- Balls were thrown to the audience during Jingisukan. An announcement was later made by Makoto (Sharan Q) for those who caught the balls to head to the lobby after the concert for a present.
- Gaki-san finally got herself a short haircut. Her new hairdo looks similar to Horikita Maki’s.

Setlist Source: Cameo Eric @ JPM (Additional Info: Ondiet)

If you were wondering what Horikita Maki looks like here are two pictures of her (the one on the left is from her official site). I have no idea which of the two it is though (it’s probably the left one since Horikita’s official Facebook also has a picture of her in that style):

The setlist for Hello! Project’s 2010 Winter Concert Tour Kachou Fuugetsu ~Mobekimasu~ has been released.

I was kind of surprised that SHOCK! has 3 Egg’s as back dancers since that would mean that there are technically 7 back dancers for the song (counting the 4 C-ute member’s).

I’m glad to see that Berryz got a chance to perform one of their new songs Osakebi Boy WAO!, since it probably means that we will get to hear it in a concert rip or in the following weeks on the radio.

The medley was kind of long (10 songs total) so most likely it was done by groups instead of all at once, so hopefully we get a chance soon to see who sang what.

Apart from that the only surprising thing was the new S/mileage song and the performance of both Osakebi Boy and Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai, which means that at least some fans have been able to see the choreography for these 3 songs and heard 2 new songs.

The rest of the tour dates for ~Mobekimasu~ are:

  • 1/2 Nakano Sun Plaza (18:00)
  • 1/3 Nakano Sun Plaza (11:30, 15:00, 18:30)
  • 1/4 Nakano Sun Plaza (14:00 & 18:00)
  • 1/9 Nakano Sun Plaza (14:00 & 18:00)
  • 1/10 Nakano Sun Plaza (13:30 & 17:30)
  • 1/16 Osaka Kouseinen Kinkaikan Dai Hall (15:00 & 18:30)
  • 1/23 Nagoya Shimin Kaikan Aurora Hall(15:00 & 18:30)

The other tour 2010 Winter Concert Tour Kachou Fuugetsu ~Shuffle Deeto~ will start on 1/5 so there will still be another setlist to wait for (hopefully with new songs from the shuffle groups).

Shuukan Yoro! Vol 20

1 01 2010

Recommended: I just wanted to make a quick addition to the regular Shuukan Yoro section where I wanted to recommend a video to everyone:

Buono – Bravo Bravo (APXmusic KlubMix)

It’s a great remix of Buono’s latest single and I highly recommend everyone to listen to it. The remix has a great beat and overall the voices fit in perfectly with the beat of the techno music.

If you liked the remix please check out more of apxmusic’s other remixes at his Youtube page (link HERE).

Site Updates: Hopefully everyone had a great New Year’s Eve. I actually had to put a lot of stuff on hold since many relatives came to visit my family during the holidays so I didn’t have much time for much else.

I did a special “Best Of” post where I choose my favorite Momusu single, favorite Berryz PV, favorite PB, etc. I initially had planned to had it done before the year was over but family got in the way so I couldn’t work much on it, but I finally got a chance to release it and I think it came out well.

I also had planned to do a special “Year in Review” where I summarize the main news of the year, and I have most of it done, although I am still debating whether to release it.

I also finally got a chance to work on the “Upcoming Releases” page and I have the basic layout figured out. The list will have covers and buttons instead of worded link so that it is easier to find what you are looking for.

I just have to work a bit on cleaning the layout and linking all of the items to the products, which should take about a week. I still plan to have the old text only page as well so people who don’t like the new layout can still use it (I will update on that more when I release it).

Polls: The winner for this poll was Natsuyaki Miyabi with 191 votes (42%) so congratulations Miyabi! Shimizu Saki came in second place with 84 votes (19%), Okai Chisato came in third place with 81 votes (18%), Tokunaga Chinami came in fourth place with 63 votes (14%) and Sudou Maasa came in fifth place with 32 (7%). There was a total of 451 votes for this poll.

I let the polls go one more day since I wanted to do a “H!P Poll 2009 Results” post, which I will release this weekend, where I will show you how many votes each person got and what position they had.

It might not be that informative (this is just a fan site and not a poll of all fans, Hello! Blog’s yearly poll is more accurate for English speaking fans since it has more visitors) but it’s just a post to see how each member ranks according to the fans who visit this site.

I decided to go on doing 3 person polls for the year since it has just the right amount of choices for people to choose from. So this poll will include Morning Musume member’s Michishige Sayumi and Lin Lin with C-ute member Yajima Maimi:

Please vote!

Reviews: Since I had no time to work on the site because of family visiting I couldn’t release all of the reviews before New Year’s as promised so sorry if anyone was waiting for an update.

I did get some few chances to work on the Chinami PB review though and I expect to have it done by this weekend. I also got some small chances to work on the other reviews, but I couldn’t finish much, mostly just the review of the unboxing, so they will probably take some time to finish.

I will probably work on the H!SU 2nd order review and the Kumai PB review next since they are the one’s that are more complete, but I don’t expect to release them until next week.

I will update with more on the Review page.

Shuukan Yoro: It’s the first day in Niigaki’s week about “Coming of Age ceremonies”.

We get a chance to learn from Gaki about the many coming of age ceremonies in Japan during this episode.

For the most part the episode is more informative and it features a lot of interesting information about the ceremonies and the practices of some of the prefectures of Japan.

Top Favorites In Hello! Project For 2009

1 01 2010

Seeing that everyone was making their own lists of their top 5 of the year I decided to join in as well (peer pressure), but since I don’t really have a bad opinion about anything from H!P I decided to just do a “Best Of” from each group with many various categories.

The list is a bit long so I decided to put it after the break:

Happy New Year 2010!

31 12 2009

A quick post to wish everyone a happy New Year and a safe New Year’s eve with their loved ones. I know that it is somewhat early since it is still 2009 in most of the world, but it’s officially a new year in Japan and since this is a site for Japanese groups I might as well join in on the festivities along with them.

A lot has changed during the year 2009, but 2010 looks like a great year for Hello! Project, and with the support of the many current H!P fans around the world I know that Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Mano Erina and S/mileage will achieve many more amazing accomplishments.

My New Year’s wish is that everyone has a great year 2010, and also that H!P continues to provide us with many more great songs and performances.

And even though I am only a fan I would like to ask all H!P fans to continue to support Hello! Project in the ups and downs during this new year, since support from the fans is the key to a groups great success.

So as another year starts so does another chapter in Hello! Project’s lengthy history, and I hope that you can join me in supporting Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Mano Erina, S/mileage and the rest of H!P’s former artists during this new year.

Happy New Year 2010!

S/mileage – “Suki-chan” PV Preview Released

29 12 2009

A PV preview for S/mileage’s 3rd indie single titled Suki-chan has been released.

I have to admit that I’m impressed with what I have seen so far since they managed to add a lot of interesting shots to the PV.

One of the most interesting is the shot of the 4 girls singing the song while sitting near some hay wearing casual clothes since it gives us a chance to see the girls having fun while singing the song.

The dance shot is the main part of the PV and while that isn’t surprising I couldn’t have asked for a better shot since we get to see the girls dancing from various angles outside.

Overall I was really impressed with what I saw since the amount of shots included in the PV and the quality of those shots is by far one of the best I have seen from them.

The Single V for the single is set for release on 1/2.

Mari Yaguchi to Straw Hat – “Kaze wo Sagashite” PV Released

29 12 2009

The full PV for Yaguchi Mari to Straw Hat’s debut single titled Kaze wo Sagashite has been released.

For the most part the PV was a combination of live shots mixed in with some green screen shots, similar to Seishun Boku.

The live shots are done in the Hexagon studio, and everything about the performance was impressing but it seemed just a bit too rigid since everyone except Yaguchi just looked at the camera and did some basic choreography.

The choreography is a bit basic overall since it only involves about 3 moves, but it was kind of expected since it is a Hexagon single (I wasn’t expecting a “C-ute” level dance for the song since it is a ballad after all).

In my opinion this is a great PV, but it could have been slightly better if they would have tried a bit harder since the One Piece theme allowed for a more complex PV.

The release date for the single is set for 1/13.

Wada Ayaka Official Blog Opened

28 12 2009

S/mileage member Wada Ayaka has opened up an official blog.

I like how many members from S/mileage are suddenly getting a chance to set up a blog since we get many chances to hear about their daily life’s.

It also gives us a chance to see behind the scenes from new song releases and PV sets, so it is also a great advantage for S/mileage fans since she might post a preview of the costumes or some other type of preview (although hearing about her life is great as well).

Hopefully Wada is able to post each day (she says she will try her best to do so) and we get to hear about how she spends her day.

Kamei Eri 3rd Solo DVD and 8th PB Announced

28 12 2009

Kamei Eri’s 3rd solo DVD has been announced for release, currently untitled. A PB announcement is expected to come sometime soon.

According to the description of the DVD the new PB is confirmed and it will be released on 2/25. The location for the PB has also been revealed to be Hawaii.

I’m excited that we finally get a chance to see Kamei in a PB again since it has been about a year that we saw her in her PB 20 Hatachi.

Hawaii seems like to perfect location for Kamei since we could get a shot of Kamei with some “kame” (turtles) for the PB and since it is a great location for PB shooting and the making of the solo DVD in general (we might have some interaction with English-speaking locals for the DVD).

I have no idea what the significance of 3 is, other than the match up with Kamei’s 3rd PB, but we will hopefully be able to see some preview for the PB sometime in February and the DVD in March.

The release date for the DVD is set for 3/3 and the PB is set for release on 2/25.

Morning Musume 10th Album Announced, “10 My Me”

28 12 2009

Morning Musume’s 10th album titled 10 My Me has been announced on E-hon. There are 12 tracks on the album and the limited edition comes with a DVD with Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai LIVE Ver and the solo Ver for each member.

According to the Yamano site there are 5 unconfirmed songs that will be on the album:

1 しょうがない 夢追い人 [Shouganai Yume Oibito]
2 なんちゃって恋愛 [Nanchatte Renai]
3 気まぐれプリンセス [Kimagure Princess]
4 女が目立って なぜイケナイ [Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai]
5 Moonlight night~月夜の晩だよ~ [Moonlight Night ~Tsukiyo no Ban da yo~]

Platinum 9 DISC included Naichau Kamo so at least 4 of those tracks are confirmed to be included, although the 5th one hasn’t.

The title, Moonlight Night ~Tsukiyo no Ban da yo~ (English: Moonlight Night ~It’s the moonlight night~) sounds a bit like a ballad, so we will have to wait and see how it sounds and who is included (and if it is included since it is still unconfirmed).

For the most part I’m glad to see that we finally get to see the 10th album since it has been about 9 months since Platinum 9 DISC was released.

Hopefully everyone gets a chance to shine in each track and we get great covers for the album.

The release date is set for 3/17.
