The covers for Berryz Koubou’s 26th single titled Ai no Dangan have been released.
When I first saw the covers I was very impressed since it seems that they followed a similar theme with each (“cool” theme) but they did an amazing job by giving each one of them a different look and feel, and while they are only small previews I am excited to see that the covers have such interesting and cool themes.
The Regular edition usually has a normal theme that doesn’t stand out that much, and compared to the other covers that may be a bit true since they don’t have flashy graphics or effects, but I am impressed nonetheless since we get a really cool group picture of Berryz posing next to a blue wall with symbols on it, which is really well done and due to the cool poses that each member is doing it makes the Regular cover stand out in its own way.
The Limited A cover features Berryz Koubou posing next to a red motorcycle, and as some Akira fans might have noticed it seems that it has a similar theme (red outfits and red motorcycle) which is pretty impressive since all of the members look amazing next to the red motorcycle and thanks to the light effects on the background it makes the cover look really cool.
The Limited B features all of the members posing in white and black boxes while looking to the right and posing, and while it might be the simplest of the Limited editions (and maybe the Regular edition too) I really liked the way that each members stands out in their sexy and cool poses alongside the title in the upper right box.
The Limited C cover is the most impressive of them all (Limited A and C had great effects) since it features each member looking at the camera while posing in front of what appears to be a mechanical background, and even though some members seem to be squeezed in (Chii for example) I am impressed with the way the background and the dramatic poses each member are doing look.
Overall I liked the Regular, Limited A, and Limited C editions since they seem to have a unique theme that stands out against the others and grabs the viewers attention (Regular has a great group picture and background, Limited A has great light effects and a motorcycle, and Limited C has a dramatic look), and while the Limited B didn’t stand out for me I really liked the way that they all looked.
The song so far seems to have a unique theme that doesn’t follow Berryz Koubou’s latest releases but I really like the way it sounded since it has a great feeling and theme to it, and along with these covers I am confident that this release will be pretty memorable since they seem to be doing a great job with their image.
Hopefully we get bigger covers, but I also hope fans have their copies reserved since it seems that this release will be one of their best.
The release date is set for 6/8.
