Buono! – “MIRACLE HAPPY LOVE SONG” Preview Released

28 01 2010

A preview of the c/w for Buono’s 10th single titled MIRACLE HAPPY LOVE SONG has been released on the Pony Canyon site.

The preview is 41 seconds long, but it gives us a good idea of what to expect since it probably is about 1/3 of the song.

For the most part I am incredibly impressed with the preview since it sounds a lot better than I expected. I thought it would sound like a typical Jpop song with a few guitar instrumentals added, but instead I was really surprised to hear a rock song with upbeat lyrics.

From the preview it seems that they all have more or less the same number of lines, so at least we know they are keeping the single well balanced and equal.

Hopefully the singles sells well since it has an incredible tracklist along with a well made PV and some great covers.

To hear the preview click on the sound icon next to the title of the song on the Pony Canyon site (link below) and a pop-up screen will appear with the preview.

The release date is set for 2/3.

Mano Erina – “Haru no Arashi” PV Preview Released

28 01 2010

A preview for the PV of Mano Erina’s 6th single titled Haru no Arashi has been released.

For the most part the PV features scenes that are mostly just Mano, for example the close-up of Mano’s face that takes up a big part of the preview (about 9 seconds out of the 30).

Despite the close-ups the preview featured some very interesting parts such as the scenes of Mano near a door, holding a flower and also of her just smiling at the camera as wind blows against her hair.

The preview doesn’t suggest much about the overall PV so I will wait until we get a full version before I form a solid opinion, but so far I like what I see.

The release date is set for 2/24.

H!P Releases January 27

28 01 2010

Two releases today which include the DVD for C-ute’s latest concert tour as well as the 2nd solo DVD for Mano Erina:

C-ute – Concert Tour 2009 ~Cutie JUMP!~: the concert DVD for C-ute’s latest concert tour which features the graduation for Umeda Erika.

Most of the concert is on Youtube and since I haven’t seen most of the concert I chose two songs that caught my eye, first is this one:

C-ute – Bye Bye Bye!

C-ute’s Bye Bye Bye! which features a very energetic performance by all of the members of C-ute, as well as some incredible vocals. For the most part the song stands out as one of their best songs because of how well distributed the lyrics are and also because of the catchy and upbeat sound.

Not much else to say about the performance since they all sing incredibly well along with performing the choreography perfectly while smiling throughout.

The next song I picked because of obvious reasons:

C-ute – Wasuretakunai Natsu

Videos uploaded by: marioshingai

This is easily the most emotional song from the concert since the song starts right after an MC where the girls said some encouraging words to Ume and as a result most of them are already crying when the song starts. Umeda sings the first half of the song alone while the rest of C-ute forms a semi circle around her.

After 2:40 the rest of C-ute joins in singing with her and it is somewhat heartbreaking to see all of the members trying their hardest to continue singing while crying. Chisato seemed to be crying a lot, as well as the other members but I’m glad that they made sure that Umeda got a great goodbye.

Overall this DVD is highly recommendable to everyone since it is a very important point in C-ute’s history (since it is the first graduation), and while the DVD will most likely be emotional for many C-ute fans it is still a great addition to any collection.

Mano Erina – Mano Guide in Yakushima: Mano Erina’s 2nd solo DVD.

Since I haven’t had a chance to see the solo DVD I will summarize the preview that was released on Dohhh-UP sometime ago (since I already reviewed it when it was released):

Mano Erina In Yakushima

Video uploaded by: circusls06dd

The video basically gives us a few scenes from the DVD where we get a chance to see Mano at the beach, in a forest and out shopping to make a special meal. Like expected we do get to see plenty of Mano in bikini, especially during the beginning and middle of the preview.

I’m not sure what the DVD is exactly about but most likely it involves Mano going around Yakushima while the camera follows her, so it most likely is really entertaining.

Overall I would definitely recommend this DVD, especially to Mano fans since it is after all her 2nd solo DVD where we get a chance to accompany her throughout Yakushima.

I haven’t had a chance to check out the entire DVD but I will definitely take a look when a subbed version is released.

The next release date is 2/3 with Buono’s 10th single Our Songs and Guardians 4’s Single V for Going On!.

  • Furukawa Konatsu
  • Sainen Mia
  • Mori Saki
  • Kitahara Sayaka
  • Saho Akari
  • Takeuchi Akari
  • Guest: S/mileage

For the most part the setlist looks perfect because of the great variety of songs they included, such Koko ni Iruzee! and Suki Sugite Baka Mitai.

While we don’t have the opportunity to see who is singing what we do get a chance to find out which songs S/mileage are going to sing, which are two of their singles: the upbeat Suki-chan and the somewhat more laid back Asu wa Date na no ni, Ima Sugu Koe ga Kikitai.

Hopefully all of the members get a chance to shine and show of their talents with great parts in the songs (especially Mori Saki who has a lot of talent).

I will update with the list of who is singing what when it is released.

The concert is scheduled for 2/28.
