“Shugo Chara! CLIP Daishuugou” DVD Announced

31 01 2010

A PV collection for Guardians 4 and Shugo Chara Egg! titled Shugo Chara! CLIP Daishuugou has been announced.

From the list on the image the tracklist for the DVD seems to include all of the PVs for Guardians 4 (Omakaze Guardian, School Days, Party Time, and Going On!) and Shugo Chara Egg (Minna no Tamago and Shugo Shugo!).

It also seems that there will be a video from the event on 2/14 which included Guardians 4, Shugo Chara Egg and Buono as well as a video for the new version of Arigatou ~Ookiku Kansha!~ (possibly from the event as well).

They probably didn’t want to release different DVDs for the two groups since Shugo Chara Egg has only released 2 PVs, but at least this is a great way for fans of both of the groups to own all of them at the same time.

I’m glad to see that we are getting a PV collection from Guardians 4 and Shugo Chara Egg since this means that fans will have a chance to own all of the PVs plus some extra videos from the Shugo Chara event.

We will have to wait for an official confirmation of the DVD, but so far I am looking forward to it.

The release date is set for 3/17.

The DVD for Hello! Project’s 2010 Winter Concert Tour ~Shuffle Deeto~ has been announced. The setlist for the concert is shown above, although it might have a few changes since it is the setlist for the first day.

It’s great to finally get a confirmation of the dates for the DVDs since I was somewhat curious as to how they were going to release the concerts, and I’m glad to see that we will be getting two separate DVDs, with the first release being the Shuffle Deeto DVD.

Hopefully we get covers and a confirmed setlist for the DVD sometime soon (most likely near the end of February or the start of March).

The release date is set for 3/31.

Shugo Chara Album Featuring Guardians 4, Shugo Chara Egg and Buono Announced

23 01 2010

A Shugo Chara album including Guardians 4, Shugo Chara Egg!, and Buono! has been announced, title currently unknown. The album will be available in Limited and Regular versions, with the Limited edition featuring a DVD.

The album will feature all Guardians 4 singles, all Shugo Chara Egg songs, Buono’s Kokoro no Tamago and Minna Daisuki, and a special version of Arigatou ~Ookiku Kansha!~ performed by Guardians 4, Shugo Chara Egg!, and Buono!.

When I heard about the album I was surprised since it was great news to hear about a Shugo Chara album which will feature all of their songs, and despite already spending well over my limit on H!P goods I will have to seriously consider buying this.

The tracklist revealed so far is made up of only the OP themes of the anime mixed in with the covers from Shugo Chara Egg, and this is most likely due to Buono already releasing all of the ED in their own albums.

We will probably get a chance to find out what the new version of Arigatou ~Ookiku Kansha!~ sung by all of them sounds like sometime soon since the release is in about a month, so hopefully that is the case.

The release date is set for 3/10.

H!P Releases January 20

21 01 2010

4 releases today, Morning Musume’s Yomiuri LAND DVD, Mano Erina’s PB, and Guardians 4’s 4th single:

Morning Musume – YOMIURI LAND Live: The DVD for Morning Musume’s Live at Yomiuri LAND which features 9-nin Musume performing various b-sides along with some of their singles.

Setlist for event (some additions to DVD such as backstage scenes and opening talks):

1. Hand Made City
2. Love and Peace!
3. Kimagure Princess
4. Inspiration
5. Subete wa Ai no Chikara
6. NATURE IS GOOD!
7. Please! Jiyuu no Tobira
8. Sexy Boy ~Soyokaze ni Yorisotte~
9. Sono Bamen de Bibiccha Ikenai jan!
10. Happy Night
11. KoiING

I will review a few parts of the concert since it is somewhat long to review completely, to start off:

Subete wa Ai no Chikara

The b-side to Morning Musume’s 40th single which is slightly laid back but still upbeat. The performance was interesting to watch since everyone sang and danced great (especially Sayu, Koha and Lin Lin). Not much else to say since it was such a great performance with everyone giving their best.

Sono Bamen de Bibiccha de Ikenai Jan!

The song is the b-side to their Resonant Blue single which is one of the most upbeat songs and likewise the performance was one of the most happy I’ve seen from the members from the great singing and dancing (not counting Ai-chan’s cute mistake at 0:37 when she steps in the wrong direction and laughs with Reina) to the high energy from the crowd.

Backstage and scenes of concert

Video uploaded by: marioshingai

The backstage part of the DVD is an interesting section since it shows us Morning Musume when they arrive at the concert, take breaks, and have a handshake event with fans (first time it is shown on a DVD if I remember well).

This video also shows us a few parts of many songs (including a part at 0:54 which shows us what Eri does to Mitsui when she is following her) which aren’t that long but they do give us a general idea of what songs the girls had performed before taking a break.

Overall the DVD is one of the best I have seen from Momusu simply because it is one of the few real outdoor concerts they have done in daylight, which is a great thing because we get to see them better. This DVD is definitely recommended to fans of the not so commonly performed b-sides since it is one of the few events where they are actually the spotlight instead of an addition.

Mano Erina – Tengoku no Door: Mano Erina’s 2nd PB.

After Mano’s 1st PB it was somewhat expected that we would get a chance to see her again in a PB (mainly because she is one of the cutest members in H!P) and not surprisingly we got another chance to do so in Tengoku no Door (English: Heaven’s door).

For the most part the PB features the common Bikini-Casual theme with many pictures of Mano wearing casual clothes such as the white dress above or the outfit below on the left and also many pictures of her wearing bikini.

Not surprisingly we get a chance to see many pictures of a somewhat more matured and experience Mano which is easily noticeable even in the cover since she looks a bit more calm than usual.

The many pictures I have seen of the PB (UTB previews, LQ previews, scans, etc) do give a good idea of what to expect from the PB, and I can honestly say that I like what I have seen so far since there are a lot of great Mano pictures included.

Picture on right is a LQ preview not a scan

Overall I would definitely recommend this PB to anyone who can buy it simply because of the many perfect pictures of Mano we get to see in it, and while I would have liked to see somewhat of a more happier theme I am still happy to see that Mano is getting such great attention.

Guardians 4 – Going On!: Guardians 4’s 4th single which debuted at #7 on the Oricon chart. The single features an a-side sung by Guardians 4 and a b-side sung by Shugo Chara Egg.

The cover features Guardians 4 in their yellow costumes posing near some street signs, and while they didn’t appear in the PV (at all) they looked great on the cover since it makes it somewhat more colorful to see. The title art could have been a lot better since the letters look a bit too thin, but I like how colorful they look.

The PV features Guardians 4 in the process of filming the PV being directed by a giant lion, a small elephant and an enormous mouse and I have to admit that the theme was cute since it gives the PV a feeling that it was made with children in mind (actually everything by them is made with children in mind since they are the target audience).

The song Going On! has more references to Shugo Chara than their previous song which actually makes the song a bit more catchy for fans of the anime. The rhythm is catchy and the instrumental is one of their best, and despite the somewhat laid back feeling the song has it actually turned out to be one of their best songs.

The b-side is sung by Shugo Chara Egg and it features the new Egg Tanabe Nanami, and despite them not having separate releases (something which I would like to see them do) they manage to shine by themselves since we get a chance to hear them sing a song that is equally catchy and great as the a-side.

This is Tanabe’s first time singing so it is somewhat understandable that she hasn’t perfected her voice, but her unique voice actually made the song better since it was a nice change to hear her over the other members during some parts (similar to Koha’s high voice in ballads).

For the most part I really liked the single since it features a catchy a-side done by Guardians 4 with an equally catchy b-side sung by Shugo Chara Egg with their new member Tanabe Nanami, and while the PV wasn’t as great as it could have been it is still a well made PV and it deserves a watch as well as a listen.

Next release date is in one week with the DVD for C-ute’s last concert (Umeda Erika’s last concert) and Mano Erina’s 2nd solo DVD.

Guardians 4 – “Going On!” PV Released

10 01 2010

The full PV for Guardians 4’s 4th single titled Going On! has been released on Dohhh-UP.

For the most part the PV was great since it has many different shots such as the normal close-up and dance shot’s, but also a shot of them “recording” the song.

The theme of the PV seems to be to make it as cute as possible since they have a lion director, an elephant cameraman and a mouse, which don’t appear that much during the PV, but do appear in the beginning, middle and end.

The dance was a bit simple but that’s a great thing for some since it is easy to learn, and I really like how the dance fits the song in some parts well.

The recording shot was interesting since it was a nice change from the “close-up+dance shot” PV’s, and even though they are just singing while standing they act out some parts of the song when they aren’t singing.

The many anime shots in the PV somewhat ruin the experience since they don’t seem to fit the PV at all, so hopefully they can start releasing PV’s sometime soon without those shots (Buono does it, although Guardians 4 lacks the fan base).

Overall the PV was impressive since it featured a lot of different shots (even a shot of the girls posing with vegetables, why I have no idea).

The dance and the song went well together and while the song could have been a bit more upbeat it still came out great since it featured many references to the anime and it also had some catchy parts.

The release date is set for 1/20.

Guardians 4 – “Going On!” Preview Released

8 01 2010

A preview of Guardians 4’s 4th single titled Going On! has been aired on the new Shugo Chara Party episode.

Pic source: xNiigakiRisax

From the screen shots we get an idea of what to expect to see: Guardians 4 dancing in a house while animals tape the PV, which sounds like a really cute PV.

The set looks incredible and I especially like how they added only yellow and white colors (I’m not counting the brown beams on the ceiling) to the set since it makes the set look as cute as the theme of the PV.

The song is upbeat but somewhat more calm, but it’s still catchy and impressing. The preview is half anime and half Guardians 4, which probably means that we won’t see a preview on Youtube anytime soon (anime is taken down faster than music videos).

The PV itself features the dance shot, close-up shots and also a new shot which has all of the members singing into a microphone (similar to a recording session) which kind of suggests that the theme of the PV is showing everybody how the PV is made (by dancing animals).

Overall I’m impressed with the song since it has a great catchy rhythm, but the PV could have been better if it didn’t have anime in it, but despite the anime in the PV I liked the rest of the PV.

The setlist for Hello! Project’s 2010 Winter Concert Tour Kachou Fuugetsu ~Shuffle Deeto~ has been released.

For the most part the setlist looks fantastic since every group gets a chance to perform a few songs from their respective groups, but we also get a chance to see a random set of girls perform other shuffle songs such as BE ALL RIGHT! and Suki Sugite Baka Mitai.

I’m particularly interested in the 15th track LOVE LIKE CRAZY since it features 3 of the best dancers from H!P: Ai-chan, Kame and Shimizu and also in the 14th track Suki Sugite Baka Mitai since it’s one of my favorite H!P songs.

It seems that most groups got a chance to perform two songs before they moved on to another song, which is great news since it means that all of the members got plenty of time to shine.

The fans at the concert also got a chance to listen to Guardians 4’s new song GOING ON! which is great news for us since we will probably also get a chance to hear the song when the concert rip is released.

Overall I’m satisfied with the setlist since it features some of the best shuffle songs and it also gives everyone a chance to appear for at least two songs.

The rest of the tour dates for ~Shuffle Deeto~ are:

  • 1/5 Nakano Sun Plaza (19:00)
  • 1/6 Nakano Sun Plaza (19:00)
  • 1/7 Nakano Sun Plaza (19:00)
  • 1/8 Nakano Sun Plaza (19:00)
  • 1/17 Osaka Kouseinen Kinkaikan (15:00 & 18:30)
  • 1/24 Nagoya Shimin Kaikan (15:00 & 18:30)
