Today AX officially began with the opening ceremonies, and it was also the start of Morning Musume events including the Q&A panel, and the first autograph session. If anyone wanted to see what the opening ceremony looked like (or to refresh their memory) here are some videos:

The exit after the opening ceremonies, nothing much apart from a darkened stage and the girls waving goodbye.
HERE is an album from Shiranaina with pictures from the opening ceremonies, they were wearing the Shouganai Yume Oibito costumes.
There was also a Q&A where fans got to ask questions, HERE is a summary of the Q&A (source: jimdawg @ H!O). From what I understand there was a lot of shouting, there were even people shouting at the introduction video about Momusu’s history (hopefully because they were excited). Tanaka and Kamei were probably the most talkative. Reina played janken with an audience member and Kamei did the Aa~to! pose with Risa (Source: H!O)
If you didn’t know Yossie also attended AX today and was at the Hello! Project booth helping out and posing with someone in a Hangry costume. Here is a picture (source: Hello-Online):

An important thing to notice is that the tickets for the Morning Musume autograph session ran out by 1:30PM! FYI: JapanFiles and JPopHouse autograph tickets sold out by 1:30. 200 Morning Musume / 150 Hangry (Source: H!O) There were a lot of items up for sale at the booths such as “Platinum 9 Disco posters, Platinum 9 Disco visual book, special Hangry and Angry + MM U.S.A posters, the 2009 Winter Kakumei Gannen MM fan, 2 photo sets, a platinum 9 disco bag” (Source: burnt glitter @ H!O).
I heard that the biggest problem was the lack of organization and people cutting in line, the first part can’t be improved but I would like to ask the people who are lining up to please respect the line, there are people who are waiting for a long time I don’t think anyone would like to be left out after waiting for hours because someone didn’t have the patience to wait.
Hopefully everyone got their merchandise and they had a great time, tomorrow is the concert and the Hangry autograph session, so if anyone is hoping to get an autograph please arrive early, this will make it more likely that you will get one. Practice your wota chants!

The overview of Day 1 might be a bit all over the place, since I don’t exactly know what happened (I am not currently attending AX). If someone sees something that is wrong please correct me by commenting below, or comment with your experiences at AX, we MM fans that aren’t attending would love to hear what is going on, thank you!
