HQ covers for Berryz Koubou’s 7th album titled 7 Berryz Times have been released.
It’s great to see high quality covers for Berryz Koubou’s album being released since it let’s us check out the theme in greater detail, and I can say for sure that I love the covers even more after I got a chance to see them in better detail since the elegant theme they used along with the great looks for each member look amazing.
The regular cover features all of the members in a lineup (from left to right: Maasa, Chii, Miyabi, Risako, Kumai, Momo, and Captain) in front of a blue curtain while posing with some microphones in elegant black dresses and shiny accessories, and while I really liked the elegant theme and the poses from each one of the members I couldn’t help but notice that Kumai seems a bit out of place.
It might be due to her being placed with the two shortest members or it might be that it would have looked a bit better if she was in the middle, but it seems that the lineup could have been improved a bit if she was moved to the center or if they could have zoomed out a bit, but despite that I loved the covers theme and how great everyone looks.
The limited edition features a collage styled elegant theme where we get to see photos of each one of the members in “cards” in front of a silver themed background, and for the most part this cover is the most impressing since we get to see everyone’s elegant and gorgeous look, and while I usually notice Chii, Kumai, and Momo more than the other members I have to admit that I loved how great everyone looks here.
The only thing I didn’t like that much was that the title is somewhat hard to see since it seems to blend in with the similarly colored background, but the amazing pictures of each member will most likely make up for it by making sure people at the store pick up the copy and read the title up close.
Overall both of the covers have their own styles that will most likely appeal to different fans, such as the Regular cover with it’s great lineup and elegant blue background or the Limited cover with its elegant silver background and close-up pictures, and while I liked the Limited version better I really liked how they both looked.
It’s still to early to say for sure when the album could be released since major labels such as Universal Music and Zetima have already announced the postponing of their releases, but I hope we can see the album being released in the next month or so.
The release date is currently set for 3/30.
