Shuukan Yoro! Vol 94

Site News: The header is finally up!

A big thank you to our author Ayuchii for designing the banner, and I’m glad to see that she did offer her help since the other banner was in use for quite some time (I think about a year). Now that the banner has changed I will try and keep it updated by changing the header more frequently (I would say once every 3 months or so), that way there is more variety and a new style every few months instead of one banner each year.

Apart from that the Upcoming Releases section has been finally updated! All current items from H!P and the links to their CDJapan, HMV, and YesAsia pages are now up to date, and since it wasn’t updated for quite some time there was a lot of work to do so now it shouldn’t take that much to make weekly updates (at least).

I will update the layout of the Upcoming Releases section since the current one I have is a bit too “image” heavy (meaning that there are quite a lot of unnecessary images used to give the page its layout), but for the most part it shouldn’t affect the current style to much although I am looking into some other new layout to keep the site refreshed with a new style.

For now I will concentrate on updating the other sections that are left (Upcoming Releases, Birthday, and Profiles are up to date) so please look forward to that, although there is a chance there might be some layout changes in the future for some sections but I will keep you informed once those changes are confirmed.

Polls: The winner for this poll was Niigaki Risa with 530 votes (51%), congratulations Risa! Tanaka Reina came in second with 346 votes (33%), and Kikkawa Yuu came in third with 168 votes (16%).

There was a total of 1,044 votes for this poll.

Congratulations Gaki!

I somewhat expected to see Gaki win this poll since she was the 2010 overall winner, and not surprisingly she won – by a lot. Gaki managed to get 51% of the votes, which is really high since most winners usually get about 45%, but I am happy to see that she won, although I was surprised to see the results for the 2nd and 3rd place.

Reina managed to get 33% which is normal for members who get 2nd place, but since Gaki got quite a lot of votes Kikka came in 3rd with only 16%, which is pretty low since most members who get 3rd place usually get about 25%. The low result is most likely due to her barely starting off her career (not to mention that she is going up against Gaki), but I hope that she gets a higher position in her next poll, and she probably will since Kikka’s popularity grows each day.

For now congratulations to Gaki, and good luck to Reina and Kikka on their next polls!

Next poll will feature Shimizu Saki, Nakajima Saki, and Maeda Yuuka, and since the members for this poll don’t usually place that high it should be a good way to find out who will be the winner in a somewhat fairer match. Captain seems to have the upperhand since she won 3 times last year, Nakky has won once, and Yuuka hasn’t had a chance to win, so it will be very interesting to see if this will be Yuuka’s first win or if it will be another additional win for Nakky or Captain.

There’s only one way to find out, so please vote and we will find out the results next week!

Just a reminder for those who don’t vote: If you do have a chance please vote since it only takes two clicks and you help your favorite member appear as member of the week!

To make it easier for fans I will provide the direct link to the poll HERE.

Please vote!

Shuukan Yoro: It’s the 5th day of Sudou Maasa’s week about “Ping Pong”.

Today is the grand final of Maasa’s Ping Pong tournament and we will find out if Chii or Maasa will win in this very interesting match. Momo introduces the competitors at the start of the match and after a quick comment by Chii the match starts.

This time we get to see most of the match and it’s interesting to see how both of them react as the match progresses (and how Momo reacts when she almost gets hit again near the middle of the episode, although someone else got hit by the ball). In the end there is only one winner and it’s funny to see Maasa’s reaction, since she progressively becomes louder and louder.

With that this week’s teacher ends and next week we will start the last teacher of the series – Hagiwara Mai, so please look forward to that. Meanwhile please enjoy this episode:

I’m really surprised with Gaki’s results. I know Gaki was the 2010 winner and all but Reina is also a very popular member and I would’ve expected to see the results a little bit closer…. But Gaki is one of my favorites and I’m glad she got this one :)
