The cover for Morning Musume’s 5th PV Collection titled Eizou The Morning Musume 5 ~Single M Clips~ has been released on the official H!P site. The cover looks amazing, mainly because I really liked the costumes used in Nanchatte Renai (not that big on the tiny hats though) and because Sayu and Gaki are the first two.
The red, black and white theme they use for the cover is impressive and it gives the cover a slightly more mature look. As expected they divide the girls into the same three groups we are used to seeing them in: the big 3 in the middle (Tanaka, Ai-chan, and Kusumi), the middle 3 in the top (Gaki, Sayu, and Kamei) followed by the 8th generation on the bottom (Linlin, Mitsui and Junjun), but at least they made every box the same size.
The use of red streamers adds a bit of variety to the cover, plus it gives the girls something to hold on to make their poses more realistic.
Overall I’m really impressed by the cover, even though they used a simple three color theme they managed to make it look professional and mature to reflect Morning Musume’s new sound.
The release date is set for 8/19.
