Three releases today, two versions of C-ute’s 9th single Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu and Suzuki Airi’s solo DVD titled Pure Blue:

°C-ute – Shochuu Omimai Moushiagemasu, C-ute’s 9th single, it was a cover of a Candies song and it featured a b-side by Tsunku titled Zancho Omimai Moshiagemasu. I liked the song overall, Yajima and Suzuki got most of the lines (as expected) but they did more group lines which actually made the song sound more “full” (in a good way).

The b-side is a Suzuki solo song, an although I have only heard a little bit the song kind of had an “after summer” feeling (basically a ballad). I liked the sound of the song, but I would have liked for them to include someone else too, it kind of seems unfair that all of the members get to participate in the cover of a song, but only one gets to participate in the new song. Overall recommendable for C-ute fans, and fans of Suzuki Airi.

Suzuki Airi – Pure Blue, the solo DVD release for Suzuki Airi’s latest PB which was titled “Ao Iro”. There was a preview released on Dohhh UP, and I have to say I really like it (I’m a Suzuki Airi fan, but I will try and be fair).

There were many scenes of her doing stuff in Taiwan, for example cooking (food is a big part of the DVD), Tai Chi, riding a bike, and having fun at the beach (and getting knocked down by a wave). There are also scenes of her posing for the PB, and most of the shots I have seen came out great. Overall recommendable to everyone, especially Suzuki Airi fans.

Next release will be of the Single V for Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu, and the final concert DVD release of Milky Way in one week (technically 6 days in Japan)

Morning Musume OPV Contest Official Top 25 Nominees

The top 25 nominees (finalists) list has been released by UFA for the 3,2,1 BREAKIN’ OUT OPV contest. The top number of nominees by area are: Japan (14 nominees), Canada (2 nominees), USA (2 nominees), Singapore (1 nominee), Netherlands (1 nominee), Austria (1 nominee), Hong Kong (1 nominee), Mexico (1 nominee), Brazil (1 nominee) and Norway (1 nominee).

Right about now many might be asking themselves why there are more nominees from another area other than US, well to all fairness it wasn’t a US-only promotion, it was open to everyone. The OPV’s look amazing, I honestly cannot pick a single winner, hopefully someone at AX can let us know who the winner is when they announce it in some days.

I’m also surprised because of the variety of areas that participated (UFA finally knows that there are H!P fans all over the world, that in itself is a prize to all fans), and I wish the best of luck to everyone, may the best one win!

I’m glad to see that their was a fairly big crowd there to greet them (close to 150 according to dracko712 @ JPM-MM). I heard Ai-chan, Risa, Tanaka and Linlin calls, there were probably more but we will probably see more videos later where we can hear them better. Here is another video that is a bit clearer but with no sound:

If you notice Risa looks really impressed to see that many fans waiting for her, she even looks at the other members while smiling in disbelief. Most Momusu fans arrive by Friday for the concert so I really hope to hear that the concert was a success (there is still time to learn the chants)!

In the above video you can see Reina (back to black hair again) kind of run away when some fans start running after them. (or she is trying to catch up with the others). I was kind of expecting something like this to happen, but I’m glad most of the fans kept their distance and respected them.

The release date for S/mileage’s aMa no Jaku Single V has been announced. I was kind of expecting an earlier release date, but since it’s an indie release the date is kind of justified.

Like usual the PV will probably appear some 3 days before the release (usually happens with releases). I am excited to see the PV, since the previews that were released looked really good.

The release date is 7/19.

The schedule has been released for Morning Musume’s concert tour fall 2009 titled Nine Smile. I’m curious as to what they might do in Fukuoka 4 days after Tanaka’s birthday, but I guess we will find out when the date comes.

A fall 2009 concert schedule has been released for Berryz Koubou with more dates likely to come. In total there are 12 performances known (6 days times the 2 performances each day), but the number will most likely go up as time passes.

ºC-ute Concert Tour Fall 2009 Schedule Released

The schedule for C-ute’s concert tour fall 2009 has been released. I don’t have the romaji for the dates, but I will update when I find them.

Like expected Kanna will not be present, hopefully she will be back soon, but it’s better to be fully recovered than to risk more injury.
