C-ute – “Aitai Lonely Christmas” PV Released

13 11 2010

The PV for C-ute’s 14th single titled Aitai Lonely Christmas has been released.

When I first saw the full PV I was very impressed since they used many different shots: solo close-up shots in front of Christmas trees in snow, group shots in the snow, group shot in the sled, solo shots of each member in the house (where the rooms light up at the beginning and turn off at the end of the PV), and many other shots and angles, and overall I love the way the PV looks since it is very unique and different from other previous PVs.

When you watch the PV you will most likely notice that something seems to be missing, and it took me a while to figure out that there doesn’t seem to be any dance shot in the PV, which is somewhat surprising but a nice change from previous PVs which seem to be almost all dance and close-up shot.

The PV starts off with many different shots of a house where the rooms slowly light up to show each member inside, and during most of the PV we see each member singing in the rooms as well as doing other things such as drinking tea, and I have to admit that I liked it a lot since it added a nice calm but sad feeling to the video.

Apart from that I really liked the way the many snow shots looked since we got to see each member alone and in a group, and even though there wasn’t that many movements in the group shot I loved the way that the falling snow fit in with the Christmas theme of the song.

There was also a shot of the girls singing in a sled which apart from fitting in with the theme made a unique and interesting shot since there were many angles and scenes with it, for example during the bridge of the song where they sat in it while looking off camera.

Overall I loved everything about the PV: the shots, outfits, scenes, and the many angles since they added a calm but impressive Christmas feeling to the video, and even though there wasn’t a dance shot I liked the way that the lonely Christmas feeling of the song matched the many snow scenes as well as the house with a room for each member.

Hopefully fans watch the PV and buy a copy of the single since this single looks amazing so far.

The release date is set for 12/1.

S/mileage – “Warugaki 1” Cover Preview Released

13 11 2010

A preview for one of the covers of S/mileage’s first album titled Warugaki 1 has been released.

When I first saw the cover I was impressed since it features a colorful and happy theme with S/mileage up close to the camera while waving and smiling in front of a background featuring colorful markings, and even though the preview is somewhat small I have to admit that I love what I have seen so far.

The outfits they are wearing are somewhat unique since they have a great design, and although it is a bit hard to tell how they look on the small cover there were a few images that were just added on the site that feature the outfit:

From what I can tell they are very impressive since they each feature a red suit top along with short shorts and red boots (Maeda is the only one with a hat), which is a nice change from the suit and skirt theme we have seen from them for quite a while.

The theme for the cover is somewhat hard to see but it appears that the backgrounds feature colored markings along with a very impressive title art which features a hand with one finger up to signify the one in Warugaki 1.

Overall the cover preview isn’t big enough to judge for now, but the outfits and colorful theme make the cover unique and very impressive, so hopefully we can see better quality covers being released in a few days.

The release date is set for 12/8.

Mano Erina Will Appear In The Drama “Face Maker”

13 11 2010

Mano Erina announced on her blog that she will be appearing in the 11th episode of FACE MAKER.

Here is the synopsis of the drama:

Kirishima, a skilled plastic surgeon who previously used to work for the US ‘Federal Witness Protection Programme. His nickname is “Face Maker.” Patients come to him seeking to change their lives, and he grants them that wish with a new face. He doesn’t take money but asks for his patients’ previous faces as a payment. How would you feel if you encountered someone with your former face?

I’m glad to see that Mano is appearing in more and more dramas since it gives her a chance to appear in more popular series as well as to promote her latest single or album release, and since this drama has just started airing (since 10/7) it should be a good opportunity for her to show of her acting skills.

From what I can tell in the synopsis of the drama it does feature a somewhat suspenseful storyline, but since Mano has already performed in quite a few horror and suspense dramas and movies this should be a familiar area for her.

Hopefully we get to see a few previews before the drama airs, but since she will appear until the 11th episode we still have quite a bit of time until she appears since the drama has recently started airing (according to what I can tell since it started on 10/7, Mano should appear on 12/16)

The drama airs every Thursday at 23:58 (JST).

Bigger “Hello! Hello! ~Memories~ Morning Musume Kamei Eri, Michishige Sayumi, Tanaka Reina” PB Cover Released

13 11 2010

A bigger cover for the 6th generation special PB titled Hello! Hello! ~Memories~ Morning Musume Kamei Eri, Michishige Sayumi, Tanaka Reina has been released.

I’m glad to see that a bigger cover has been released since we get to see the theme and pictures used a lot better, and from what I can tell the cover is very impressive (and a bit sad at the same time) since it features all of the Rokkies sitting in front of a dark sunset while looking at the camera with calm expressions.

Since the PBs theme is about reliving memories before Kamei graduates it was somewhat expected that we would see a calm and slightly sad cover since that is most likely how they and many fans feel about the graduation, but I have to admit that I really like the way the theme looks since the title even has a similar “memories” theme since it is featured in gold cursive letters.

As for the Rokkies, they each have a calm expression on their face as they sit next to each other in front of a dark sunset and for the most part I am happy to see that they chose this cover since the mood of the PB along with the setting match the feelings of many fans.

Along with the cover here are a few previews (since the PB was already released):

From what we can see they are wearing the Rival Survival outfits, which is somewhat surprising but a nice touch since they are the outfits for their last tour together, apart from that there were many mentions from fans that the PB focuses more on casual shots and not bikini shots, which is a nice touch since most fans would have wanted to see a PB with pictures of the girls in normal clothing.

The previews above are all very impressive, especially the group shot since they are wearing the outfits for the tour in a forest, but I love the way each individual shot looks since they feature very impressive poses such as Kamei in front of some stairs, Sayu resting on the floor, and Reina posing in the middle of a road.

Overall the PB is very impressive since the calm but sad cover of the PB along with many casual shots of the girls are a great combination for a memory-filled PB, and even though we haven’t seen many pictures from the PB itself it seems like a must-have PB for Rokkie and Momusu fans alike.

Hopefully many fans buy the PB since it seems like an amazing release.

The PB was released on 11/12.

Bigger Berryz Koubou Alo Hello! “Rainbow Berryz” PB Cover Released

13 11 2010

A bigger cover for Berryz Koubou’s Alo-Hello! PB titled Rainbow Berryz has been released.

Shortly after a small preview was released we get to see the full size cover, which is great news since it gives us a chance to check out the theme better and overall I am very impressed with how it looks since it features all of Berryz in bikini tops and jean shorts (Risako has a jean skirt for some reason) in front of the beach.

The picture they used is amazing to say the least since we get to see Berryz Koubou smiling happily with the impressive Hawaiian beach behind them, and even though it seems a bit too similar to the DVD cover I have to admit that I liked it a lot since it fits the theme of Alo-Hello.

The word art features the word Rainbow colored in the seven different member colors (in the order they are in): yellow (Captain), orange (Chii), purple (Miya), green (Kumai), pink (Momo), red (Risako), and blue (Maasa), along with the title in Japanese, Niji-iro Berryz, and the logo for Alo Hello and the group beneath it.

Overall I am very impressed with the cover since it features a great summer theme for the Alo-Hello theme, and even though it is a bit similar to the DVD cover I really love the way it looks overall since we get to see everyone smiling in front of a beach.

The release date is set for 11/17.
