Yajima Maimi & Nakajima Saki Staring in New Movie Titled “Zomvideo”

7 09 2011

Yajima Maimi and Nakajima Saki will be starring in a movie together called “Zomvideo”

From the title many of you might be expecting yet another horror movie, but according to the site it’s a comedy movie, which was quite unexpected. From the promo picture and title I’m sure it involve zombies and with that being said it might feature some unsightly things like brains and flesh because that’s the image I get when I hear zombies.

C-ute’s 17th single Sekai ichi happy na onna no ko will be used as the movie’s ending theme which I find a bit odd. I just can’t picture such a happy song being for a movie involve zombies since it’s the total opposite of the song. They might’ve chosen this song because Maimi and Nakky are the stars in this movie so it should provide some nice promotion for the single.

The movie will be release in 2012, it doesn’t specify if that release will be for DVD or theaters and there will be 2 movie screenings available on 10/12 and 10/16.

It’s still about a month away before the screening but hopefully we can get a preview soon.

Kitahara Sayaka- “Kanari Junjou” 2nd Single Announced And Short Preview Released

7 09 2011

Kitahara Sayaka’s 2nd single has been announced titled “Kanari Junjou”  and a preview has also been released.

This single will also be used as the ending theme to the anime Inazuma Eleven Go so that explains the reason we’re getting a preview the same day it’s released. She’s not exposed as much as other artists but at least doing the anime endings it’s given her some exposure and it’s good for experience.

This single will be released in 2 editions, limited and regular. The limited will include a DVD while the regular will include a photo card, while it’s not much compared to other groups I think it’s still progress so I’m happy for her.

The preview starts off with a real upbeat feeling to it and I would describe it as a “wake up anime song.” It starts off with an upbeat feeling, it goes to a less upbeat and mellow feeling, it begins to pick up a happy feeling and finally it ends with everything more “alive.” It’s kind of hard to explain but it sounds like it was inspired by other anime songs, regardless of that I think the song is pretty good and it has a nice instrumental.

Hopefully everyone can watch the preview and support Kitahara Sayaka.

The single is set to release on 11/9.

HelloPro! Time Airing Morning Musume Audition Training Camp Special

6 09 2011

HelloPro! Time will be airing the Morning Musume 10th gen audition training camp special!

As a fan this is my first time I’ll be seeing the training camp as it goes on so I’m excited to see what type of members will be there and if I remember correctly, the last training camp was from the 6th gen auditions so it’s been awhile since they’ve done this sort of audition. However I’m expecting to see something similar to the 5th gen training camp, where Tsunku trains them in singing, dancing and acting as well as observing them to see their group interaction skills.

Also according to fans there were 50 participants in the 3rd round and only 10 have passed, which really does back up Tsunku’s words that they’re of a high level.

The entire program is dedicated to the training camp so I highly recommend everyone to feature in, even if you don’t understand Japanese I would still try to watch it and check out some of the audition members. I didn’t watch a lot of S/mileage’s audition footage and from what I’ve been reading there are quite a few members from S/mileage’s audition in this audition so I need to do some catching up and see who to root for. Though in the end whoever is added as a Morning Musume member I will be fine with it.

The episode will air on 9/15.

Reborn ~Inochi no Audition~ Stage Play Official Blog Opened

6 09 2011

The official blog for Reborn ~Inochi no Audition~  the stage play has been opened.

Like most blogs for stage plays, this one will be opened temporarily. Though this play has a very mixed cast so regardless of the blog’s short life span I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re all doing together behind the scenes. A summary about the play was released but it doesn’t tell us much so I’m hoping we can get some hints of the play through the blog and when the play does begin I’m looking forward to seeing what the characters are like since we’ve only seen small previews of things.

So far there’s only one post, which is from the staff member announcing that the special blog will start soon. It’s not much a post but hopefully the cast members will start posting and I look forward to it.

Just a reminder the stage play will be from 10/8-10/17, so we can get an idea of how long the blog will be active.

Hello! Project 2012 Calendar Covers Released

6 09 2011

The covers for Morning Musume, Takahashi Ai, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Mano Erina, and S/mileage’s 2012 calendars have been released.

Each year there are always calendars for the main groups in H!P for the next year, like for most artists/groups, although this year we have had many lineup changes for two groups so as a result the lineups are really different, the most obvious of them being the Momusu calendar cover which notably only features 8 members, as a result of Ai-chan having her own solo calendar.

There will most likely be many who are disappointed (for Ai-chan not being in the cover or Riho being in front) but I am still impressed with how it looks since everyone came out amazingly well: from Riho’s smiling face to Sayu and Mizuki’s cute expressions I really liked how everyone turned out, especially Kanon who seems to be the only one who didn’t simply smile but also threw in a peace sign as well.

The white painted wood fence fits in with the casual outfits everyone is wearing and while I would have liked to see Eripon with short hair and the title a bit bigger and not in cursive, it’s still an amazing cover and well worth a look for anyone.

Ai-chan got her own calendar this year, and it’s not surprising since the calendars will be released on the day she graduates, technically making her a solo performer/artist, so it’s nice to see that she didn’t just get pushed aside and was instead given a really great way for fans to remember her, and while I would have preferred a picture of Ai-chan smiling I have to admit that the picture of her looking at the camera in front of a white background is enough to make me want to get a copy.

Berryz Koubou’s cover is colorful, modern, and basically among the standouts for the H!P calendar releases since it’s a nice and cool way of showing all of the members off, and with each member smiling widely while wearing an outfit with their member color as well as a background with their member color it really looks impressive.

C-ute’s cover is a bit similar to Momusu’s since it’s a group picture in front of a wooden fence (with a plant in the corner to complete the theme), and while it’s a bit less casual due to the uniform styled outfits I was impressed with it since everyone is easy to see and with their own hairstyles they all have a nice way of standing out from the rest.

Mano’s cover can be summed up with two words: perfection or angelic and it’s easy to see why since it stands out from the rest due to the amazing light effect they added, which gives Mano’s already cute picture an almost heavenly look, but while the picture looks perfect there is a small but very noticeable mistake: the bottom says that the calendar is for 2011.

It’s a small mistake that really stands out since everything else apart from that is simply a masterpiece, and while I’m biased as a Mano fan I am still concerned that it might affect sales in one way or another since many might think that it’s last years calendar but hopefully staff caught the mistake and fixed it since everything apart from that is perfect.

S/mileage has gone through quite a lot in the past few months, with 5 new sub-members joining the group and one member leaving, and since calendar pictures are usually taken months in advance (as evidenced by Eripon’s long hair) it’s not surprising to see that the cover for the calendar has not been released since they are probably still working on it, and while it’s still not available I hope we get to see every member, sub or full, clearly since it’s a great opportunity for everyone to show off their cute poses.

Overall the covers are as always impressive, and while there might be a few mistakes here and there (Mano) I still loved how all of the covers looked since each group/member has a unique style that fits in with their group theme, and while many (including me) wish they could have them all I will probably get Mano and Momusu’s calendars since they are the ones that stand out the most to me.

Hopefully everyone has their favorite already picked out from the cover alone, but if not I encourage you to check a few previews of the calendars once they are released since they are a pretty nice addition to any H!P fan’s house, and with large pictures for every month with your favorite group/member it really is a must have for anyone who can get one.

The release date is set for 9/30.

S/mileage – “Tachiagaaru” Covers Released

6 09 2011

Regular Cover

The covers for S/mileage’s 7th single titled Tachiagaaru have been released.

It’s great that we finally get to see the covers for this single since there are many that want to check out how their first 8-nin single looks, and with 6 editions of the single it’s safe to say that they did an amazing job giving each one their own theme since there isn’t a single cover that features the same style or lineup.

As mentioned by Tsunku the five new members are just sub-members for the moment, so that’s mainly the reason why the members have different colored outfits and appear in the back or to the sides of the lineups, and while I would have preferred to see a bit more of a mixed cover with members posing with sub-members in an equal way I still like how the covers turned out.

Most of the covers have a simple look, for example the Regular cover, which features Yuuka, Wada, and Kanon smiling at the camera with the five sub-members in the back posing in front of what appears to be a chain link fence with wire on top in front of a blue sky, and for the most part it’s a perfect regular cover since it’s simple, eye-catching and cute.

Limited A and B

The outfits for this single have a slight flight attendant look to them, so not surprisingly the Limited A cover features the members all in a yellow plane, but I like how it looks since it’s cute and happy in a S/mileage way. The Limited B features a more traditional S/mileage pose with all of the members hugging each other, and while Kana’s pose looks a bit awkward and Yuuka seems to be bending forward it seems like a great cover for S/mileage fans to enjoy (although getting used to more than four members hugging each other will take a while).

Limited C and D

Collages are used throughout all of the group’s covers so with 6 covers it’s not surprising to see that they added one with that style, specifically Limited C, and despite the very clear distinction between the sub and normal members, I really liked how it turned out since it’s eye catching and a nice change of pace compared to the other group pictures.

The Limited D cover is a bit weird since I have no idea how they relate a truck to the single, but it’s cute and a nice way of fitting everyone in, and with Akari holding the flag it really seems like a great cover for anyone looking for a distinct and cute themed cover.

Limited E

At first glance the Limited E cover stands out, mainly because of the black background, and I’m a bit confused as to why they suddenly change from the happy cartoon styled themes to a solid black curtain, but they might be referring to the flight attendant theme once again by having them stand in front of a black curtain since it’s elegant and distinct.

For me the main standouts for this single would definitely be the Regular, Limited A, and Limited B covers since they seem like the best choices for anyone looking for a cute cover that shows off everyone clearly. The Limited E seems a bit too dark for a happy song, the Limited D is a bit too random, and while the Limited C is a bit too distinct with the division of members I would say that it’s a close second for me.

Hopefully everyone has their copy of the single reserved and if not the covers should do a good job of helping everyone decide since they are a nice choice for S/mileage’s first 8-nin single mainly because they show off everyone clearly while giving us a feel of what the theme of the PV will be.

The release date is set for 9/28.

S/mileage – “Tachiagaaru” Preview Released

4 09 2011

A preview for S/mileage’s 7th single titled Tachiagaaru has been released.

The preview was recorded from an event so the quality isn’t the best but even though it’s somewhat hard to listen to the instrumental I really liked the way the song sounds so far since the chorus is really catchy, and with the additional effects the song really sounds like another great S/mileage release.

It’s somewhat hard to tell who sings what but I think that everyone has at least one line, which is always a nice addition since we can check out how each one of the members sing, and even though the chorus seems to repeat a bit too much it really make this song stand out, along with the happy instrumental.

Like most live previews I will wait for a recorded version before I can say for sure that I love this single since there might be a few differences, but for the most part this single sounds amazing so far and I strongly recommend everyone check out the preview as well.

The release for the single is this month so we should see a recorded preview sometime in the next few weeks, with a PV hopefully coming soon after, although for now it seems that Tsunku has once again managed to capture S/mileage’s sound in an interesting and catchy song.

Hopefully everyone has their copy of the single reserved, and if not this preview should help some fans decide.

The release date is set for 9/28.
