Morning Musume – “Only You” Tracklist Released

4 05 2011

The tracklist for Morning Musume’s 46th single title Only You has been released.

01. Only You

02. Yamette yo! Sindbad

03. Only You (Instrumental)

The tracklist has nothing different from regular tracklists since it features a normal A-side, coupling song and the instrumental of the main song, but the most interesting thing should be the title of the B-side that was finally revealed.

I have to admit that the first thing that comes to my mind when I saw “Sindbad” was something similar to Kimagure Princess in the Arabian rythm since Sindbad is one of the most famous Oriental characters, and if this is what the song is referring to, it seems like a very interesting addition for the fans since those songs usually have a more mature theme.

Although we don’t have yet any preview of the A-side, we can’t precisely say if it is fun and happy, a ballad, or a mature song, so we can’t really say if the B-side complements the first song, but it still seems to be an interesting song (Stop! Sindbad) judging by the title itself.

Hopefully a preview of one of the songs will be out soon to set a general theme to the release.

The release date is set for 6/15.

The c/w reminds me of Nagisa no Sindbad.

^ Exactly my thought.

Isn’t Sinbad a japanese nickname for a guy who is kind of a player? That would make a lot more sense as a b-side rather than the Indian feeling you might be thinking of.

Is that so?
My japanese isn’t very good but if it’s the case the title yet would seem more appropriate….
Thanks for the info!!

^ Really? That’s a cool little fact that I have never heard of before. Plus, with Yamette, it makes sense. Like “Stop Player!”. You’re probably right! Thanks for that! ^ ^

I don’t really know if it’s really a used term, just that Pink Lady used “Sinbad” for the cheating guy in the song.
Nagisa no Sinbad lyrics:

Yeah, totally makes sense though, right. That the main song would be something a little, lovey-dovey, passionate number followed by a song saying he broke her heart.

The more I listen to “Only You” the more I am falling in love with it. So happy that Riho is one of the leads.
