmony of Ai-chan’s skin alongside the background with no disturbing clothe or piece of fabric which seems like a very smart move to show off her natural beauty that is complimented by a neutral make-up and soft earrings.

The title is also doing a great job of adding to the elegance of the cover with being written in small characters and in a free white space on the top right of the cover, and the combination of the black letters for the title as well as the nice yellow tone for Ai’s name make a nice colorful addition to the sobre concept.

Overall, I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite Ai-chan PB covers ever thanks to the simplicity and elegance of the image used and the title art, and I find it an amazing farewell release with a great cover.

Hopefully everyone who didn’t do so yet can reserve a copy to provide themselves with an amazing copy of what is set to be a memorable release.

The release date is set for 9/14.

Kikkawa Yuu, Furukawa Konatsu And Mori Saki To Appear In A Movie Titled “Cheerfu11y”

8 09 2011

Kikkawa Yuu and Up-Up Girl’s members Furukawa Konatsu and Mori Saki will be a part of the movie Cheerfu11y.

Lately, fans reported the absence of Mori Saki and Konatsu from Up-Up Girl’s performances at the MAP Thater, which seems to be explained by this upcoming movie featuring the 2 Up-Up Girls members as well as Kikka, and I have to say that I really like to see those 3 former Eggs in a movie together since it seems like a very interesting film.

From the image preview we get of the movie as the small trailer, it seems that the story of the film turns around 11 schoolgirls who are training to form a cheerleader squad (which explains the cute pun in the title “Cheerfu11y” replacing the Ls with 1s to form 11), and Kikka seems to have the main role of the girl with the mission to create the squad which is a great opportunity for her.

Even though the movie seems a low-budget one like most of the ones H!P girls participate in, it seems for me like a really nice change from the usual horror movies we got used to, and thanks to the many different characters and personalities in the film, it’s set to be a very fun release to enjoy with Kikka, Konatsu and Morisaki on screen, each having a unique character to play.

Hopefully we can get a longer preview once the movie is released since I’m quite interested by the story and concept of this movie, but enjoy the trailer below since the 3 girls get to appear at least once.

The movie will air on 10/22.

Yajima Maimi & Nakajima Saki Staring in New Movie Titled “Zomvideo”

7 09 2011

Yajima Maimi and Nakajima Saki will be starring in a movie together called “Zomvideo”

From the title many of you might be expecting yet another horror movie, but according to the site it’s a comedy movie, which was quite unexpected. From the promo picture and title I’m sure it involve zombies and with that being said it might feature some unsightly things like brains and flesh because that’s the image I get when I hear zombies.

C-ute’s 17th single Sekai ichi happy na onna no ko will be used as the movie’s ending theme which I find a bit odd. I just can’t picture such a happy song being for a movie involve zombies since it’s the total opposite of the song. They might’ve chosen this song because Maimi and Nakky are the stars in this movie so it should provide some nice promotion for the single.

The movie will be release in 2012, it doesn’t specify if that release will be for DVD or theaters and there will be 2 movie screenings available on 10/12 and 10/16.

It’s still about a month away before the screening but hopefully we can get a preview soon.

Kitahara Sayaka- “Kanari Junjou” 2nd Single Announced And Short Preview Released

7 09 2011

Kitahara Sayaka’s 2nd single has been announced titled “Kanari Junjou”  and a preview has also been released.

This single will also be used as the ending theme to the anime Inazuma Eleven Go so that explains the reason we’re getting a preview the same day it’s released. She’s not exposed as much as other artists but at least doing the anime endings it’s given her some exposure and it’s good for experience.

This single will be released in 2 editions, limited and regular. The limited will include a DVD while the regular will include a photo card, while it’s not much compared to other groups I think it’s still progress so I’m happy for her.

The preview starts off with a real upbeat feeling to it and I would describe it as a “wake up anime song.” It starts off with an upbeat feeling, it goes to a less upbeat and mellow feeling, it begins to pick up a happy feeling and finally it ends with everything more “alive.” It’s kind of hard to explain but it sounds like it was inspired by other anime songs, regardless of that I think the song is pretty good and it has a nice instrumental.

Hopefully everyone can watch the preview and support Kitahara Sayaka.

The single is set to release on 11/9.

HelloPro! Time Airing Morning Musume Audition Training Camp Special

6 09 2011

HelloPro! Time will be airing the Morning Musume 10th gen audition training camp special!

As a fan this is my first time I’ll be seeing the training camp as it goes on so I’m excited to see what type of members will be there and if I remember correctly, the last training camp was from the 6th gen auditions so it’s been awhile since they’ve done this sort of audition. However I’m expecting to see something similar to the 5th gen training camp, where Tsunku trains them in singing, dancing and acting as well as observing them to see their group interaction skills.

Also according to fans there were 50 participants in the 3rd round and only 10 have passed, which really does back up Tsunku’s words that they’re of a high level.

The entire program is dedicated to the training camp so I highly recommend everyone to feature in, even if you don’t understand Japanese I would still try to watch it and check out some of the audition members. I didn’t watch a lot of S/mileage’s audition footage and from what I’ve been reading there are quite a few members from S/mileage’s audition in this audition so I need to do some catching up and see who to root for. Though in the end whoever is added as a Morning Musume member I will be fine with it.

The episode will air on 9/15.
