Shuukan Yoro! Vol 65

12 11 2010

Site Updates: Again a very busy week which didn’t leave me much time to work on the site, but this weekend I will have a small break since I don’t have any homework or other school related work so I will take the opportunity to update the many sections of the site.

Tonight I plan on updating the H!P Birthday section and tomorrow I will update the H!P Releases section and try and get up the Link page by the end of the weekend since I had to start most of it again due to a layout change.

I decided to take down the “Next Release Date” widget for a while since I haven’t had a chance to update it, but I do plan on eventually putting it up again when I get a chance to update the Releases section.

So for now I have quite a bit of work to do and I will try and do most of it by tomorrow since I am still trying to catch up on sleep (sleeping for 4 hours a day due to school can be a bit overwhelming) but by tomorrow I should be ready to finish the sections, so hopefully I can update as much as I can.

Polls: The winner for this poll was Kumai Yurina with 328 votes (40%), congratulations Kuma-chan! Hagiwara Mai came in second with 264 votes (33%) and Tokunaga Chinami came in third place with 217 votes (27%).

There was a total of 809 votes for this poll.

Congratulations Kuma-chan!

I am a bit surprised to see that there wasn’t that much difference between each position when compared to the previous poll, which is a good thing since that means that each member has great support for fans.

Even though I would have liked Chii to win I am glad that Kumai won and that Maimai got 2nd place since that means that they have a great fanbases, so hopefully Chi and Maimai win next time, but for now congratulations to Kuma-chan!

Just a reminder for those who don’t vote: If you do have a chance please vote since it only takes two clicks and you help your favorite member appear as member of the week!

Next poll will feature Niigaki Risa, Lin Lin, and Yajima Miami so everyone please vote for the next H!P member of the week!

To make it easier for fans I will provide the direct link to the poll HERE.

Please vote!

Reviews: Another busy week which means that I didn’t get a chance to finish that much, but I am confident that I can advance a bit in this section this weekend since I don’t have that much to do for school.

I will probably not finish the review by this weekend, but I will try my best to do so since I really want to get the reviews done as soon as possible, but I will release one for sure during the next few weeks (I will try and finish the ones I have left before Thanksgiving, which is a bit difficult although I will try my best).

Hopefully I can finish the review as soon as possible!

I will update the Twitter when the review is released so please look forward to it!

Shuukan Yoro: It’s the 1st day of Kamei Eri’s week about “Tuna”.

The class today features a revelation from Kamei about how much she loves tuna (according to her a lot) as well as some tuna basics and trivia such as how much the biggest tuna weighed and why the big-eyed tuna is called big-eyed.

For the most part the episode is very funny, and many fans who know Kamei’s character will instantly know that the episode will be a very entertaining one, so hopefully fans watch this episode since it is a great one:

Bigger Covers For Morning Musume’s “Fantasy! Juuichi” Released

12 11 2010

Left: Regular Version, Right: Limited Version

Bigger covers for Morning Musume’s 11th album titled Fantasy! Juuichi have been released.

It’s great to see that bigger covers have been released since it gives us a chance to look at the themes better, and from what I can see they are amazing since they each have a dark or bright background along with interesting doll poses.

Each cover features all of Morning Musume in the princess outfits from their latest single Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game which isn’t that surprising since it will be released a little bit too soon after the single, and even though the outfits are not original I do like how they look since they are very elegant (we only saw the outfits for a minute in the PV so it shouldn’t be a problem for most fans).

Apart from the outfits each cover has a doll theme where all of the members are in doll poses, which is very impressive since the princess outfits along with the somewhat simple backgrounds do make each member seem like a porcelain doll.

As for the covers themselves, the regular version features a light brown background with a building in the background, and despite it being a bit simple I like the way it looks since it almost seems to suggest a storybook.

The Limited cover features a dark background with a very elegant dollhouse in the background along with a dark sofa, and I have to admit that this is my favorite cover since it features an elegant theme that matches the doll poses that each one of the members is doing.

Overall the covers are very impressive and among the best album covers I have seen from Momusu since the doll poses, elegant backgrounds, and impressive and unique princess outfits all combine to form an elegant but simple theme.

Hopefully we get to hear a few previews of the songs since I would really like to find out if they will relate to the cover, but meanwhile I hope many fans reserve their copy of the album since it seems like it will be a very impressive release.

The release date is set for 12/1.

Official “Minna Happy! Mama no Uta” Site Opened

12 11 2010

A site for Tsuji Nozomi’s album titled Minna Happy! Mama no Uta has been opened.

For the most part the site is a great way to promote the album since it has many great images featuring Tsuji with kids as well as previews for all of the tracks in the album (including the original song Chibi Deviwru), and even though there isn’t much else it gives fans a chance to listen to a few previews before buying the album.

Each song has a short preview but it does give us a good idea what to expect, and overall they are great covers of the songs since they feature Tsuji singing many classic favorites (sometimes with a group of children), but for the most part since many of us have heard the songs there aren’t that many changes apart from the vocals.

The original song Chibi Devi w ru (not a spelling mistake) is somewhat different from the other songs since it has a harder and faster beat, which sounds pretty impressive, although for some reason it stands out from among the other songs on the album.

The previews are low quality but they give fans a listen to the songs, and they are all very impressive, so hopefully fans visit the site and listen to a few of the songs so that they reserve a copy of their album.

The release date is set for 11/24.

Berryz Koubou Alo-Hello! PB “Rainbow Berryz” PB Cover Released

12 11 2010

The cover for Berryz Koubou’s 2nd Alo-Hello! PB titled Rainbow Berryz has been released.

Like the cover for the 6th generation PB we get to see yet another very small cover, and even though that may be the case I have to admit that I love the way it looks since we get to see Berryz Koubou standing in bikini’s in front of a beach while posing (similar to their DVD cover).

The word art features the word rainbow in the seven different member colors in the order they are in: Captain (yellow), Chii (orange), Miya (purple), Kumai (light blue), Momo (pink), Risako (red), and Maasa (dark blue), which is a nice and interesting way of relating to the title and to fans of the group.

For now I will wait for a better quality cover to form my opinion but I have to admit that I really like what I can see so far.

Hopefully fans reserve their copy of the PB since it seems like it will be a great release.

The release date is set for 11/17.

Bijou Gaku DVD Vol.1 and Vol.2 Announced

12 11 2010

Vol.1 and 2 DVDs for the H!P show Bijou Gaku have been announced. The first volume features episodes from Bijo Gaku while the second volume features S/mileage Major Debut no Michi (Eng: The road to S/mileage’s Major Debut).

I’m glad to see that the episodes for Bijo Gaku will be released on DVD soon since it has been an interesting series, and even though many fans haven’t had a chance to see it yet they will hopefully do so when the DVD is out.

It’s interesting to see that there will be two separate releases, one featuring episodes from the series and another featuring the S/mileage sections, but it does give S/mileage fans a chance to own a DVD full of videos from the start of their career.

Overall I am looking forward to the DVD release since the series looks very interesting, and even though it isn’t as popular as other past H!P shows it is definitely worth a look.

The release date is set for 12/29. Page For Bijou Gaku Vol.1 DVD Page For Bijou Gaku Vol.2 DVD

Kitagawa Mimi & Ibu Himuro Are “Independent Artist of the Year 2010” Nominees for Billboard JAPAN

12 11 2010

Kitagami Mimi & Ibu Himiru (Ogawa Mana and Sugaya Risako) have been nominated as Independent Artists of the Year 2010 for Billboard Japan.

I am very surprised to see that they are being nominated as indie artists of the year since they have only released one single so far together, but I am glad that they are since they both are very talented.

Voting ends on 11/15 so there is still time for fans to go to the Billboard Japan site and vote for them (along with any other artists you like in the other categories), so hopefully many Risako fans do so since competition for the category is tough (Dir en Grey and Orange Range to name a few).

The awards will be on 2/6/2011.

Morning Musume To Perform On Music Japan

12 11 2010

Morning Musume will perform their latest single Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game on Music Japan.

I’m glad to see that promotion for the single is already being planned with a TV performance on Music Japan since it is a pretty popular show and will most likely be a great way to promote the single and album.

We haven’t had a chance to see the single being performed on a show so it will be interesting to see how the dance and song are received by the audience, although it will most likely not help that much with first week sales since the performance will air about a week after the release of the single.

Despite that it will be a great way for fans and casual fans to enjoy a great performance of this single, so hopefully we get a chance to see it when it airs.

The performance will be on 11/28.
